Oathbreakers? Not those scarey things in the old stories your grandfather used to tell us when we were small? Free? She shudders and hides her face in his chest now truly frightened.
She nods her head still on his chest when he says will probably have to leave to deal with them. She looks up when he says that he wants her and the Amabassador to leave for Bakura. That bad? She sighs softly when he kisses her forehead and says. You better. She hugs him. Please be careful. Those things don't play nice.
The Ambassador comes back in realizing that Amelia wasn't with him when he left.
He walks over to them in time to hear Nick say that the Ambassador and Amelia should go back to Bakura. When do you want us to leave my boy?
What about the plague? What are you going to do about that?

Nick sighs sadly and nods his head. "Unfortunately yes. And with me being the guardian protector of Bakura, I have to go and keep it safe. I have to swing by Yavin IV and get details on the assignment first." He smiles softly when she hides her face in his chest and softly caresses her hair.
He looks at her. "Yeah, its going to be bad. The ancients had enough trouble banishing them when they were loose to begin with." He hugs her back. "Don't worry. I'll be okay, I'm going to have Claire and my family there as well."
Nick turns to look when Ambassador Corvinus walks back in and nods his head. "As soon as you can get clearance from Orbital Control, Ambassador. When you guys get there, call a meeting for the Bakuran Parliament that way I can address them when I arrive."
He stops and sighs. "Right, the plague. I'm beginning to think this might've been caused by the Oathbreakers. I'll stay long enough to get the labs started and get the scientists here going in the proper direction for finding a cure."

Amelia hugs him tight when he sighs but looks up surprised at his next words. You are the Guardian Protector? When did that happen? She enjoys the feel of his hand on her hair but sighs when he says that it going to be bad. I will see you there then? Claire is coming too?
She gives another sigh when the Ambassador Corvinus comes up to them and reluctantly steps away from Nick's embrace. I need to pack then. When do you want me to be ready? She asks the Ambassador but looks at Nick.
Corvinus to Nick. I will do so my boy as soon as I get back. You got it we will be ready for you.
To Amelia.
Will two hours be enough?
She nods. I never unpacked. So I could be ready within the hour.
Good. I will be ready then too.
Fair enough Nick. We will go so you can get started.
Come on Amelia we need to leave. He starts to walk away.
Yes, sir. She starts to walk away and then turns back and throws her arms around Nick's neck and kisses his cheek. Goodbye Nick. She then blushes when she realizes what she just did and scurries away after Ambassador Corvinus. But when she gets to the door she turns back and gives Nick one last loving look then she leaves.

Nick sort of smirks and grins at the same time. "Well, you can thank my dear Cousin for that honor. It happened a while back. Shortly before the Order relocated to Yavin IV."
He nods his head and gently hugs her. "Yes, you'll see me there when I arrive. And yes, Claire will be there too. I'm going to need her help."
Nick nods his head. "Thank you Ambassador. Safe journey there and May the Force be with you both." He watches as they both start to walk out but is caught off guard when Amelia runs up to him, throws her arms around his neck and kisses his cheek. He smiles softly at her and hugs her again. "You be careful dear one. I'll see you there."
Nick watches as they both leave the conference chamber and he sighs quietly. He then shakes his head regaining his focus and quietly heads out of the chamber to see about getting the labs set up to develop the vaccine.

Approximately two hours later....
Ambassador Corvinus and Amelia both walk out onto the landing platform of the Bakuran Embassy. They head over to the Ambassador's ship and board it. Amelia pauses slightly and looks back towards the building that Nick is currently in and sighs quietly. She takes a deep breath and nods her head. She turns and heads into the ship and then takes a seat. The ship's ramp closes and then the ship rises up into the air and heads for the Orbit of Coruscant.
Meanwhile in the building where Nick is at and several hours later....
Nick quietly makes his way into the labs where the vaccine is being processed. After having been taken to the apartment of the first victim and seen and taken everything he needed, he then went to the scene of the next victim. After gathering all the things he needed, he finally got the labs set up. He walks over to the computer and motioning over one of the lab techs he shows them the basic formula to start the vaccine.
Once he knows that the techs got the basic gist of what he's trying to get at, he feels confidant that they'll perfect the vaccine soon. He leaves a message with the Chief of State and then catches a transport that takes him back to the landing platform he first arrived at.
He boards his ship and after closing the hatch, he fires up the engines and plots a course for Coruscant Orbit.

One, Cian Praji, penthouse suite overlooking the Galaxies Opera House.Nice and spacious, decorated with stolen...(uh, Kuat of Kuat sold it to Tyber, there are fake receipts for everything) Kuati furniture. Gift from the Zanns as a token of friendship. Makes a nice statement if any Kuati's visit which they have over the years, just recently a friend of a friends cousins brothers sisters son stayed there. Guarded day and night....

"Great then, be there momentarily once Bell lands us." he tells her. He wondered what she wanted to go over with him, hopefully luck was on his side and he scored a small victory. If not he would keep trying, this wasn't over so soon after the games start.
Some small talk later and he was asking her if she was at work, it had just accrued to him that she could have been. Busy woman and she had to be if was where she was at, with or without her family name. She was like Khari in many ways, driven, smart, not opposed to breaking some rules if it meant winning. Over the years they had made a small fortune investing in quick illegal to legal things. She was one of his trusted friends and business partners.
"I'm on the way then, we just touched down. Be there soon." he tells her already unstrapping and casting a glare at Bell who had taken his time landing.
Leaving everything in Bells care he left the hanger bay armed as he always was, especially here on Coruscant. He hailed a taxi it being the easiest and fast way to get where he wanted. The streets were to crowded, with dangers of being pick pocketed or mugged along the way. Death stick dealers, cult prozzies seeking to make money for their leaders, every form of distraction was there if you knew where to look. Some even in the publics eye which showed the true nature of corruption. He liked it, would make things so much easier for him down the road.
He apartments if you could call them that was the entire top floor of the building, a private landing pad situated outside where he was now being dropped off. Paying the driver he looks around at the lights and passing speeders not far off, then turns and walks in. There she was, blonde, beautiful and just what he needed to get his mind off the one who tore his heart out. "Your looking as delectable as always."

That settled that then, she smiled broadly as she shut off the comm, slipping silently from her chair to go and change, by the sounds of things, Tress wasn't that far away so she'd make it quick. Cian had almost added something about him finally getting Bellendy a memory wipe, but thought better of it, the droid had character and that was something woefully lacking in any of her own.
By the time that Tress arrived, she sat waiting for him, pouring herself a drink to pass the few moments it had taken him to get down from the landing platform. The apartment was something of an upgrade from the one he'd visited last, spanning a whole floor instead of half, she hadn't been in it long, but she had certainly found the time to fill it. Various pieces of art and rare decorum hung, stood or rested against the walls, some of them gifts, most of it she had purchased herself, considering herself to be something of a collector.
A moment more and the door slid open, she had left it unlocked for him, rising to walk over and greet him with a welcoming hug and a kiss on the cheek when he appeared.
Holding him at arms length, broad smile still firmly in place she knew better than to blush at that little compliment, though inwardly she sang minor triumph. He was a flirtatious one and give him an inch, he would take a mile. Not that she minded of course, but there were a few things they needed to discuss before she fell for that charm again.
"I could say the same of you." She responded smoothly, gesturing him inside, "Help yourself to a drink, the selection might not be too much, I wasn't expecting visitors. So come on, we have some serious catching up to do, what has the good senator been up to since his appointment?"
Settling back on the couch, she had set out a few datapads and chips for him to look over if he felt the inclination, Cian watched him wandering around the apartment, he looked somewhat forlorn, though she hadn't asked him why, he'd probably had a long journey, by the sounds of things, Bell had been taking over the majority of the flying, so he either had company or he just wasn't in the mood.
"I was beginning to think you had skipped the core, that was until I had an interesting discussion with your associate, Urai Fenn. He sends his regards by the way, said you had been tied up in some business on Kuat of all places." Cian mused, frowning a little at that, it was a pretty audacious move, Tress going there openly, but then that was his style, audacious to the point where only he could pull it off.
She picked up her drink again, raising the glass to her full lips and took a sip, keeping half an eye on him over the transparent rim. Then she placed it down again.
"Well actually, that isn't the entire truth, he stated you had lost your mind on Kuat." A smirk played delicately across her lips, "I had to remind him that you didn't have one to begin with." She was joking of course, being the friends they were, she allowed him such discrepancies, as he did her.
Patting the spot next to her, she called him over, eager to hear just what had been going on all this time. It was rare she got time for a catch up, so what better time to do it than now, with him.

The embrace was nice for comfort sakes, lifted his spirits, but he was still distracted. Responses came easy while he drifted around the room looking at new and old pieces. Some as old as he could remember them, others newer collections of art.
He noticed she had seated herself as he made his way to the bar to pour a drink. Her selection might not have been much as she said, but it had all the best brands. Pouring himself a nice smoky hued Corellian whiskey of the Whyrens Reserve brand he leaned himself against the bar. He should have asked her if she wanted something to drink, but he was obvious lost right now. "I have been occupied as of late, got side tracked while doing some Consortium business on Obrao Skai." it was partially true at any rate. Why say more than he should, even if he wasn't ready to talk about it.
He did look up at Urai's name, smiled and shock his head. "I haven't spoken to him in weeks, must be busy setting up Consortium interests to bother with the boss man." Last he had heard of him, he was on Toryaz Station located on Ronay one of Kuats moons. He was thinking of setting up shop there, as a staging point to better supply the Core, but knowing him he had already moved on deeper into he Core regions for a profitable niche they could fill.
He went to join her and even offered her a drink from his own glass as he sat next to her. A sigh escaped him and he wondered if he hadn't lost his mind after all. He did chuckle after he thought about it, her joke at him. Reminded him of good times. "You know what they say about Zann's..." was the line he always used to forgive anything he did or was said about him.
"Khari Vestra..." that was all he had to say and she would understand, both the implications and the reason why he was like he was now. Reaching down he grabbed a datapad and browsed the contents. Studied the figures and last quarters profit margin. "This looks promising. So lets get business out of the way first...shall we?"

Cian smiled warmly, yes she did and yes she knew what that meant too. What had he done this time? The last time he'd said that she seemed to recall a small upset on a little known world in the outer rim, but that hadn't been closer to home, Obroa Skai was certainly that. Yet she couldn't recall having heard anything odd happening there, not that it might have been news worthy mind, not this deep into the core.
"Alright," She said after another moment's pause, the suspense was killing her, "What did you do, and how much is it going to cost to rectify?" her tone wasn't that of a serious chide, though she was wondering just how many transfers and a few bribes this was going to cost his accounts. That task would undoubtedly fall to her, and while she didn't mind the work, he could have single handedly kept her in business, she knew what a headache it could be clearing up after the Zann's. They didn't tend to think about these things until after.
And then he said it...
Cian's jaw just about hit the floor of the apartment, had she just heard right? While Tress turned his attention to business, she was still sitting firmly in the earlier namedrop, attempting to work out just what he'd meant by that. In the end, she could only come to one conclusion and the words had left her before she could prevent them from doing so.
"Woah woah....back up a minute...Khari Vestra?" She said, it wasn't actually a question, more disbelief, "As in Director of Kuat Drive Yards, Kahri Vestra? Tell me you didn't..." As far as PR went, this was fatal, had anyone known about this aside from the two of them...and now herself? She wouldn't spread the word, naturally, but wow, that she hadn't expected.
"You did...didn't you?"
He was still looking at the datapad when she snatched it away from him, her eyes catching a brief glimpse of what he was looking at, exactly, that could wait a few moment.
"Oh no, you don't get out of this that easily, do tell, and I hope you include the part where there isn't now a bounty on your head."

Joke or not it made him smile. "I can get out of trouble on my own sometimes, a few dirty deeds and they are either blackmailed into silence, see my way of thinking or dead" he had done that the last time her bribery didn't work. "I did fix the last one if you recall, but i hate doing that, his poor family sold off in slavery." shakes his head in shame. "that's your fault by the way" he joked back feeling a little bit more himself.
He went on with what he was doing by that time, which was very interesting to him. She had really done her research, down to the last detail he wanted. That was on whether or not they would be interested in selling controlling interest in the company or merge with his new Azure Imperium Shipwrights and become a subsidiary. He was going to be extremely predatory in consuming smaller manufacturing companies. Either way he had plans to buy them all out and had a list of them to give to Cian, most were already on the list of her research.
Resigned over her wanting to know and with her pulling the datapad from him, he nodded. "The one and the same, Khari Vestra." he says.
"Yes, we were together. Was made liaison there by the RGE, but we had a small falling out....." he thinks on it. "Well, I sort of backstabbered her and she wasn't to happy. So going to ruin her company and her house now just for the last word."
"Is that petty of me?" he smirks

She looked at him mock hurt, clutching a hand to her chest over where her heart would be located.
"Is it my fault if they can resist my charms or the lure of a few well placed credits?" Shaking her head she chuckled again and dropped the innocent act as quickly as she had picked it up, her ethics were interesting to say the least, it hadn't occurred to her to feel sympathy for the man nor his family, business was business and if he was too foolish enough to have seen what was coming, even after her bribe, well who was the biggest fool?
Once she was over her conspiratorial laughter, she took another sip of her drink, just watching him go through the motions, there was something else, she knew, but he was holding that much back. Better not to push the issue, but she found herself sighing at her own sense of nostalgia, "It's really good to see you again, Tress. I haven't had much time to consider downtime since you last left, things have been lacking that, what would you call it....fun, element." Patting him on the knee reassuringly, she settled back to finally hear this little tale of his...this would be good, Kuat's upper crust had been in some turmoil recently as the untimely death of the last director had left the dynasty without an heir, the inherritance excemption abolished, the election of the new director had been shrouded in the usual mystery, but when that mystery extended to the ten themselves, well...that WAS interesting.
She didn't know if she should be surprised or not, that he had didn't exactly astound her on the outset, the fact that a Kuati had simply fallen for it was something else. He, himself was easy to fall for, she knew that from experience, there was a lot to love about him, but he was a Zann...had she known? Maybe she hadn't, at least not initially, not until he'd gotten his foot in the door, now that...that was sound planning. Very him, very Zann. Or was it? Because the way he'd said that first part didn't make it sound like it was part of the plan at all.
"A Zann as liason to Kuat, you have to wonder if the RGE saw the irony in that, don't you? How is the Eclipse looking by the way? Not feel like adding it to the collection of all things your Grandfather chose not to keep out of necessity?" Cian asked, genuinely curious, the potential to disgrace Kuat, if he had been as close as he said, was ginormous, why he hadn't taken that opportunity was up to him of course, he might well have something in the works, at least that was how it sounded.
"A small falling out? You poor thing," As yet she didn't let on why she'd said that, but he would know what she meant - to engage anyone that far up the food chain anywhere was to goad trouble of a magnitude where it would take an entire consortium to stave off the perils that would come your way...and if all of Kuat's weapons were pointed at her, she'd certainly want that extra layer of protection. "Ruination is a big word when it comes to people like that, but I won't preach. I take it this sudden rush to buy up as much shipbuilding stock as you possibly can is something to do with ruining Vestra?"
She had to hand it to him, he had guts, and style - of all the people who might be able to pull this off, it was him, but he'd have to work fast.
"You might want to take a look at the current agenda for the current owners of CEC? KDY have been in touch within the past few hours, actually, for what, well those details are beyond my reach, possibly yours. You can bet your life it has something to do with the current problems going on there though, seems like someone has the right idea." And the same one he had by all accounts.
As for the rest, she could only roll her eyes mock-sarcastically. She didn't mean it, and while it might be petty, yes, he was an adult, he knew fine well what he was doing and he also knew how to clean up his own messes. But if he was asking her opinion, all he need do was ask a little further.
"You? Petty? Never let it be said that the Zann's didn't know how to hold a grudge." Cian said with a wry look in his direction, this time, she reached for his knee again, giving it a light squeeze, perhaps the action was reassurance, perhaps not, she left that for him to decide. "And you mean you spent all that time with her and didn't glean anything that you could use to ruin her? You obviously don't listen to the news. You're slipping, Tress..." as was her hand, a little higher, "pay attention now"
Withdrawing it, she picked up the datapad again and slid it under his nose, "Like I said, you will want to move fast, but don't worry, I put in bids in all the right places, I just need your say so for a maximum price to go to in case your friend Vestra gets in there with a considerably higher offer."

He genuinely smiled at that one, he had missed her, too. "I got something on the works that can bring that fun element back into your life, and turn us a tidy profit in the end." he shrugs acting innocent. "But don't take my word for it....I will tell you all in time, just bare with me, OK?"
It was part of what he had her doing anyway, but she didn't have the full picture. No, this was twice as big as she thought it was, and in the end if they pulled it off...the profits would be the most magnificent thing she'd ever lay her eyes on.
Her next question caught him off guard.
"The Eclipse?" he says getting this unfocused look in his eye as he remembered what happened in the Admirals quarters. Tyber had left something, something secret and so priceless in the wrong hands it would have devastated Kuat and KDY. Together with Khari he had followed clues to rooting it out and found it, he left it in her possession. "Its been rebuilt and looks lethal" he chuckles at her. "Adding it to my collection is just what i want, and will do in time." he had plans for that SSD.
"In that you would be right, Cian." he leans back and gets comfortable. "She will figure it out, since i gave her warning, but as far as the rest of the galaxy know i have nothing to do with things." Everything was under wraps, transfer of ownership was conducted via the Bank of the Core. From there straight to the Azure Imperium Shipwrights list of subsidiaries. The AIS Board of Directors, then set up how the resources would be handled and distributed. Employees fired or hired to maximize profit return. Every product was put through series of quality control tests to set the standard in their own brand of excellence. Soon they would go into bidding wars to take contracts from the competition.
He had been paying attention to the placement of her hand, then to that message someone had sent to Khari. He was still building, growing his industrial power base. "I heard of it." he skirted the issue and went on with a plan forming in his head. "I don't have enough clout, yet, but I am sure we can draw focus on this. Keep everyone looking where the action is while underhanded things get down beyond their sight. Express an interest in this." he reaches for his drink and takes a taste. "I will go personally if i have to, to start a bidding war with KDY. I want you to keep purchasing or making headway into Rendili StarDrive. I want complete control, and while your at it...." he reached for the datapad he had been reading eariler about Hoersch-Kessesl Drive, inc. " I want this, too. Look at its production and profit margins for the last couple of years. Its ripe for for new owners, speak to the stockholders. Get them to agree sell at 22 credits over the asking price. That should do it, if they want more don't go to high, but make sure its all or nothing at a higher price price."
He was looking at her, then just told her his whole plan from why he made started it. To what his goal was, it meant huge profits for them all if they helped now. Her family as the holder of the majority of the Bank of the Cores stock would reap the benefits most of all. He had to get her on his side on this one. "I need you and your family on this one, Cian. This could really be the one we were looking for." he would have to wait, she would have to talk to her family, but he had high hopes if they could see the big picture he was trying to set up.

Cians eyes narrowed suspiciously, he was cooking something up he'd all but said it until this point, this was just confirmation. Very well, he'd never disappointed before, she'd take his word for it. The turnover of the last scheme he'd put into action had paid for most of this apartment, what reasons did she have to doubt him?
"Bearing with you...but please, go on."
"Oh, but something that size is a little hard to hide is it not? It's one of the soul vessels available for the evacuation of that orbital array of theirs. I heard they had used it for that in the past. It could just be my greed talking, but why stop there?" She said, conspiratorially taking a casual glance around the room, as if the idea had come straight from his thoughts rather than her own. That wasn't the case so far as she knew it, but there was no harm in putting that idea out there.
"Forgive me, I'm rambling, and honestly? Very surprised that you actually pulled that off. Of all the people to be wary of you, I would have said that anything left of the old Imperial remnant, or the people of Kuat would have to be high on that list. So what ended it all, no no, let me guess, she wanted to keep you as a pet?" For all her sarcasm in that regard, she was actually well versed in the culture on Kuat. Her family had been closely linked with the Kuat family themselves, since just after the clone wars. While it was a particularly tenuous association, one that had direct links to Palpatine at the time, her grandparents had forged a few alliances that had seen them free passage to the world it's self on a number of occasions, she had been there, been astounded, and much preferred it where she was.
The best was yet to come.
All that and he had gone on to tell her the rest of his plans, and suddenly everything made perfect sense. Almost.
With an air of caution, she eyed him curiously, knowing that his mind was obviously still playing over the facts as he told them there, not just the business side of it all, which wasn't ill thought out at all, but the emotional factors too. He was taking this hard for someone in his position.
"Better that everyone's attention is on something else while we put in those offers elsewhere. Pull the rug out from under their feet, and the current owners are more likely to sell to us if the interest is focussed elsewhere too. We may not only be the best offer, but the only offer they have been able to garner. Unless of course, your friend Vestra get's there first. " Of course, if she knew what Cian assumed she knew, then this could solve a multitude of issues for them. Competition was healthy, but healthier for the consortium that they acquire what they could now, first. Then they could turn their attention to the big corporations out there.
"KDY has an awful lot of subsidaries, their feet are wedged firmly in a lot of doors. We need an edge, legitimate or otherwise. Hoersch-Kessesl Drive, inc. is as good as any place to begin, I'll put that through for you as soon as I am able."
A smile lit up her face, though it was slightly rueful, and she picked up her glass again to down the rest of her drink before letting her gaze resettle on him.
"Let me handle them, you just keep your head above water. Have I ever let you down?"

He had no intention of stopping there, but he had to do this first. "A big target on my back, Tyber once said." he told her from what he was told about not keeping that ship. "Is why he didn't keep it, but your right why stop there. I do have plans in the works, these things we are doing is setting up the ground work for that."
Well it was a good start to it anyway, there would be more work involved but in the end he hoped it would be successful for all working with him. The Zann Consortium would be its enforcers, at least from the shadows. Another group would have to be named and set as a private army of when things got further along.
"Well, i did win the election...for them not to accept me would be an injustice. Senators would have jumped at the chance to rally behind one of their own. It would have sent the senate into turmoil" they were shrewed enough to know that, while the majority of the power laid with the Emperor and the regent, alienating the Senate over a little matter wouldn't do them any good. "Kuat was ok with it cause Khari had been ok with the appointment. In the end i don't know if it was so much as pet, as us falling in love with each other. At least i like to think that."
"Yes, I cant actually out bid them right now or maybe ever, but if i can bluff them into thinking i can...that would buy us sometime to get what needs to be done over with." he tells her. She was right smoke screens would help all involved. Focus on what he was doing would be important, allowing others working on his interests to sneak in and grab other companies before anyone is the wiser. "Its what i was thinking. Any edge would help, but I need Rendili StarDrive....going to have Urai set up major works there with the Consortium. Corruption, bribery, all the old games the Zann's used to play.
When he told her the truth, the entire plan without leaving anything out. He waited for her reaction, waited to see her understand the scope of his plans.
"Never have, is why we work so well together." he punched her arm slightly. "I trust you implicitly, and always have." he was getting to emotional so got up and looked around. "So what now, you still got some business you want to discuss or we going out and having a good time....my treat of course."

The senate had fallen into turmoil over less, she thought idly, in times past at least, now people liked to think was a more civilized time, though she considered that something of an idealistic hope. There was little change, merely evolution of the same states of society. His confession though...now that was unexpected. He'd said he'd had some sort of relationship with Vestra, but she had assumed the same sorts of flings he'd had on and off throughout his life, even something just to get him somewhere advantageous, but there he went using the L word.
"Think, or know?" Leaving it at that, she let him move the conversation on and explain everything in detail.
When he was done, a great many things had suddenly become apparent, and she knew without a doubt that he'd been telling the truth earlier. This was bigger than she could have ever imagined...audacious, even for him. And perhaps that was why she got that icy thrill at the sound of it all, rushing up her spine to remind her exactly why she did business with him to begin with. Brilliant, this was so ridiculously obvious it couldn't go wrong.
"Just when I think you couldn't surprise me anymore...this. You're mad, you know that?"
"Covertely of course, I assume?" She asked curiously, it wouldn't do his political image any good in the wake of Ire's 'good' galactic empire. And if anyone believed that an empire was good news, well, more fool them, Cian thought amused.
"Rendili it is, send my regards to the old bird, I'm still holding him true to that wager of ours, just in case he forgot." She winked at Tress, not knowing if he knew about it or not, it wasn't important, just that he pass the message on as a friendly greeting more than anything.
The woman's eyes brightened a little, the jut of her chin slightly more pronounced as she nodded thoughtfully. "Why didn't you say so? I would have ordered something much better than that lack lustre whyren's you're drinking and had it delivered here." The punch in her arm was returned in full, letting him know that they were both joking here and it remained between friends. She was more relieved than anything that he hadn't gotten himself into too much trouble, though she wondered how far Vestra would go to settle the score as it were. "But since you asked, I have been dying to let off some steam, the entertainment district round here never sleeps, unless you've become easily tired in your old age?" Another wink, this time slightly more rueful, neither of them were getting any younger, but they weren't old either...and that shock of bright white hair streaked back from his forehead often gave him a distinguished but older appearence. Not that she minded of course, she was rather fond of it.
"Or, you could finally show me round this ship you keep telling me all about and we could jet to the other side of the planet...then, well the world is at our disposal isn't it?"

He didnt even have to think on that one, "I both think and know as a matter of fact." he smirked and couldnt help feel smug about it.
"This is the biggest thing the Consortium, that a Zann has ever done, if we pull this off all those in on it will be rich beyond their wildest dreams. I just have to play this right while sneaking around" he looks over at her and grins. "...or while you do the sneaking around and buy as much as we can. One major buy is all we need, the rest is just bonus in the long run." Things couldnt be going any better then they were. He might have to make some other arrangements ....one or two details one might need to set some fun in the air. Though there was time later for that.
"Covertly? I guess, but i wanted her to know it was really me. Nothing like a tussle over the bargining table to judge the true winner of the battle. " he shurgged, really he couldnt wait to try. He would lose, but would make it fun.
"Yes, Rendili. Focus on that first." he tells her and is confused on the other thing she said. "What wager? " Urai making a wager? This had to be something of import, other wise he wouldnt have done it.
"I didnt realized how hungry i was until i saw you." he joked along with her.
"And its ok, we had to talk about things first. There was no rush." but now that the business was sorted out, it was time to do other things. He needed some fun as she had said she was lacking in that department.
He took affront to that old age crack. "I will have you know i am just as energetic as i ever was." he says pumping his own ego. "I can still hang and show you a thing or two...." Standing he offers her his hand. "Shall we go out then? Or do you need to change into something more confortable?"

SECURE INCOMING MESSAGE FROM PLANET ROON TO SECURITY OFFICE -------
Image of Admiral Thorne appears as he stands in his duty uniform. He presents arms, bring his right hand up to the rim of his hat. Then he begins to speak.
"Sorry to bother you at a time like this. I am Admiral Thorne of Planet Roon. I am calling on the behalf of the President of Planet Roon. I am asking on his behalf to arrange a meeting between our two worlds. We are seeking to join the GA in effort to bring in more resources that will benefit both our worlds."
Admiral Thorne then pause as he waits on a reply.

"Ahh I wondered how long it would take you to latch onto that. Never you mind, just a small wager he and I had on a certain subject. I will tell you when I win it." She teased, evidently delighting in the fact he was so curious about it. It wasn't about anything serious, but it would be amusing when she divulged it eventually. "And I will win it."
He wouldn't get anymore out of her than that, though. She was adamant on that point.
"Besides, even your lackeys need some time to themselves, and we do talk amongst ourselves. Not that I am one of your lackeys, but you get the idea." It was all in jest, trying to make him feel a tad embarrassed for actually asking...it wasn't going to be anywhere near as embarrassing as when he found out what they had been betting on. But now she was half tempted to make a new one, on just how long it took the Zann consortium to buy out just about every minor shipbuilding contractor in the galaxy, Rendili would do for now, so she didn't get ahead of herself.
That raised an eyebrow, turning her blue eyed gaze his way again wryly. All charm and kind words as ever, it wasn't difficult to like nor be attracted to him, some family traits died hard, and this was one of the good ones. Still, he wasn't exactly on the shelf anymore. Did that really deter her?
"Is that so?" Cian commented all low of tone, leaning in a little closer, placing her hand right where it had been close to his knee moments before, "Careful, I think I heard your Kuati mistress' whip crack from here." Giving him a playful squeeze, she then drew back as if nothing at all had happened there and continued on with the conversation. And why shouldn't she? That was completely innocent.
Laughter, all relaxation and jovial tone, eminated from her side of the couch, "Oh I don't doubt it for a second, but we'll see won't we?" With a flash of her pearly whites she accepted his hand and stood, brushing out the creased in the fabric of the clothes that she had 'thrown' on in a small bid to look somewhat appealing when he'd turned up. Of course she hadn't been counting on that news, but that was that. "Anymore comfortable, Tress, and I would be naked...they frown upon that here by the way. So...your shout, pick somewhere good."
Tugging gently on his arm, she pulled him towards the exit, taking a moment to pick up a few personal effects before rejoining him outside the apartment - finally a chance to let her hair down, and not a moment too soon.

"Well it was out of the blue and snagged my attention. What are you talking about? On what subject and why bet on it?" he was fishing for answers, but she seemed reluctant to say anymroe of it. Even seemed to take unabashed pleasure cause he was so keen to find out what she was talking about. "You'll win, huh?" he looked at her seceptually. "What makes you so sure?"
"Its not nice to refer to yourself as a lackey, love. Your not one of mine thats for sure. More like what Urai is to me, a loyal confinant, a trusted friend, a .....well you get the picture." she was an old flame, one he had if hes not mistaken shared a couple of months together with before moving on to win an election.
"Laugh it up, that was not even funny." he tells her, he wouldnt follow that line of thinking, but he did smile at the thought. "This is going to be fun on a huge scale. I cant wait to see the look on her face when she sees who is trying to out bid her."
"Besides everyone knows I am the master in all i do,...." the glare was to silence her from speaking out.
But, she was ready to go it seemed, which was fine with him. He was going to have a good time out tonight. Start a few fights, cause a few thousand credits worth of damages and get his frustrations out.
"Let us go then, your buying the first round...." he makes sure he has all he needs and pulls her out to the private landing pad. "where to first?" he asks waving down a taxi. Helping her in first he soon follows and sits right beside her. "Driver some privacy please....and dont worry about the noises." he was already going to have a good time, messing around with the driver it seemed.
