Nar Shaddaa Orbit

[Emo the Hutt]

Nar Shaddaa was the largest moon of Nal Hutta. More commonly known as the Vertical City, the Smuggler's Moon and Little Coruscant, Nar Shaddaa was similar to Coruscant in that its surface was entirely overgrown with city sprawl for millennia. But unlike Coruscant—which was only relatively rundown and dangerous on the lower and under levels of the world city—Nar Shaddaa was filthy, polluted, and infested with crime everywhere.

Hutt Space was a region of the galaxy on the border between the Mid Rim and the Outer Rim Territories, near the entrance to Wild Space. It encompassed the Si'Klaata Cluster, and bordered on the Tion Hegemony. Hutt Space was named for the Hutt species, who dominated the region. Differing accounts attributed different numbers of planets in Hutt Space, but reasonable estimates range from a few hundred to a thousand inhabited worlds. The far end of Hutt Space tapered into The Maw.

The Hutt Grand Council, also known as the Council of Elders and the Clan of the Ancients ruled the Hutt Empire and afterwards all of Hutt Space. They governed all clans fairly, giving favor to none, and Hutts all over the galaxy abided by their decrees. The decision making process was generally unknown, but it seemed that the most powerful of the kajidics (the Hutt criminal syndicates) held the most authority; thus, the head of the most powerful kajidic was the de facto leader of the Hutt race.

[Claire Cousland]

The Serenity containing Jedi Knight Claire Cousland exits lightspeed and cautiously approaches the Nar Shadda system. Putting the ship in standby mode, Claire stops in the outer system. "Well, I'm here. Now I've just got to wait on Nick and the others." She stands up and walks out of the cockpit and into the kitchen to make something to eat.

Claire wakes up and gets quietly dressed. She looks at her chronometer and sees that she's been there for a couple of days already. "Well, they should be getting here soon." She mutters quietly to herself. She makes her way out of her quarters and heads to the cockpit and sits down in the pilot's chair to wait for her friends to arrive.

The Interceptor exits lightspeed and comes to a stop in the outer part of the Orbit of Nar Shadda. Nick quietly walks around the bridge waiting for everything to get ready for the transfer. He looks over at Cait. "Okay, so we need to decide who all is going to Yavin and who's all going to Bakura. Claire's out there waiting on us." He sighs eager to be getting home.

Agreed, yes we do. She looks around at the others. Well Colin, you and I are definintely going to Bakura we have business to take care of there. Everyone else should probably go back to Yavin.

She waits to see what the others say.

Nick nods his head. "Sounds like a plan there Cait." He walks back over to the port side window and manages to see Claire's ship silently approaching the cruiser.

Grinning slightly, he walks over to the communications console and opens a channel to her. "Claire, sorry it took so long to get here, but we're ready to begin whenever you get in position."

Over the comm, her voice is heard. "Yeah, I'd say it was about time there Nick. I've been here for at least two to three days already waiting on you guys to get here." Her voice sounds slightly irritated. "I got a call from Father. He says we need to get there as soon as possible."

Nick sighs and nods his head looking over at Cait. "All right. We'll get ready here. Go ahead and get your ship into position."

He then turns off the channel and walks back over to the others.

Cait gets up and she grins when she hears what Claire says. When Nick walks over to join them she says in a teasing voice to Nick.

I told you she would be upset to be left out of this. Just wait until she hears what you have been up to without her.

Then she says more seriously. I need to go get my things I will meet you and Colin at the airlock in 15 minutes. The Commander will be in charge of this ship when you leave and getting it back safely to Yavin and coming up with any cover story about its capture.

To the Commander. Keep that simple and close to the truth as possible. It will be easier to remember and you will be less likely to trip up on the details that way.

She then walks off the bridge to her quarters to get her things. It doesn't take her long since she never unpacked. Phedra has followed at her heels and Cait nearly trips over her several times before she shoos Phedra out of the room to go wait for her at the airlock. When she is ready Cait walks to the airlock to wait for Nick and the others to join her.

Colin is already packed and waiting for Cait when she gets there.
What took you so long? I've been here for ages and starting to go grey waiting for you. He says teasing her.

Cait just sticks her tongue out at her brother which makes him laugh.

[Kevin Kenobi]

*Kevin listens as Nick and Cait start discussing what's to happen from here. When Nick suggests that Cait, Colin, and Nick should continue on to Bakura and everyone else should head to Yavin, he nods in agreement.*

Sounds like a plan, Master. The downtime would definitely help so I can figure out where I want to go from here.

[nickcousland]

The Commander nods his head. "Understood ma'am. As soon as you and Master Cousland depart, we'll head back to Yavin and drop off the passengers. Be careful and May the Force be with you both." He then turns and begins to issue orders to his bridge crew.

Nick raises an eyebrow and looks at Cait and then sighs. "Yeah, you're right. I'm probably gonna get an earful from her when we get onboard her ship." He grins and watches as Cait and Colin walk off the bridge.

He looks at Kevin. "That's good to hear Kevin. When we get back to Yavin eventually, Cait and I will see about getting you instated as a Jedi. Take care my friend."

With that, he quietly leaves the bridge and makes his way to his quarters. He walks in and quickly packs his belongings into a large duffel bag and then makes his way to the airlock. When he reaches the airlock, he receives word that Claire has completed the docking process. They were clear to transfer over.

He looks at Cait, Colin and Phedra. "Well, we're clear to go. Next stop, Bakura...and the Oathbreakers." He opens the airlock door and steps through and waits on them to come through as well before he seals the door shut.

[Takeda]

Cait's com-link beeps indicating a new message from Takeda.

"Caitlin,
Things have concluded on Carratos and I am making a brief layover stop to Brentaal before I head out to take care of a few other matters, I will likely be in limited contact for the next few weeks. I have an opportunity to go to Dathomir and if Ire is good to his word, I will have excellent access to the entire planet. Dathomir is not far from Yavin, so it is possible that I may meet up with you then. I will keep you posted when I can upon my progress."

[Caitlin Windancer]

Cait to the Commander before she leaves the bridge. Very good, Commander. We will and thank you. May the Force be will you all too. She gives a warm smile to all the crew.

To Nick. Yep, you better think of good excuse to give her and then either duck or run. She says with a grin.

She then leaves the bridge.


As they leave the ship.

Good about time. I can't wait to get my feet on the ground again. She then follows Nick into the airlock with Colin and Phedra behind her.

As they walk from the airlock into Claire's ship Cait gets the message from Takeda. She reads it and gives a slight sigh. Well at least he is safe. I hope he finds what is looking for on Dathomir. Hmmm... interesting. I wonder what Ire promised him. I hope he didn't get himself into situation that he will regret.

She sends Takeda a reply.

Takeda,
Glad to hear you are safe and away from Carratos. Give my regrards to Ayu'lesh and Gin.

Do you know what happened to the ship that the Grand Vizier captured because its owner wants it back?

I hope you find what you are looking for on Dathomir. I hope for your sake that Ire keeps his word to you. I wouldn't trust him to far if I were you. He never does something for nothing.

Take care of yourself and let me know if you run into trouble. We will be on Bakura for a while then if nothing else happens will return to Yavin. I hope to see you and the others soon.

Nick waits until Cait, Colin and Phedra are inside the airlock and then he closes the door coming from the Interceptor. He pushes a button and the airlock cycles through and once that's complete, he opens the door hatch leading into Claire's ship. He steps on through and looks at Cait and nods his head.

"I can imagine. You've been out in space for how long now?" He says with a slight grin. After they all pass through the airlock and into Claire's ship, he closes the door. He turns on his commlink.

"Interceptor, this is Nick Cousland. We're aboard the ship, you guys are clear to depart as planned. Over and out."

Nick then turns off his commlink and looks at Cait. "Takeda's going to Dathomir? I hope he stays safe there, especially with all them Nightsisters." He raises an eyebrow. "Ire promised him something? There's got to be a catch for that. Hope it works out okay."

He passes through the ship looking for Claire. "Claire! We're onboard. Let's get going to Bakura finally." He says with a grin.

[Claire Cousland]

Claire comes around the corner towards the hatch and all but collides into Nick. "I heard you guys coming. No need to shout Brother. Did you have fun on your little excursion?" She asks, her voice dripping with annoyance. "You could have taken me with you then I wouldn't have had to wait here in this slimeball of a pit for the past three days waiting on you guys to get here."

She looks over at Cait and Colin and grins, nodding her head. "Nice to see you back safe and sound Cousin. Shall we get underway to Bakura?"

She looks back at Nick and lightly punches him in the arm. "Also, I've recieved word. That special project you had being built there is nearly completed. It should be about done by the time we get there. Can't wait to see what you've been having built."

In Space? Too long. Though it was kind of fun traveling with Takeda incognita. I learned a lot of things and seen some things you don't see on the normal tours. Cait says as they wait for the airlock to finish so they can board Claire's ship. Made some new friends and met some old ones. In all an interesting trip but I will be glad to get back home and to the normal craziness of Yavin. She chuckles. Aine will be happy to see me back.

Colin perks up at the mention of Aine's name. Yeah, she sure will.

Cait gives another chuckle. Poor Aine, I bet.

Cait to Nick.

Yes, He is going to Dathomir. I think it has to do with his ancestors. He is trying to find out more about the history of his people. Where they came from and where his ancestor's homeworld is. He hasn't had much luck yet. But I have a feeling if he goes to Dathomir he just might find some answers he is looking for. She frowns at the mention of the Nightsisters. Oh, them. Yeah I hope so. If he can contend with Yuuzhan Vong zombies, a Yuuzhan Vong Traditionalist, Imperial officers and a Sith lord and come out on top I would be more concerned on what he would do to the Nightsisters then the other way around. He is a trained warrior and has a strong connection to the Force that he is just discovering he should be okay. I hope.

Huh? Takeda promised Ire something? Not that I know of Nick. Takeda said that Ire promised him something. I agree Ire never does something for nothing. Whatever it was Ire thinks it will benefit him in some way but what that is I haven't a clue.Takeda didn't give me any details of what happened other than he was free to go. She says as Nick opens the airlock to enter Claire's ship.

Cait , Colin and Phedra follow him out of the airlock into the ship proper.


Cait and Colin exchange grins at the interactions between Nick and Claire as they greet each other.

Cait to Nick when Claire expresses her displeasure at being left behind. Told you so.


Hi Claire. Cait and Colin say at the same time. They exchange grins at doing that and then Cait says. Thank you I'm glad I am too. Yes, please I would like to get to Bakura as soon as possible, Cos. We have some things we need to take care of I would have Bakura protected.

Cait To Nick. Special project? What are you up to now Nick? Cait says as she walks along the corridor.

Cait To Claire

Is there somewhere I can put this stuff?

Colin says to Nick

You are having something built? Knowing you Cos it must be something special.

Nick nods his head as they make their way towards the front of the ship. "Wow, sounds like you had quite the adventure there Cait. Heh, must run in the blood." He then raises an eyebrow at the mention of Aine and Colin's reaction and then chuckles. "I can imagine Colin. I bet Aine's wondering what the heck we're doing."

He then raises an eyebrow at Cait. "So he's heading to Dathomir then? That's good of him to try and learn more about his people. Gets him closer to discovering his true potential too." He then grins. "Oh yeah huh. I forgot about the Vong Zombies. That must've been a nightmare."

He shrugs his shoulders. "Well, hopefully everything works out okay for him. Knowing Ire, he's got something up his sleeves."

Once they arrived in the main chamber of the ship, he looks at Claire and raises an eyebrow. "Well excuse me there Claire. If you must know, I did have fun. Colin and I both did. Also, I got a little souvenir from the rescue." He says and holds up the lightwhip he took from Ywalme.

Claire grins slightly. "Wow, nice prize Nick. I'd hate to be around her right now. I bet she's hopping mad that her whip is gone." She looks at Cait and nods her head. "No problem Cait. Course is already locked in. All we gotta do is just activate the hyperdrive and we're on our way home."

When Cait mentions a place to put her things, Claire points towards the guest rooms. "I've already had a few rooms set aside for you all. Just pick one and you can leave it there."

Nick then grins upon hearing his project was nearing completion. "That's good to hear. Thanks for telling me about it Claire." He looks over at Colin and Cait. "Oh, just a little something I was designing and building that could help us stop the Oathbreakers. I'll show it to you guys when we get to Bakura."

I did. It was fun. She chuckles. That is one explanation. Blame it on our ancestors.

Colin to Nick.

Yeah, I'm sure she is if she hasn't gone crazy first from Cait's paperwork.

Cait to Nick

Yes, he is. Yes, I have a feeling it will be important not only for him but us as well. But time will tell. She gives a shudder at the mention of the zombies. I hope I never see anything like that again. It was like something out of a nightmare, Nick.

Yeah. I hope Takeda doesn't get in over his head. I would count all my body parts after dealing with Ire something vital might be missing if I were him. She shakes her head. I probably shouldn't worry about him but I do. He is an adult and Takeda is an intelligent being and much doesn't get pass him but he hasn't dealt with a Sith of Ire's caliber before. I don't know if he knows how devious Siths can be. I feel sort of responsible for him since I started to teach him about the Force.

I can't wait to see it is then.

Claire nods her head. "Understood Cousin." She turns and walks back down the passageway towards the cockpit and sits down in the pilot's chair. She begins to start the sequence to enter lightspeed.

Nick looks over at Colin before he goes into the room and nods his head. "Don't worry Colin. I was planning on showing you the plans anyways." He chuckles and then heads up into the bridge to sit down beside Claire.

He can be very trusting I just hope he doesn't trust the wrong people. He is such an honorable being I'm not sure he is always aware that not everyone he meets is not as honorable as he is.

Nick nods his head listening to her. "I understand that Cait. But I'm sure Takeda will be okay. From what I've heard about him, he's a good fighter."

He grins seeing both Cait and Colin's reaction. "All in good time my dear cousins. I'll unveil the Normandy when we get there."

When they both go to their respective rooms, Nick takes a seat in the cockpit in the seat next to Claire. "Alright sister, takes us out. Next stop, Bakura."

Claire grins slightly and nods her head. "Its about time Nick. Father keeps calling me wondering where we're at." She pulls the hyperdrive lever. "Here we go."

The Serenity containing Nick, Claire, Cait, Colin and Phedra all make the jump into lightspeed, enroute to Bakura.
