"We didn't learn how to dodge friendly fire." Ben retorted. "Anyways, now what?"

*Ithilwen shakes her head and pulls out a datapad*
Now we go where we were supposed to go before those two bright bulbs interrupted us.
*She secures her ship, then starts walking toward the market*
Though we got some interesting info about the current situation here. It's unnerving that even a planet like Cathar is controlled by some rich low life.
*As soon as they reach the market she glances at her datapad, then looks around, her nostrils flaring*
Ok, look for a metalwork stand with a light brown furred Cathar that smells like... uh, nevermind.

*As they reach the market, and Ithilwen mentions the stench, Arya's eyebrow raises. Ithi was certainly an interesting character. Heading into the market, she takes a look around. The woman had never been to Cathar before, so it was certainly an experience. She and Ben, and certainly Ithilwen were definitely the minority here. Shaking her head, she heads into the market.*
Oh goodness... why do I get the feeling our nose will know...
*She mutters as she weaves through the various sentients of this cat-tastic planet*

At one of the vendors of the market stalls, a middle-aged human is haggling over the price of foodstuffs, while it is a scene that repeats itself endlessly, it is notable in that from the same area, those able to sense it will detect the force flows for a moment.
The man is wearing a kind of poncho over fairly typical spacer gear from what can be seen. And those with a history with the Jedi may recognize the individual.

*Ithilwen is about to walk past that same stall when she Senses the change in the Force; slowing down she glances at the man while pretending to check the food lined up on the stall and almost bursts out laughing.. two former Jedi on the last two planets where she was looking for something else entirely. Was the Force trying to tell her something? Being one never to take any sign lightly, she simply makes her presence in the Force stronger, knowing that the man would recognize her, and waits with a hint of a smile on her face.*

*Arya blinks as she feels an oddly familiar presence nearby. It wasn't one she could place her finger on... but one she knew she had came in contact with before. She was about to say something into the mind of Ithilwen, but instead chooses to keep to herself having seen the smirk planted on the wolf's face. That being a tell tell sign for her that she wasn't crazy, that this really was someone she had known in her past life. Putting her hands on her hips like she always does, she waits for the person to face her, being able to sense Ithi's expanded aura, knowing it was her less than subtle way of saying 'hello... It had been a long time since Arya was a part of the Jedi... it was a treasured part of her life... though now it had been so long that some of her memories were beginning to fade... she hoped the face would elicit the good memories, rather than the bad.*

Sang Sabla, straightens up as he continues arguing with the vendor for a moment longer, finally giving up and agreeing to the lowest price the vendor was bargained down to. As the vendor stomps off deeper into his stall, Sang turns around and regards Ithilwen and Arya. His eyes go a bit wide as he turns and looks up at the Shistavanen Jedi, before he breaks into his characteristic lopsided smirk. "Well isn't this a surprise," he looks over and sees Arya, he comes to some conclusion before looking away only to glance back at her in a double-take. "A real surprise!" It's been years since I've seen either of you two... So this where you have been hiding yourselves?

*Ithilwen snorts*
Actually we just met again right before coming here to Cathar.. you can go years without seeing a known face then bump into one at each planet you visit; the Galaxy has an interesting way to get from huge to small from a moment to another. But enough of that... I haven't been hiding, I've been roaming around the Outer rims; I was fed up with politics and wanted to just deal with simple people and their needs, so I went where they don't even know what a Senate is. What about you, what brings you here? And where have you been hiding yourself?
*Returns the smirk and glances at Arya, imagining her answer*

*Arya catches Ithil's smirk and nearly bursts our laughing. She hadn't officially filled her in, but she knew the woman wasn't a dumbass. Shaking her head, Arya finally takes her turn to speak to the man.*
I won't lie... I was hiding... I couldn't deal with the bureaucratic BS that I could see running rampant... Nothing was being done, more lives were being lost than saved... so... I left... and went to find my own way... to help those in need in the way that I saw most fit... same goal a different means I guess you could say...
*She shrugs, probably revealing more than the poor man had wanted to hear, she smiles and gives him the short version.*
Been working as a free lance hunter, and travelling from place to place... a Galactic Robin Hood if you will.... just... prettier...
*It was true... Arya hadn't made a dime off her work as a hunter. Every credit she made, had been donated to this cause or that cause... The ones that she felt had the most to offer the Galaxy. She knew she could live the life of luxury if she wanted, but she preferred the quiet, simple life and being a philanthropic humanitarian. She would never admit it, but her entire inspiration to learn the dark arts had stemmed from seeing herself and others persecuted and mistreated... and how the apathetic Jedi did nothing... indeed her own style of ways and means... only this time... she could pick and choose who she helped... not be forced into something she didn't believe in because some council sent her.... yes... this was the life...*

Ben looks at the new guy and notices that Ithilwen knows him. He continues looking around until it dawns on him that this guy also knew Arya. He frowns and looks the man up and down.
"Soooooo...who is this?" Ben ask raising an eyebrow.

As he listens to Ithi and Arya, his lopsided grin slowly fades and a weariness comes to his eyes.
"I guess the writing has been upon the wall for some time then. Things had not been the same in the Order since the war with the Vong. It has almost been a year, after Luke took off, I just didn't have it in me anymore to continue either."
His smile comes back, to what it was and his eyes take on a bit more of a sparkle, but even though it had been several years since they had seen him and he had aged, his features were not what they had been wen all of the were in the Order. This was the weaker smile of someone who had seen too much, lost too many friends, and had too much doubt in their life.
He looks over as Ben approaches and pipes up, raising an eyebrow in response to Ben's. "Well now, I see you two girls have found something to amuse you...
The name is Sang, and who might you be?"

"Who am I?" Ben says surprised as he blinks, "Clearly you jest. Everyone knows me. I'm Ben mother frackin' Rider."

She knows that expression well, remembers feeling that way before leaving. Shakes her head* Did the Order even improve slightly after we all left, before what you're saying happened? So Luke just up and left? And what's the current situation of the Jedi?

*Arya shakes her head. She remembered how good things had been for a while, and how quickly they seemed to collapse. Drawing a long breath, she tilts her head quizzically, her way of letting the man know that Ithilwen's question was also her own. Wordless, but easily legible.*

He shakes his head "no",
"No, After the wars the masters were always arguing, and with the strife of dealing with the GA, it got worse. After Skywalker took off, some of it settled down but by that point I had had enough and left the order as well. Some left to go back to the GA, some left to go back to Corellia, and some like me just came out here. Some hermit I make, eh?"

*Ithilwen smirks for a moment, playfully whacking his back*
You, a hermit? Right, and I'm a Sith.
*winks, then returns serious*
What's left of the Order then, and what about their role in the galaxy?

He grins like a madman, Yup, can't you see me sitting around meditating all day long?"
His smile fades some and he shakes his head, "I can't speak much of the current situation, I have been trying to stay out of it. I believe Caitlin Windancer is the acting Master of the Order, but that may have changed. I heard the Alliance had called the Jedi in on that plague outbreak, but I do not know what became of it, most of the details that was on the news were very vague. But that seems to be the normal state of affairs with the Alliance, when something big and scary comes along they want our help, but forget about being seen with us any other time."

*Arya stands thoughtful, listening to the man's words. Caitlin Windancer... Who was that? Certainly no one she had ever heard of. She remembered how the alliance had treated the JO, but sometimes... couldn't blame them.... not in the least. Shaking her head she finally speaks up.*
Hate to say it, mate... but there are times when I wouldn't want to be seen with the JO either... We've already discussed their apathy and all of our reasons for leaving... So really I can't find fault in them for not wanting to be "seen" with the Jedi any other time... I mean obviously we felt the need to branch out because of the situation... we've all mentioned our distaste for their ways and means these days... who're we to say the Alliance hasn't gotten the bitter taste of gall in their mouths from their actions as well?
*Arya sighs, glancing at Ithilwen then to the ground, and back to the group.*
I find myself sometimes wishing things could be the way they once were... but you can't go back... Onward and upward I suppose...
*Arya hated apathy... she had no problem admitting it either. As much as she wanted to see things the way they used to be with an active, healthy, JO... she really hoped she never ran into this Caitlin Windancer person... as it was highly likely she'd tell her exactly what she thought. Didn't know what good it would do her... but at least her voice would have been heard... right?*

Ben Rider glanced around as the group spoke. Ugly catwoman...ugly catman...ugly catwoman...ugly rodian she-male... He thought as he skimmed over the crowd. This planet sucks...
He glanced back over to the group as they talked about Jedi business. The crazy hermit guy seemed to be an old friend.

*Ithilwen notices Ben's face and smirks slightly, patting his shoulder*
Told you there were no hot chicks here.
*She nods at Sang's words, then snorts*
No news there.. things haven't changed apparently. Cait is in charge? Hmm, well she is a great healer but I won't express judgement since I've never seen her in a leading position.
*She tilts her head as Arya speaks, her mind going back to the past and the countless talks about it throughout her time in the Order. She stays silent for a moment, then looks at both Arya and Sang*
What if they could? What if we worked together again and helped people following the values we all believe in? Politics be damned, our focus is the people.
