He stood up at that last thing she said. Hands on hips glaring. "Me spending time on beautification? I am naturally this good looking." stepping out of the tub he pulled her close and kissed her and took his time doing it. When at last he broke the kiss he left her there grabbing a towel on his way out of the room. "For that remark you have to wear your present...up to you to do it now or later, but you will be wearing it."
Choice was up to her when.
Choice was up to her when.
She could have agreed with him, but he'd just as quickly kissed her, drawing her against him again she relinquished that verbal statement for a different one, and she had to admit, this one was far better than words. It was she who was left there, standing, breathless as he wandered off at her earlier insistence. Slowly, she glared at him as he retreated, knowing precisely why he'd chosen that moment in time to reaffirm what he'd been thinking in the tub, and it worked, she was already thinking up ways of seeking revenge.
"Does this mean you'll stop using my lip stick?" Khari called back, realizing that he'd just gone and undone all her good work at drying herself off. Enough of a distraction that she barely noticed what else he'd said to her...
"Hold on a second..." Khari was already making her way aft, "...present? You didn't say anything about any gifts."
There was that tone to his voice again, the one that sounded very cocky and self assured, like he had had this all planned out the entire time. While she knew that could certainly be the case, it almost always wasn't, he just had a damn good lucky streak. So while he took to getting ready, himself, she did likewise, trying to work out what he had up his sleeve. And then it all occurred to her again...of course.
"Tress, I trust I won't be suffering anymore occular discomfort during this meeting, because if you thought you had a difficult time in that bacta tank that time, it will pale in significance to where you'll be spending the night if this goes awry." Her words were spoken sweetly enough, but there was a decidedly serious undertone to them, an edge he couldn't fail to catch.
Slipping into something presentable, she could feel him watching her, and that was just fine, but it was what his mind was poring over in the process that had her wondering.
In the bedroom he grabbed his bag and took out what he needed and once dried he got dressed. Every once in a while he looked over at her trying to catch glimpses of her. "So you decide as to it being now or later? Cause as you said its time to go..."
It was time, and she knew how stubborn he was about things like this, he'd find some way of choosing for her and she didn't like that idea much. That was the thing with her, control was sometimes all she needed to keep a level head in things, take that away and you let chaos in - chaos, while a very good bed partner, didn't make a good business partner.
"Very well...later then. But you know how important this is, I think we sufficiently alienated the Imperial Regent enough to know springing surprises on me in the middle of meetings isn't the best idea. Hmm?"
Having sorted her attire, she had now set to work drying and rearranging her hair into some semblance of neatness. Stars she hated it when people requested things at short notice.

He poured her one and got a refill for himself before he walked slowly back to her. A silly grin on his lips knowing he was just wearing a top hat all this time. A purple felt hat of all things. "Again. I'm not a machine..." he offers her the drink he brought for her and a kiss to sweeten the deal. "But, I do find i cant get enough of you....so drink fast. I have an hour left before work, which you will spend here sleeping so when i get back we can resume things. "
Watching his jaunt back towards the bed was painting her expression too amused. How he managed to keep that hat balanced up there was anyone's guess, it was so ridiculously tall, just shy of being what someone might have expected to see on a telbun...and oh my, wasn't that ironic - she kept that thought to herself.
"Are you certain? For a while there I was almost convinced you had discovered the secret to perpetual motion. Colour me surprised." This time, she didn't hold back the almost girlish giggle at the jaunty angle his hat had since slid.
It was all but forgotten when he handed her a drink, though, and slid into bed beside her, bestowing upon her a swift kiss before letting that glass slip from his fingers completely. Elegantly she took a sip, savouring the sweetness of the beverage before placing it down on the bedside stand. The view from up here was spectacular, with open plan living space enveloped by large viewports, there was little chance anyone would see them, or Rhy's ridiculously large hat, up here. Yes, she could have gotten used to this, and yet she knew if she ever did, that would take away it's appeal.
"An hour? You shouldn't challenge me like that, I might have to make you late on purpose. Wouldn't that be a shame. And I'm sure I can amuse myself while you're gone." Yes, she'd already thought about that too, such as stirring up a certain someone when they found out where she had mysteriously vanished to for a few weeks. He didn't need to know the precise location though, she wasn't a complete fool.
"I'd even tell you all about it when you returned, but I have a feeling you're going to be otherwise engaged." Her words were a feral purr, it didn't take much to work out what she meant, and that was the point, if she'd wanted to play games with him it would have been far more cryptic, but there was nothing cryptic about the way she moved closer to him, pulling the hand which still held his drink away from his lips so that she could kiss him hotly. Thankfully, she had the insight to hold that drink steady in the process. They didn't need to be making a mess of things that way.
