Synopsis: (The basics - also known as flavor text)

A extremely contagious and lethal but short lived "Plague" Breaks out on Coruscant, it's first major and most notable victim, the Senator of Castell, At the time of his death, the Senate and Government of the GA was at a stand-still and point of crisis due to the complaints from the economic burdens of caring for the effected and restoring hundreds of worlds left devastated by the Yuuzhan Vong.

With the economic crisis boiling to a political head, The Castellian Senator was leading a faction in the Senate that might have ensured a successful plan to fix this process. With his death the Senator, the Senate immediately falls to infighting over the question of who is going to pay for the reconstruction. This threatens to collapse the GA politically as it struggles to pass the budget for the next year.

The plague itself is quite short lived, the terror of it lasting longer than the few days people become infected and fall victim to it. It ultimately mutates itself into extinction. However those that become infected suffer agonizing deaths within hours of contracting the disease. The results are not in, but initial research supports the theory that it was caused by a strain of Viral Neimoidian Space Disease Type 12 - (VNSD-12) that reacted with remnant compounds and toxins left over from the expedited process of un-vongforming Coruscant. However the Chief of State and the Triumverate do not believe it is mere chance that this has happened at this time and has turned to the Jedi for answers, as well as conducting their own investigations.

In the few days of the rampage of the disease, several thousand die, the great and the low among them. Panic and chaos ensues as many try to flee the planet, bringing its legendary traffic problem to a near standstill for a short period of time.
