So that is how they did things, he smiled. He hadnt know KDY was so underhanded, but if credits were paid on time who was to blame them. They were like any other business. Selling their products to gain a profit. What the customers did with them wasnt their fault or could anyone legally hold them responsible.
Wonder if they ever thought why Tyber didnt just pay for what he needed. Simple it wasnt what they had that he was interested in, but what those things held in them that did. That eclipse was a means to an end, it held information that led to the Emperors vaults on Coruscant. The huge ship was soon left to drift after he got what he needed.
Though he was thinking of buying ships for the Zann Consortium now, something to rebuild the fleet they once had. Make a grab for power at this swoop race. It had been an idea bouncing around his head. Maybe it was a lost cause.
"Yes, but you are someone that is once seen hard to forget." which was true, he had felt that way just seeing her across the way in that club on Obroa Skai. "It made me approach you. I saw you and had to get to know you...simple."
How to down play her presence, without actually making her note worthy? She was eye catching no matter what she was, she was born beautiful. One would go so far as to say her parents excelled in making her. Though that brought to mind her mother, which made him scowl. She was going to get it, pinch his bottom would she !? REVENGE ! Sorry went off topic there, back to your regular yumminess.
His suggestion was meant to cause a reaction, but he had to laugh when it hit him. A pillow to the face was hysterical. How can you not laugh after the first initial impact. So there he was laughing at her, with her waiting for her to get the humor in it all.
He curled up holding the pillow up to protect him, "Come on now, Khari. It was funny." he laughs some more at her.
Still laughing he rolls toward her trying to ward her off. "Find something that will suit you then, but remember it has to be something that says, 'i am take by this man' without it going against your sense of kuati pride." he laughed some more, fianlly wrapping an arm around her waist. "Oh, and i love you ...if that helps" more laughter as he buried his head at her side.

"Flattery will get you everywhere." Khari mused with a wry wink and a grin at him for that one, even if he hadn't been trying to do so deliberately, it was nice to hear. However, she wasn't so sure about the rest, if she was that unforgettable then she needed to work out why and change something for the purpose of this trip. Downplay was essential.
"If you were not taking me with you, who would you take in stead. The kinds of people you would invite that would be a tad more in keeping with the setting?" She asked, thinking that whichever it was all she needed to do was look the part - but then she caught herself mid thought and her gaze narrowed peceptively, "And don't even think about saying Slave girl, or that other pillow over there, will be joining it's friend."
But Tress was still far too caught up in his own amusement over what had irked her so much, that he was still laughing and not taking this seriously at all. Truth be known, she was on the verge of joining him in his hysterics, were it not for the fact that she was the source of the amusement. A slave girl indeed, was he space sick? The kuati woman shook her head again at the memory.
"Get your mind out of the gutter Zann and think again, you had your time and I owe you no more. That incident in the bath does not count."
She had to look away, fear of laughing along with him overtaking her and that would only have made Tress laugh even more. One deep cleansing breath was all it took to calm her, however, composure taking laughter's place when she eventually did settle next to him, relaxing a little. If he was going to strike, he would have done it by now, surely?
"No, if anything it was enlightening, gives me the edge on knowing your fantasies, good luck on working out mine." Delicately, she tapped him on the nose with one index finger and smirked triumphantly. To the best of her knowledge, he wasn't a jedi, so her thoughts were completely safe. One day she'd share those thoughts with him, but it wouldn't be this one, not right now when there was so much to be done.
Pillow in hands, she thwacked him with it for that, content for that to be the revenge he was going to get for sitting there in his perpetual hysteria at her expense. Kuati pride, of course she was proud, who wouldn't be? She really didn't see where that was such a bad thing, but then the arrogant - or slightly arrogant - never did, did they?
But he'd managed to quell her growing frustration by pulling her against him, those last words more soothing than infuriating. At least he knew when enough was enough, she thought as she embraced him back. His laughter was infectious.
"I should go as a slave girl if just to get you back for that bacta tank incident. Consider it a peace offering that I do not. I have far too much self respect. Anyway, when can we leave? I still have to speak with Colonel Klask...things are happening on world that I need to be ahead of, a campaign of sorts. I believe it is time that I called in a favour." Khari appeared distant for a second, yes, this had been coming for a while, "No time like the present."

Post by Heg'zi A Klask on Apr 30, 2011 14:00:46 GMT -5
It had been periods of utter nothingness, interrupted by wild and vivid dreams, and moments of intense sense robbing pain. It appeared that that point was over now, and Klask laid comfortably in a bed trying to shake off the last lingering effects of the sedatives they had had him on since he came in.
He knew if his wife were here she would be throwing a fit each time he would lift up the sheet and the neckline of the gown and look down at the bright, pink new flesh that was the remnant of the gaping hole in his chest.
From what the doctor had said, he was quite lucky to be alive, the shot had taken out part of his right lung and caused a severe burn to the muscles of his heart. The doctor had come in just a few hours ago now and given him all the specific medical miracles and techno babble, he had not been able to follow it other than it he had been down for quite a while and to all right should either be dead or have been turned into some sort of damn cyborg.
He considered the implications of the latter, well it certainly would be more useful to be a cyborg in some instances... his wife would probably just have tried to sell him for scrap value. But if he followed the doctor correctly, something to do with some newer "replicating enhanced bacta" technique, he was still all flesh and blood.
He clicked through the channels of the holonet feed half heartedly and not really paying attention. What he wanted was to get up, put on real clothes and get the hell back to the office, if anything to find out if it was still there.
When the door opened, he had to force himself to relax and not fire upon the nurse bringing in yet another bland meal. Had none of these people ever eaten bland food after you had been in a bacta tank? For the love of the founding families, some-one bring him a bottle of hot-sauce!. He slipped his blaster back under the edge of his leg where it was under the thin sheet and crappy blanket. Luckily she had not noticed.
Banner should be back soon he thought as the nurse put the food down upon the bedside swing table and scooted it over for him to eat. Ugh, more blandness... Banner had brought him his pistols earlier, the other was under his left thigh, and had also brought a com-link for him. The com-link turned out to be a near-disaster, since it was a mk12 unit and set off the heart monitor alarms in the room next door when he fired it up. Banner was going to bring him one of the slick newer D-8s, those would probably fare better and they had even higher levels of encryption. Most importantly Banner would be bringing him a set of proper pants.
As the nurse left, Klask set down the remote in his left hand upon the table and proceeded to grab spoon and contemplate how long he would stare at the tasteless mush on his tray. The wobble this performed as he poked at it clinched it, he was now going to hold his gun to the head of the next person to enter the room and hold them hostage for a damn nerf steak.

He would have to remember to flatter her more, he was just hesitant to do so in any degree or it would go to her head. More laughter. She knew she beautiful, near perfect but definitely excelled in the looks department. He would have to remember to let her know he saw it more often..thought that KDY advertisement poster kept popping into his head.
"I would be taking Urai..." well come to think of it he was still bringing him along. He had more friends then he did at that gathering. " Honestly, i think hes going with in any case, but a bodyguard. Its all the rage, anybody and everyone that is a Crime Lord of some note will be having one..." he was joking of course, but it did give him an idea. "How about you going as my slave girl/bodyguard?" he gave her a smile.
"Does so count !" he tells her feeling as if she was trying to weasel out of the deal. He had no intention of following through with it, but he wanted to keep it over her head from some time to come. "Terms of the deal was.....do you want me to repeat them?"
"Whatever you'd like is fine, sure we can work something out." he tells her head buried at her side, he was just basically holding her abit awkwardly, he thought with a chuckle. "And what are you talking about? Campaign? Favors? what?"

Tress might have only been saying that to wind her up further, but Khari's expression suddenly grew extremely pensive, there was merit to be had in that idea. It could actually work. While he might have found the idea of her getting her hands dirty humerous, she had never been adverse to the idea, in fact, if he knew the truth, she had been inclined to several times over the past couple of years. If you wanted a job done right, you often needed to do it yourself, and she was a lot more technically and practical minded than most would have given her credit for.
"Alright." She said after barely a moments pause, "I'll do it, but you need to knock the first part of that equation off of there, I'm nobody's slave anything, it goes against my grain."
Now she smiled, letting it play across her lips as she watched him hide his face against her side rather awkwardly, he was still laughing, she could tell by the tell tale way in which his body quaked from time to time, ripples of laughter rolling through him from time to time. Well it was good to see him happy, wasn't it.
"And don't fret over my ability to do the job, if I couldn't defend myself or aim at a variety of ranges I wouldn't be standing here today. There are almost as many tyrants in legitimate clothing here as there are crime lords across the galaxy. You need only look at Kaur Kuhlvult to have seen that." That smile took full form now - ah yes, poor Kaur, arri had really done her a service there, she was still trying to tie up all those loose ends but his had been the first she had looked into. No one would ever see the evidence he had collected on her, not least of all because much of it had been genuine, she had destroyed that which was incriminating outright and had ordered the scouring of his offices for evidence of master copies or anything to that effect.
Khari glared at him mock balefully, "I believe these were extenuing circumstances, don't you? I wasn't aware dirty tactics were being allowed now, had I known this, I would have bitten the hand that....need I go on?" Lightly she trailed her fingertips over the feint line that was the residual scar of his injury, not applying any pressure, but wincing at the thought of the fused joint. That had been a close call too many. Over those short moments thereafter, it had really hit home just how much she did love him, was afraid of losing him. How close she had come to doing just that.
Her brow creased in a small frown, she tried to shake that thought, not wishing to dwell on what might have been, he was here now and that was what mattered.
"You know what? That one's on me."
Back into the thick of things, she might as well come clean and tell him what she had been considering over the past few days. He would find out soon enough anyway. Bidding that he sit up and pay attention to this, she did likewise, holding his stare for those few moments until his laughter had subsided.
"Back to business, this whole mess with the Kage, the Falleen and even the empire to some extent, are you noticing a pattern?" Khari asked, waiting a few seconds for him to reply, "I will be blunt, force users. All that damage to the spaceport, our auxillery spaceports around the array can barely handle all the diverted incoming as it is, Dooku has put us under undue strain for a number of months, and with little in the way to compensate for his deeds. Who will answer for that crime? Sure, the empire have taken him away, imprisoned him...or so I assume, but what do the Kuati have in terms of justice? Little more than the assurance of an Imperial commander that he will be dealt with."
Spreading her palms wide in a gesture of stressing her point, the Kuati knew she did have a fair point with that one. Not once had the Grey Jedi thought to own up to their mistakes, their order it seemed had gone woefully silent. If they still existed at all.
"And then, not only are we left with one mess to clean up, this mystery Falleen force user, who I can only assume was working with Dooku or some enemy of his, takes it upon himself to infiltrate KDY and steal one of it's classified possessions, cause untold damage in that hanger and is potentially responsible for the murder of one of the Ten. It's not just here these things are happening either. Think about it, Tress, whenever there is a major war in this galaxy, who are often to blame for it, for every major threat we face, who have ecsassabated it, or blown things up to a maginitude that normal citizens of countless worlds caught up in the mess cannot possibly hope to handle?"
She was probably going to regret opening this can of worms, but in her mind it was an opinion she and several like her had harboured for some time. The Jedi in particular were no longer viewed as saviors of this galaxy so much as they were a liability.

"In essense for the last 48...well, you get the point." he said smuggly looking up at her quickly before hugging her again. He didnt have to laugh again but it felt good to do it so he did. After awhile he did release her with a kiss to the hip and just relaxed on his back near her.
"You sure you can get away?" he asked just to be certain. There were alot of things to do here. Get to the bottom of certain things, before others saw an opening or a weakness. "Will just be a few days if anything."
The trip itself would be the longest since it was at the edge of Hutt Space. Once there it should be all fun and game, excitement helping the time pass quicker. A few meet and greets and then come back in no time at all.
"Dirty tactics? They were not...." he tells her hurt she would think so, another dirty tactic if there ever was one, but lets see where it went. "i got you fair and....what do you mean, thats ones on you? I won? hours added?" He had finally won, he thought smuggly placing one hand behing his back. A breathe of fresh air and a smile aimmed her way.
When she first touched his healing scar, he looked at her. She looked so far away while she thought and he wondered what she was thinking. He was fine and with her, where he wanted to be. Everything was as it should be, so then why the look she had on. "You ok?
He could see she had put in alot of thought to this. The reports they had gone over in the last day when they had time, lead to things he didnt want to acknowledge. Though she was right about things. The Array had been almost destroyed with the Kages antics, not to mention his droid pet. Then soon after, this unknown falleen and the stealing of classified project resourses.
They had both cost KDY time and resourses, but why stop there with them. She had also been right with the force users in general. Pick any major conflict in the last hundred years and they would be the cause just because they took it upon themselves to police others. "I hate to mention this, but possibly every crimelord we will met at the race would be holding a grudge against some type of force user." he tells her.
"While the Jedi will hold the major blame, the others like the Grey should be held accountable, too. If that is the case, every force user should be included." he thought of Urai Fenn, but no one knew of his skills. He himself rejected the idea it was the force when he did what he did. He had seen things to question it himself. He had seen him do things even with ysalamiri present, when others like Nightsisters were blocked to the force. "There will be those willing to help if you want to do this." the choice was hers, she would basically be uniting some of the worst and most powerful of the Underworld under her banner if she was serious.
He wondered if she knew the scoop of the power certain crime lords could bring into the fold if they sided with her. He would put the Zann Consortium in just this come to reality. "I am with you..."

Khari's sardonic expression said it all for her, that last 48 hours hadn't been what she had been on about and she would wager he knew too. It was all an attempt to keep her wound up, almost as if he relished her next move. Maybe he did? Some people were gluttons for punishment. But that one she was going to have to let go for the sake of this subject. They really did need that trip.
"I will make time. I told you, I have responsibilities here, yes, but I also have a life and I do not intend to neglect either. Besides, it will almost be like a business trip, they can't slight me for that now can they?" She said with a plesant enough tone, and in some ways she was absolutely right. But as far as everyone else knew, she wouldn't be leaving the core.
"Exactly." Khari said, a brief flash of danger glinting in her dark brown eyes, she knew what she was doing, there was no mistake about it. "But first we have to make it appear as if they joined this 'cause' as it were, of their own accord. If I or anyone else directly linked to this place are seen to be garnering the support of the underworld, well that could be terribly bad for business. Not to mention my reputation. However, that's not to say that if these crime lords chose to offer their support to a cause that just happened to be ilicited by us, at a later date, well...who are we to say they cannot voice their opinions?"
Casually she shrugged, as if this were all nothing really, but he was bound to have seen this side to her eventually...he already knew what she was like. What else was there that she had to hide?
"But I suggest we lay the groundwork well, first. I already have a few things in mind, one of them actually pertains to our good friend Colonel Klask. My mother informs me that he is now back in the land of the living and, if I recall rightly, he still owes me one small favour in exchange for pretty much wiping the slate clean and sparing his life....of course if he does not wish to participate I could always turn that little tidbit of information over to the Ten..." Tutting she sighed, and slowly shook her head, appearing almost regretful, "Such a waste, they take a dim view of treason."
She could see where he was coming from, it was a line of thought she had already touched on in part herself. It wasn't just the Jedi that were the problem, though they certainly made a good place to start, but all force users. Centuries ago the Sith had devastated the galaxy in their warring with eachother and the Jedi forces who had set out to banish them from the galaxy forever. They had done a vaguely efficient job, but like all things, it never lasted.
"The populace of many a world will grow to understand that eventually, the question is the best arena to slip this little notion into without looking too much like we are looking to place the blame out of vengence. That is not my intention. But things like this will continue to happen so long as force users remain unregulated. What are the Alliance doing to keep their Jedi in line? What government is in place on Zonama Sekot to ensure that the Grey Jedi will not simply send a fleet here to finish what their leader started? Even the RGE...is their emperor not Sith?"
Yes it would cause strain on their alliance, but Kuat wasn't governed by the RGE, no matter what the association, and while relations with the GA remained strained more so, the Kuati would keep to themselves. On guard and vigulent.
On the last point though, she was elatedly pleased, "I would hope so...or I might have to go and fetch that towel again, hmm?"

"A business trip with known ruthless criminals." he said with a smirk. " Not something they would approve of, but what they don't know wont hurt them." that was the whole point really. To possibly get some help, the kind that would lead to things. Rather then the kind that spends most of its time deliberating on matters.
With the backing of the underworld, who needed a intelligence department. They had their hands in everything, had influential people on their payrolls. While others sold info they might pay to have. Plus as an added bonus they had assets placed on different planets they control.
"I like the sound of that. Most of them will, too. Some have lost fortunes or varying degrees of power to Jedi or other force users out for their own gain." Seems she had given this a lot of thought. That was good saved time. Event he danger of being spotted and recognized. That worried him, the risk in her position. These were criminals after all, could be some had some sense of honor. He knew a few that once their word given, they would work to the better good of all. Others would sell her out in a heart beat or blackmail her to keep things secret.
"I will have Urai make us a list of dependable associates we can whisper to. See where it leads us...?" he asked, this was her show. He was just going to offer her some support out of sheer boredom....and he loved her.
"Ah, yes....how is old stuffy pants?" he had wondered if he had died or not. Hadn't really given it a thought, he was a soldier and were paid to die, but this one had its uses he supposed. "I see you have things well in hand in that regard?" he was trying not to laugh at his plight, but it was his own doing.
He shrugs as to the Emperor being Sith. "Its whispered he is, but he could just be a recluse or look like something a Hutt spit up." Though the RGE was useful in its way. The sith he really didn't see a problem with, they forced criminals to join their cause but that only helped them profit more in the end. It was the Jedi that stopped, hurt and basically the problem. "I say we try finding out the where abouts of the Grey first. Start small, let the momentum build from there. The Jedi will have to come to their rescue, right? How about the sith?" That droid pet of the Kages could be the reason fingers get pointed at the RGE? She will have a plan, no doubt, follow the ripples and see where to strike.
The towel remark got her a glare and pulled into his arms. Getting comfortable he lays back holding her. "The only problem i foresee is leadership." he tells her seriously. "These crime oriented people are to stuck in their own ways to give up power they think they deserve. What we can do or you put to them is running this new alliance like a business." he looks at her wondering if shes paying attention or not. "a Corporation, with board members and a chairmen. The more you give at the beginning determines the placement you have within the board. Or something to that effect......"

She mirrored his smirk knowing what he was getting at, but she had already explained herself there.
"I told you, if they have the credits, we have the means. Where they garner their credits from is of little significance to me or the Ten. So long as their coffers are lined amply." That smirk only grew wider, "And listen to you, heir to a criminal empire and you're cautioning me in the symantics of good PR. As you said, what they don't know won't hurt them, but thank you for caring."
"It never hurts to make a list, that would be prudent. I cannot promise anything at this stage, it all hangs on how this matter is recieved by the senate - all of them. But knowing who to gather in the quest for timely support would be useful." Khari raised a hand to her hair and brushed a few errant strands back away from her face thoughtfully, the look in her eyes a prudently distant one for those few seconds. Tress might have been forgiven for thinking she had gone into some sort of trance, but truthfully she was only in the zone.
What brought her out again made her blink abruptly, a small cluck of laughter passing her lips until she was sure she had heard him right on that interesting name for the good Colonel.
" Stuf- Colonel Klask, is doing well if what my mother stated was correct...Kuat knows why she has taken such an interest, perhaps she has a thing for him, horrible thought however you look at it, but who really can tell? In any case, she recieved a message originally intended for me stating he is wide awake and recovering at present. We should probably go down there to speak with him before he is discharged. Lest he vanish like his family did on their extended vacation."
Patting Tress gently on the knee, she motioned for him to get up. While the idea of lounging around all day did appeal, they had spent the past two days intimately exploring every flat and sturdy surface the suite had to offer. The memory of that had the raven haired Kuati zoning out all over again, but it would be good to get out and back into the swing of things. The time for rest and relaxation was over.
Tress, though, had other ideas.
Caught in his embrace she fell back against him surprisingly lightly, turning to the side to avoid his injured shoulder, and looking at him ruefully. What was his game? Something to do with the toweling she'd given him, no doubt.
Khari considered what he'd said for a moment, he had a point but it wasn't what she had set out to achieve. "I'm not suggesting we create some sort of political subgroup, just that we give the current leadership a less than subtle nudge in the right direction. However, you raise a good point, it could come to that, and if it does the distribution of leadership could end up a political, and then again other, kind of bloodbath. Power struggles of that magnitude never come without loss. The main threat will come from those persecuted by the movement."
A sigh escaped her, and she mussed up her own hair tiredly, the day had scarcely begun and she was already contemplated when the next opportunity to sleep would be. Not for some time, they had work to do.
"We really do need to speak to stuffy pants, but first we can stop by your ship. Unless you were planning on disturbing him by turning up attired in that stunning coture hospital gown?"

"Speaking of credits...and purchasing ships. I would like to begin negotiations on buying some for private use." he tells her. The Zann Consortium could always use some newer ships in his modest fleet. Why not see what could be arranged with good PR as she said it. "So how about it? Would KDY be willing to sell a Zann some of its products?"
He could see this going one of two ways. One was they would deal with him, but sell at unreasonable prices cause of his name. Second would be to not note his name in the dealings at all. He wondered which would happen. There was always the third way, but let her answer first.
Never harmed anyone with being prepared. He would be sure to ask, Urai, for more downplayed people or groups. There were some like the Blackguard pirates that preyed on the Hydian way that he knew was being run by a Governor in the Outer Rim. There was no connection between him and his band of pirates, he was the one that actually gave him the idea to run for Senate. Gave out pointers on how it could work, though the only place the Zann Consortium was running semi-openly was on Anaxes. To everyone else they had ceased to exist just about 11aby, to those that really mattered they were still out there and still a power to contend with.
"Oh, great mother dearest is on the scene again. I don't wish to be around that one for awhile yet, if i can help it." he tells her, though he was thinking what was her interest in the Colonel. "I hope she does, so she can be out of our hair for awhile. If i see her anytime soon, fun will follow." not the good kind of fun either, but bad things would happen. Either one of them would be pushed into starting something.
To his other question or suggestion, she had things to say. He hadn't seen it that way, but she was right. "Well then only a push or a nudge in the right direction then?" There would need to be some sort of action against one of the powers that be. Grey Jedi against the Vong? Grey Jedi against the RGE or GA? Against Kuat itself? Something the Senate could see and act upon. "So they need to appear to have struck first? Will that help us out more?",
He looked down at himself, a few nail marks on his chest had him smiling. "I guess I could use some clothes or others will see ...things. Is there a tailor at this hotel? Somewhere close by i could buy a few things? " he had to look at her this time. "One time being accosted by complete strangers is enough i say."
"But, if not i guess a quick trip to my ship could be done in secrecy?" he looked to her for confirmation. "Then off to see Colonel Stuffy pants...." he kissed her and got up, looking around for some sort of covering for his nakedness. "Alittle help here?"

"Openly, or covertly?" Was Khari's first question, he would have been right in his train of thoughts, they couldn't deal with those who had stollen from them in the past without clawing something back. The eclipse was worth a pretty credit, it would take them a while to pay off that.
"Openly, done, but you must realize that in doing so the expense will be higher to cover the cost of damages rendered during the raid your grandfather had so much fun with on his last ever visit here. It's nothing personal against you, but his legacy owes much to the Kuati. There would be a considerable fuss if I just let the Zann consortium get away with that one. However, I believe I can help." Perhaps she was a fool for trusting him on this one, it was in her nature to be suspicious, and so the sudden notion of what she was implying she would do without that natural suspicion, left Khari feeling somewhat, tried. The coup de grace came when one considered that all KDY ships were engineered with a failsafe, should someone turn those ships on their creators. Tress knew this, it was he who had inadvertantly helped her recover that which had been put in place by Kuat of Kuat, back when Khari herself had been a very young girl and such complexities never even entered her head. This alone proved groundwork and contingency planning were everything.
They had certainly proved useful.
"I will see to it that you are charged over the odds, Tress, I cannot get away with that one, the Ten simply wouldn't stand for it. But...and this is the big one, I am prepared to pay the excess myself, covertly naturally. Consider it a gift. But If one word of that gets out, it will be my...and yours via extension, head. So we just keep this between ourselves." What he chose to make of that was his own business, but it would go a long way to smoothing things over, it could, inadvertantly be paving the way to make what they had as it was, a tad more acceptable. But in business you had few allies, she would have to treat the situation exactly the same as any other, aside from that one small oversight.
At this, Khari visibly shuddered, she didn't need to know what her mother got up to to know Tress had been telling the truth about that one. She only hoped that when she reached that age she wasn't nearly as bad, or crude, about it all.
"Fear not, she will not be there, I believe she's busy for the day catching up on senatorial issues. None of which, thankfully, include harrassing you, I or even colonel stuffy pants Klask...I'm sure you'll both be thankful for the break. I know I am, sometimes I wonder if we truly are related at all." An uneasy laugh found eagress on her lips, and she belatedly got up again, walking towards the dresser storage to pick out something to wear. Tress though, was going to find himself at a loss for things....unless he really wanted to try and squeeze into her clothes. Now that thought had her chuckling a little more thoroughly. She wouldn't suggest it, after walking all the way here in a backless hospital gown, she wouldn't put it past him to try.
And that new evening gown I had made would go so well with his pink ship...she thought before creasing up in a series of snickers and repressed laughs.
Slipping off the simple wrap around robe she had on, she began to dress, listening to him whilst doing so. Ah yes, the droid apprentice debacle, now was as good a time as any to utilize that idea.
"Well you did suggest having that droid apprentice remade, only fully automated rather than sentient. Could it not be utilized to create an issue elsewhere? Aside from that, the Grey Jedi really have cast the first stone, look around you next time you are at the spaceport and tell me you do not see it. " She said matter of factly, he had to admit, she had a point there. Khari didn't know many who would consider that fair treatment at all, no matter what KDY had done to Dooku, it was his apprentice who had begun the destruction out of hand. And they had the footage to prove it.
Raising a slender eyebrow she glanced down at the marks on his chest that had everything to do with her and definitely not Anara, or any other stranger that might have taken a fancy to a pantsless Senator wandering the halls and pedwalks of the array. Then she shook her head.
"Actually I was thinking we could go to see Klask as you are, it would probably make him agree to my version of events far faster than anything I could ever say to him." Khari mused with a completely serious face, wondering just how long it would take him to realize she was messing with him...though she had to admit, while it wouldn't work on her, it might work on Klask after all. But he might not be in any fit state to testify if he was still reeling from that. He had to be about the only person in that medical center who hadn't witnessed Tress' bacta tank performance, he wouldn't be prepared for a full blown private show.
"I'm joking, I'll have them send out for something and then you can collect the rest of your things when we are done."

He knew it would come to that, so it would have to be on the sly."This one will have to be done covertly, I'm afraid. It has to do with those droid I spoke about before. I need a ship for him to command and attack from." Even if they didn't use him, the ship would come in handy for any number of reasons.
He was thinking of using him to attack the Vong, the droid, was hard to forget and they would know who controlled him. The Grey would be destroyed or brought up on charges for reestablishing hostilities against the Yuuzhan Vong Empire. There were other uses for this droid if that was to much of an attention grabber. He could be used to attack any place, leaving evidence of him being behind the attack. Possibly start a rift between he Jedi and Grey's, or the Sith themselves. It all came down to how much news they wanted and what Khari had planned with Colonel Stuffy Pants.
Charge me over the odds will they? He guessed from what he planned on making in profits on the Kuati Underworld he could go with that deal. IT would be him paying them back with their own credits, how would they take it if they knew he was still over them as his tattoo suggested. "A gift? Like I would need to return the favor and get you something of equal value on you day of birth?" was she trying to buy him, showing her wealth? "I am worth billions thanks to Tyber and his Emperors vaults heist, thats not to mention what i get under the table from various criminal activities, Khari." he looks at her wondering with a smile what she was thinking. "Talk to me, what was that about?"
"Senatorial duties?" That was something he should look into himself. "Maybe I should feel bad about not looking into taking over my duties as a Senator ?" he had meant to go look into things, take his official title, but had been side tracked along the way. He was even thinking of giving it up, but maybe he could send someone in his place. " What would you think of me stepping down as Senator? The title seems wrong on a person like me. I could be doing other things, things better suited to my temperament." he thought about it or acted as he thought, which was hard to do when making a joke about yourself. "I still am owner of Zann Remanufacturing I could give them more of my time and business savvy."
"Funny you should bring that up. I was just thinking that earlier, but wanted to know your full plan before i set things into motion. " he told her, which was partly true. They had reasons enough to go after the Grey Jedi legally for damages they wrought here on the Array. "So then, those ships i asked for would be used in conjunction with this droid plan. I wanted something small...but, hey whats this with the Colonel? How is he going to help us out?"
He looked down at himself and wondered what she was getting at. "Im confused? How would me going like this be of any help?" was she asking him to do something perverted with Stuffy Pants. "Oh, no...hes not my type if thats what your thinking !"
He looked relieved, but not with her joke. He would add that to the list when he sprang his trap on her for that towel stunt. "Good, now something to wear after my shower would be nice....no more of that pinching heath Kuati woman. What is with you woman anyway?"

She had to admit it, she was a little lost for words when he came to that particular assumption. This wasn't a competition, it hadn't been meant that way at all and frankly, she was a little stung that he was thinking that way. And Khari being Khari, she wasn't shy about giving voice to that either.
"I never once questioned your ability to be able to actually pay over the odds, I simply wished to be fair and give them to you for the price any other regular customer would pay. If you choose to see that as me questioning your worth, then you are abhorrently wrong." Crossing her arms and adopting an unimpressed expression, she didn't stop there. "Talk to you? Tress, there is nothing to tell, I was trying to be nice, generous, all the things I should not be if stereotypes are your thing. I was going to help you. But since you have proved...yet again...that you don't need it, don't worry. I won't be offering again!"
Letting out a hiss of a sigh, she realised now just how much momentum she had built up throughout the course of those few words. Perhaps itwas the tension of the past couple of weeks, but he really hadn't been himself since he'd come back from that hanger incident. Something in the bacta perhaps? Or something else. At any rate, whatever it was was starting to make him question everything she did and he really had no need. What she needed, however, was to calm down and be analytical about things.
"I didn't expect anything in return. We aren't business partners. "
How could they achieve anything if they were like this? She needed to focus, and maybe he would follow.
So maybe that was it, Khari wondered, he was simply having a bit of a life rethink after his ordeal. Perfectly logical considering, she had done much the same before her ascent, it had taken one traumatic event to spur her into acting. But where did this then leave them? The thought of being without him she didn't even want to contemplate, contemplating contemplation alone hurt.
"The choice is yours alone, I cannot decide that for you. But you do what you have to, what you believe is best. On Kuat, business and politics go hand in hand, it is an unavoidable fact. Elsewhere that is not so prevailant. I have faith in you being able to handle either, or both if it takes your fancy. As it is, your stance as liason offers you a reason as to why you are here. That reason would not be as legitimate if you were no longer in office." But she wouldn't ask him to stick at something he didn't want to simply because they would run out of excuses as to why they were together much of the time. All that sneaking around, it could be exciting, and it could also be a strain too many. The alternative was to go public, and face the scrutiny of her peers, the barbed agendas of her rivals.
Such is life - she thought wearily, it was an option she had given great consideration to.
Now there was the Tress that she loved, always thinking ahead, well they would see where this took them then. Settling on the edge of the bed while she rooted around for her commlink, placing a brief order for something to be appropriated for Tress to wear, she settled back to explain herself a tad.
"As you know, the Colonel's little slip up with the Imperials brought him to my attention in possibly one of the worst lights imaginable, I had to question his loyalties, you understand. By rights I should have brought this matter to the Ten, and have him dealt with accordingly, his life could well be forfeit should I do so and I would not blame them. What he did was not only reckless but foolish beyond his intelligence...it may also have saved us a great deal. In light of his unique situation, I am willing to let this slide if...and that is a big if, he is willing to add a slight change to his testimony of what happened aboard this very array those days." She waited a moment for effect, then gestured a flourish with one hand, dramatically.
"For lack of a better phrase....blame it on the Grey Jedi." Tilting her head she looked at him from an angle...an angle that was more than easy on the eye, so perhaps she could have been forgiven for not immediately understanding what he said next.
A blurt of laughter burst forth when she did realize, but yes, she had been kidding. The images that encounter brought forth, she would be surprised if either party thought they were eachother's type.
"Perhaps it's a risk we won't take then. I, however, could get used to you like that all day long, but you asked for clothes...they'll be brought to the room as soon as possible by the way, and clothes you shall recieve. They may or may not be to your tastes but you can always procure your own from your-" Oh stars the ship...how had she forgotten to send a communique about that?!
"uhh never mind, will you excuse me for a moment? I really have to make a call...a private one. If you don't mind. Ladies issues."
Khari was already leaving the room a little lightly on her feet when he caught her with that one, and she spun to face him again curiously. "What can I say, we see something we like and we just have to sample it....I'll be right back."

Well he got what he was looking for, didn't he? She was seething again over what he had said, but to be honest he had said it in a way that would bother her. She was beautiful in her justified ire, though he wouldn't tell her that or it would end with a pillow or fist connecting with his face. "I'm sorry that was insensitive of me. I didn't mean it the way it sounded." he just didn't want he spending credits on him. He came from a family where the man supported the women, unlike here on Kuat where most woman where the head of the household.
Still it wasn't even that that had him questioning her paying in secret. It was what he planned on doing with the ship, possibly that he didnt want her to be apart of...directly or indirectly. She was innocent for all her experiences, he would like to shield her from some of them if he could.
He does look at her, he really hurt her and was feeling ashamed for it now. "We are more than business partners, we are so much more...which is why i cant let you spend credits on a criminal venture or that might be used as one. Love you to much to get you mixed up with this as indirectly as you wanted." he felt he had to protect her, even going as far as shouldering the blame if he had to for everything they were about to commit. She had a good thing here, and he would protect her so she could come back to that.
The worst thing that could happen was people came after him. Blamed him for all that would happen, he could be on the run, live the life of a wanted criminal. Fun and excitement at every turn. "You understand?"
"I know your right. I wasn't planning on leaving here or you, just....I dont know." he says cause he doesn't know. He felt at ease on Kuat, and all that had to do with her being there. Though there was part of him that, felt overwhelmed and wanted to just forget everything and live his life. That life was he hoped there, so wanted to get rid of the hassles of governmental offices and such. See what life had in store for him there with her.
It was time to move on, dont dwell on the silly notions of thoughts. So he changed the subject. Needed to concentrate on other things they were doing together. Intrigue and fun with someone you loved and trusted at your side.
He had known part of that story, but was sent out cause he had no right to be in there with them. It did send the Colonel to some dangerous waters, and Khari having some sort of lifesaver saved that marker for just the right time. His testamony would greatly help the cause against the Grey, could use it for what it would bring with the Senate and the furthing of the Anti-Jedi Sentiment movement. After the Vong wars and during, many wanted to give up any force sensitives just to appease the Vong. It was still the same, people not trusting the force or those who ruled it over them. "Sounds like a sound plan. Sneaky, devious and brilliant" he grins at her. He liked that plan, it excelled at excelling?
Well it was time to go get ready, why keep things waiting when they could be getting everything ready. A hop in the shower with Khari helping to wash his back, and possibly a few hours after they would be on their way.
"Yes, they will be better than having woman ogle my backside, or pinch it like some ...nevermind." he starts off going to tell her about her worthless mother again, when he stops. Might lead to other fights so he would hold off on that one. He did want a shower and wanted her in there with him. So how to accomplish that when shes off to make a call. "Cant it wait? I really wanted to express my apologies in a certain way and by that i mean...sex. So cant you wait on that cal, please !?"
Khari was already leaving the room a little lightly on her feet when he caught her with that one, and she spun to face him again curiously. "What can I say, we see something we like and we just have to sample it....I'll be right back."
He got up and followed her waiting at the doorway. "I cant wait...hurry." and he stays there waiting for her. "Us being in a relationship means topics of lady issues will come up...so here i am...going to support my woman."

That was the problem with the Kuati, highly strung was something of a mainstay of the upper classes, Khari would have admitted to it were she not as insulted as she had seemed by his earlier statement. She could probably buy a planet if she wished but one thing she would never do would be to try and buy him. He wasn't a telbun nor was he something she could place a value on, because putting it plainly, he was priceless. She didn't care what he did or did not have, had looked past where he was from, what his herritage dictated in terms of reputation and had seen him for who he was, simply him. And there wasn't a part of her that didn't love him for it, even when he was being the most infuriating man in the entire galaxy and doing his upmost to wind her up.
"I don't want you ever thinking I would do that, try to buy you," She felt the need to clarify, rather than justify, "I just thought that - well it doesn't matter now, but I'm sorry if it sounded that way." The hardness had since been dropped from her voice, and she looked at him with a sense of clarity, sincerity. His apology had been hasty, but she could tell it was genuine if just by the way his posture had changed, his tone of voice with it. She might have moved to embrace him, but he was already continuing, and she would hear what he had to say.
Ah so that was it, Khari thought with a knowing nod of her head, hair still somewhat messed up from having only woken up not too long ago. Yet another thing she would put off in favour of him for the meanwhile. But if Tress had only known all that she had done to get to where she was at this present moment in time, perhaps he would think twice about just how much she really had been involved in things. Granted, she could afford to have others do the dirty work for her, but that came with an element of risk, in the end, she had been the only logical choice. It wasn't to say she did not understand though.
"I believe I do," She admonished, nodding again sagely, eyes downcast for a moment in pensive absence, "And I appreciate it, I truly do. But I would not have offered if I didn't believe that either one of us would be somewhat insulated from blame of many sorts. I no more wish to see you fly to your own social and political demise anymore than you would wish to see me do the same. There was always the option of both of us dealing through third parties. Naturally, mine would be someone I would rather went out in a blaze of shame, should the terrible happen. But I don't know how fondly you view the majority of your task force, as it were." A small kink in her plan really, he might consider her cruel for being that cutthroat in her methods, but when you considered the kind of infastructure she was a part of, that was positively merciful.
It was all moot though, there were other means he could procure the craft if he so wished, she could leave the option open to him. It was his empire to do with as he wanted.
Hearing that was a small comforting reassurance, Tress did appear to be a little lost, however, possibly at the crossroads of a point in his life and not yet knowing which route to take. She knew how it felt, when her whole life had been mapped out for her since before she was born, Khari had always known the road on which she was travelling. And then fate had dealt her an interesting blow, changing everything.
"Just considering what would be best enough to make this work? It was never going to be easy, we both knew that from the start. But, we did make it this far. Whatever you decide you'll have my support." The Kuati reassured him, and then inwardly wondered if her father's diplomatic side had really rubbed off on her. "Unless of course that something involves your ass and the wall of a bacta tank whilst making interesting gestures with your hands again...then I really will have to walk away professing I don't know you." Imbuing that with just a smidgen of humour, she kept her demeanour aloof, waiting for him to respond in some form of mock outrage. Even a little denial, perhaps?
But in the wake of remembering what she had done to Tress' ship, she didn't have time to savour the jest much at all. She had better make that call.
So cant you wait on that call, please !?"
Tress had managed to catch her completely on the fly there, which was probably why no smart remarks flew from her mouth, nor even a hint of suggestion...though she was considering that now. Her lips were moving, somewhat uselessly trying to form the words to an excuse that was never realistically going to make it out of her mouth before she agreed with his suggestion completely. She had learned first hand what making it up to her that way had meant, only a complete idiot would have passed that up.
"It can wait..." Those words were what came forth first, and while they were completely true she knew she was putting off the inevitable. When he saw that ship, she was going to spend the rest of her days apologizing, and those things didn't come naturally to any Kuati. Yet casually, she tossed the comlink aside as if it were now irrelevant. "...it's not too important." lies lies lies, she was going to regret those when the time came.
Retracing her steps back towards him, she took what he said and ran with it. "Oh some things even the most supportive of men do not need to hear, that is definitely one of them." An uneasy laugh bubbled up from her throat, and she belayed it just as quickly. Reaching him in a matter of four long strides, she pretty much wrapped herself around him, enfolding him in a loving and suggestive embrace, rising up on her tip toes to kiss him softly, longingly, and hopefully erase any thoughts he had about questioning her obvious evasion concerning those 'womens issues' she had been blaming his starkly bright pink ship on. That was an issue alright, an issue and a half.
Arms around him, she gazed back into his eyes, thoughts very much on what might follow, but he had sounded like he had a plan. Since nothing ever went according to the plan, perhaps she had reason to be concerned? No, he'd been in full apology mode back then.
"I think we're going to be very late for our meeting." Khari purred in that way that bespoke just how much she truly didn't care about her timekeeping right now.

He really didn't have to say anymore, they had said what they had to and moved on. Though he did give her a wink to sooth her more. It hadn't been his intention to make her feel that way, nor hers in what he felt when she told him that. He realized at the time and even now she was doing it cause she was purely good when it came to him, just as he would have been to her. Came from love and caring about the other and in a sense tried to make things more easy in the situation his fault for asking.
"Yes", he grinned mischievously at her. "Thats part of the point, you have a great thing going here." for emphasis he indicated everything. "Me on there other hand have one foot in the political arena, the other...outside what is usually kept secret and is outside of the norm." He had lived that life of crime, of looking over your shoulder waiting for whatever constituted as law enforcement coming to get him. Lived his life in the seediest places. "Me they would expect this from- with a last name like Zann its to be expected, but you are something different. You were born to lead KDY, not marked as a fugitive."
He could survive out there on his own having known that part of things, she he sometimes saw that it would break her or diminish what she was. He didn't think of her as pampered or spoiled far from it, but she was used to a certain way of life. "Me on the run would be better if I knew someone sweet and kind, and sometimes sexy." he joked with her, "was in the clear to offer a place to hide out. Let me take the blame and the risk, OK?" it was alot to ask her, but it was better he was seen as the bad guy.
He had the sense to feel uncomfortable and cleared his throat. "All I can say was it was the drugs. Psychotropic compound of some sort altering my good sense." he cleared his throat for effect again. "Uh, so how about those Kuati Merchants. Think they will get far in the regionals?" better to change the subject then get into a conversation about past misdeeds. "I got some money on them...."
What ever the need to have that call seemed to change as he expressed a need to stay at her side. It had him wondering what she was up to. Maybe it was about some clothes for him, but then again she said it was about woman issues so maybe not. She seemed like in no hurry to let him hear, and even steered him clear with a distraction of her own.
Her body pressed against him was always something that got his attention. The feel of her warm, and not to mention the sweet kiss right after. Yes, he was a goner alright. What had they been talking about? Well, it didn't matter cause things were about to get yummy.
Things were about to get hot and steamy real soon, but this is where the door closes.... I mean come on trying to be PG here, but you know there will be caresses galore and possibly some probing- uh, You all know how important ear hygiene is, don't act as if you don't. So 13 seconds after it started its over with, a hand comes out of steam to reach for a towel.

A fugitive? What exactly was he saying, planning even? Prior he had mentioned wishing to acquire ships for his organization, which was perfectly plausible considering, but to quit his job as newly appointed senator for Anaxes and then suggest that he purchase a few ships suggested, no - screamed, of him having designs on something. Perhaps this trip would yield the answers and where she figured in them. Aside from that, he sounded sincerely concerned, she wasn't suspicious there. A sigh and a flourish from Khari later, and she nodded solomly, understanding perfectly.
"You seem to juggle the two quite well, I would have thought a foot in the political arena would have given you the edge you needed to overcome certain...uhh otherwise impassable obstacles?" She took a look around them, as if appearing to take in her surroundings for the first time, "It hasn't been bad for business so far, but I understand. However, worry less about the implications for me, I will take care of those. I have seen more than you realise...remind me to tell you about that sometime. There are a few things you might wish to be aware of."
Wasn't that the truth? Her ascent to power hadn't been through birthrite nor standard appointment, though later down the line Khari had discovered that had she simply waited, it might well have come to fruition regardless of her position at that time. What she had done was beyond underhanded, it broke most rules the Ten had to avoid precisely that sort of thing, but what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them, and when they saw how capable she could be, what would it matter if it came to light? Had she not done right by all of them?
Placatingly she gently brushed the back of her hand against Tress' cheek, the focus returning to her eyes and bringing forth the semblance of a small, loving smile. She was more than content with how things had turned out.
"Ohh flattery could find you some very good places to hide for a while, keep it coming and leave the locale up to me, I think we might be able to reach a pleasant agreement. " She quipped, leaning in to nip him gently on the earlobe, whispering hear weakness into his ear, "Exciting...that's the word I was looking for and still it doesn't come close." Khari pulled back for seriousness sake, though, gaze searching his. He really had pulled a number on her there, this concern, it wasn't something she was used to in a galaxy where everyone around her had abided by the code of 'everyone for themselves.' At first she hadn't known how to react to it, that had been the hard part, how to look like you didn't care when you did, you just didn't know what to say. But now things were different.
"You're concern is touching but I have been taking risks from the outset, let me take one more." One thing to be said for her, she was stubborn, always had been, but nobody was going to change that about her, she'd been that way for too long, had gotten too far for it to fail her. Or so Khari believed. Nobody ever got anywhere without ruffling a few feathers along the way.
She leaned back on her heels and laughed, that was the biggest load of poodoo she had heard in a while. The drugs indeed? They had had nothing to do with it, aside from asking the nursing staff to marry him, she wondered if the zabrak in question had had the sense to decline him yet. Better yet, remind him of it for embarrassment's sake.
"Oh really? You must let me know what it was they gave you, perhaps I could slip some into my mothers tea and watch her make an 'ass' of herself on the holonet. Would certainly liven up some of those tedious senate sessions." Both brows raised, she slid a sideways glance at him before batting him playfully, "You aren't the only one who has it in them to be devious...as you well know. Now...where were we?"
All too happy to get caught up in the general numminess (can I say nummy?) of it all, she pulled him in the direction of the sanisteam, where it was about to become a contradiction in terms, neither clean but still steamy. But not a robottom in sight.

"Is that right? Well, seem like we will have to talk later then." Now she was just making him feel better about his choices in life. There was no way he was a good politician, criminal possibly, but politics was something he didn't like. Had even planned to have a proxy stand in for him in the Senate, while he ran around the galaxy living it up. The position gave him certain rights and powers, its the only reason he went for the job.
He was sure he could use his criminal tendencies to blackmail, corrupt and basically force other Senators or Representatives to his way of thinking. Gain more power that way, but things had changed with meeting Khari. Slowly but surely they had in small ways. He had always cared, but profit was profit. If he didn't do it the next person would have and possibly cheated someone more than he had. Though now he cared about Khari and her interests, sought ways to help her achieve more.
Was that criminal behavior?
Shiver shot up his body as she whispered close to his ear. The feel of her breathe teasing a response from him without warning. Th follow up nip at his earlobe had him closing his eyes lost in the sensations it gave him. She was a temptress pure and simple.
The seriousness in her eyes made up his mind, he would still plan for the eventuality of people discovering who was behind what they were planning with the Force users. He would take the blame, after all he had nothing to lose really but her. Being on the run would be no different to him than living here on Kuat. He had safe houses from the Core to the Outer Rim, he would be just fine. The added bonus of keeping Khari in the clear would be that he could hide out with her. So he would be doing what he could to keep her safe..ish. This wasn't up for negotiation, but he wouldn't tell her that.
"You cant take risks of this nature, OK. We have to be on the same page here. We do this together, but if something goes wrong ...its me that takes the blame, understood." his eyes on hers hoping she understood. that was the end of things, she would have to see reason or his side of things. To much would be lost if they both were blamed. She had to realize she was in a far better position to help him if things went bad, so it was the logical choice.
They were after all going to form an alliance of syndicates to combat the problems with Force sensitives as a whole. There would be riots, laws broken and people ending up killed over what they were going to do. She had said she wasn't as innocent as he thought, well this had the chance of escalating to something terrible.
The time in the shower was short but sweet, what did she expect she said they had a meeting to go to. They time was of the essence, 13 seconds later "What?" he asks reaching for a towel and handing it to her. " I thought you said we were expected somewhere and that it was important to the next step of the plan." he looks over at her as he hands her the towel trying not to laugh at what had just happened. "Tell me you didnt...." kisses her and helps her get dry. It was more like practical teasing if anything, he was helping sort of. " what was i saying?" he had to stay close or she would use that towel to devastating effect. He still had the marks to prove it.

Of course she understood, that had never been an issue. What gave her fire and defiance, was this notion that she should play everything on the safe side, when all this time she really hadn't been. Maybe he was right, maybe it was time to stand aside and then...then what? Let him take the fall all by himself? Better position to help or not if he was caught she wouldn't be able to do much at all. Nothing that wouldn't incriminate them further, save for bribing her way into securing his release. And on some worlds that just wouldn't be possible. How was that logical, how was that fair - but that was the thing, life wasn't fair, she knew this, and yet her inner maddam protested. She was becoming frustrated by her own inner self.
"It won't go wrong, it can't." She muttered, sighing soon thereafter, denial made for ugly and delusional company. This was no exception. Things could, and probably would go wrong somewhere along the lines, but there were measures they could take for insurance. Better that they go into this with their eyes wide open and, as Tress had so rightly put it, on the same page.
"I understand, but I don't have to like it." Was all that came to mind in the end, and even that had taken it's toll on her defiance, he wasn't the enemy though, so she wouldn't take out her frustrations on him.
All that done with for the time being, they had taken things to the sanisteam for a far less conversational moment or few (which better have been longer than 13 seconds or someone is going to learn a very harsh lesson in denial) though there was scarcely time to linger, even if the nature of both their actions had taken a more playful turn of things. While he chased her around with a towel for a change, tailgating the entire way simply to keep her close, Khari knew fine well it was just to avoid her getting ahold of a towel for herself and putting it to the same use she had used the other. It brought a wry smirk to her lips just to think of it. That and the obvious charade of pretending to help when all he was really doing was satisfying his own wonderlust. But fair being fair, she had gotten her own back by simply attempting to make a subtle grab for the towel, which naturally he would yank away out of fear leaving himself open for 'attack' as it were.
The game persisted even as he was staring back at her in what Khari could only discribe as shock and dubious humour. Ah yes, the small matter of whether or not she really had done what she had suggested she should do to Anara, and the answer was far less innocent than he was expecting.
"Of course not, but it bears looking into doesn't it?" Khari rubbed her hands together like some mock-villainess cooking up an evil plan. She couldn't really do that to Anara, though she had considered slipping the woman a sedative or two just to knock the gusto out of her in order to give her telbun a moment of peace. Whatever his station in life he'd been the one to bring her up, she tended to feel more empathy for him. It couldn't be easy, much less an honour, to be stuck with her daily....now there was a thought.
"I take back what I said earlier about you disturbing the Colonel into acting according to our wishes. We should send my mother to speak with him. If I know her as well as I think I do, he'll be screaming for mercy within oh...less than a minute...of course this does bear the unfortunate risk of him wishing to commit suicide." The regret in her voice was less than palpable and she tilted her head this way and that, appearing to seriously debate it, then glanced back over her shoulder at Tress and laughed outright. "Your new clothes should have been dropped off by now, let's get a move on before Klask dies of old age...mores to the pity, but he still has his uses."
She took a moment to look him up and down appreciatively, trying to imagine him walking all the way from the medcenter to here in that backless gown...now that hadn't been a drugged stupor but it was irrivocably him and she doubted anyone else would have gotten away with it too. Especially with that tattoo.
"So...are you going to relinquish your durasteel grip on that towel and trust me with it for a few moments, or do I have to come over there and take you...it, it I meant it. Yes."

He smiled then, it was slow forming but he felt better over what she had said. They had to plan for any eventuality to be safe, one taking the blame. The other keeping in the clear. "We will try to plan for nothing going wrong, but just in case, OK" a quick kiss and he hoped that had settled things. Better get on with other things before she changes her mind.
"I can see the potential of this, yes. " he chuckles as she rubbed her hands together. "Your evil you know that. Doing that to you Mr Stuffy Pants, its beyond some one of your class to be...." he realized what he was saying and who they were talking about. "So how can i help?" Anara had it coming anyway, served her right to be used like this. Maybe let it slip in front of her he had a hand in it all. What fun that would lead to.
"Clothes? I hope they are something i can wear and not to Kuatish in style. I do have a rep to uphold." he joked with her but was really expecting some telbun robes or something to that effect. They would do until he got to his own ship, but right now he was busy holding onto the towel just as a precaution.
"Not, yet." he tells her with mock glare. "After last time I wont be leaving myself undefended and you armed with one of these." he gave a gentle yank. "Give over, we are going to be late, woman."
"Any taking and we might as well go tomorrow and see the Colonel. Let go now and I will help you dry...." all this said while pulling her closer. "it will be fun"
