Listening to the Chairbeing, Kommisar nods as Khari begins telling him available timetables. "As quickly as possible but not rushed, while this is a historic day to say the least, we shouldn't run off with things too quickly." Kommisar says before turning an eye to Kaalyanii. "If I am correct in my ettiquette and protocol, this calls for a trip to see the Extolled, your leaders must be informed of these developments. Not to mention that the Empire must show their support of this program as well."
Upon hearing Tress Odak-Zann speak Kommisar gives an interested gaze in the direction of the Senator, the Regent didn't know exactly why the Senator's was here to begin with and now he's throwing in his hat to be some sort of liason to Kuat. While looking at the Senator, Kommisar realizes he must keep on eye on this particular politician, the Regent nods. "Very well, I will recommend this course of action, you shall be our liason to Kuat."

He looked at her and smiled when she did, a wink that was hidden from the others at the opposite side of the table was only for her to see. Then he listens to her, and realized he could have waited. It was just not knowing what was next in store for him that had him asking. This way he could have a reason to be on Kuat in something official other than keeping things secret.
"I wont let you down, Regent. " was all he said. Done with things on his end he slipped his hands in his pocket and closed his fingers around a control. He had forgotten about his hearing problem, guess in closed quarters and no distractions he could hear just fine. Though he did test the theory, turning it up on high then lowered it, up on high and lowered it. Then just shut it off completely. A satisfied expression on his face with all the good that came out of this meeting.

All eyes were on Kaalyanii for that portion of the discussion it appeared, but the Yuuzhan Vong merely spread her palms in a very human gesture of absolution.
"As you speak it, they are already aware. I am adorned with a chilab, they can review all proceedings here when I return it to them. We need only finalize things with them, for it is they who I approached you on behalf of, Regent." Kaalyanii informed him as pleasantly as she could, which sounded like a dry rasp of harshness to Khari.
Keen to hush the extolled one a little, she only kept her peace for the sake of upholding the spirit of this agreement. When all was said and done, she was going to keep the Yuuzhan Vong at arms length, they were useful allies in this endeavour, but once they had what they wanted, there was no telling what any of the sides would do. And in turn, Kaalyanii must have felt some suspicion regarding both Khari herself and Kommisar also. But for now, at least, all sides claimed themselves united. Let us hope it remains that way for the duration. She thought before the Imprerial Regent began appraising Tress on his generous offer to liase between Kuat and the RGE.
Watching the regent's expression change ever so subtly, was like attempting to watch the seas on any number of worlds errode the cliffs at which they unfurled. It was barely visible to the naked eye, but for whatever reason, sense or foresight, you suspected it was there, happening regardless. Just wether or not he had assumed the truth or not was like a shot in the dark, guessing never would have revealed the answer. And they had been discreet as possible about their affairs.
All that was about to be thrown into possible detriment again though, and when it happened, Khari had almost completely forgotten about the cause.
"That concludes that then, you are more than welcome to stay if you require a rest before travelling on to speak with the ext- ai!" The sudden turn that had tried to claim her earlier had returned again, this time surprising her and resulting in her starting hard enough so that her knee collided uncomfortably with the underside of the huge ornate wooden table. Biting down on her lip to curb any possible curses, and indeed spare her further embarrassment, her situation didn't get any better. In fact, it got a lot worse there for a second, forcing her to debate wether or not she should lash out and actually give Tress a cuff round the upper arm for messing with that device all over again.
What she did manage to do, what take a very dignified breath or two, before narrowing her steely gaze upon the Sentator, her smile a complete warning to go with the index finger that motioned towards her slit-thin glare. "Ocular implants, remember? The interference is simply shocking."
And sure enough that eased off as quickly as the interference had arrived.
"Apologies, I really need to get these seen to, I am certain the upgrades will be far more proficient and less prone to picking up odd waves." Smalltalk only made things worse, she cringed at herself, but it was too late to take it back now. Thankfully, the meeting seemed to be at it's end.

A subtle chuckle came from her, watching him there revel in the moment was infectious, she was starting to like this lifestyle choice already. "A pity that won't get us through security. Still, we could always give it a try?" She pushed up and away from the table, reluctantly returning to her pacing, movement seemed to make thought that little bit easier, or at the very least calm her nerves. Running a hand through her lustrous mane of golden hair, she shook it out tiredly. Arri's head snapped round to fix him firmly in her line of sight, he'd spied a potentially huge kink in their chain, and it was of a magnitude that she was uncertain even he would be able to out run. Turning to face him fully, her mind working over the possibility, she kept her gaze low, distant as she approached him, still lounging there in the ridiculously articulated chair, designed in every possible way to support a humanoid frame. Kaur would want revenge, Zanear was right, if they wronged him enough, and with her kind of knowledge, they really would, he would stop at very little to see to it the pair of them were hunted down and brought to justice, or a very swift end, for their crimes. There could be few other options and it left Arri feeling cold. Staving off the shiver curling up her spine like an icy tendril, she finally raised her gaze to meet his, reaching forth and offering both hands to help him up. He watched her reactions intently, letting her follow the logic dots. It must have been hard for her, to realize how much she would have to give, what lengths she would have to take to see this through. He knew all along that they'd need to either elimate her Master or fake her own death. But this was just as much a test for herself as it was an escape plan. He would guide and point out things, but mostly it would be up to her to figure it out. As she held out her hands he took them, standing once again. Once on his feet he held her close, running his hands up and down her back, then kissing her forehead. Stepping back, he gave her room if she needed to pace some more. "Unless he gets caught in the crossfire somehow, I must confess I had not considered that option. But it may be our only one." Sighing, she shook her head, she really needed to think these things through first. And then she plucked at a random memory, recalling how the reports she had sent to Vestra had contained several statements from the security personnel surviving the hangar scuffle, stating that their weapons had mysteriously fired themselves. One such account had stated how it had been like an invisible hand had been controlling their own ruthlessly, pulling back the trigger and forcing them to fire on the group. The conclusion had been that since the Kage and his apprentice had been present, this was a diversionary tactic performed by they alone. Sliding a glance at Zanear, the spark of inspriation lighting up her green flecked eyes, she also recalled how the Falleen had told her that he possessed a gift, the likes of which he would rather remain aloof about. All the better advantage for them, then. And she would never have told a soul. "Do you recall what happened in the hangar bay before, when the Kage presumably made those operatives blasters fire? You told me you had means of sensing things, knowing things before others would. I know it is not a species trait, the only conclusion I could come to was that it was akin to the powers Jedi possess, though to what extent, you would have to inform me, but I digress." The Kuati wasn't even sure if she was correct in those assumptions, it was almost a stab in the dark, there was still much he had to share with her. At this staement he raised an eyebrow. Indeed she hit the nail on the head so to speak, but the conclusion that Corey or Raj had done the deed, well that brought forth the widest grin we'd had in, well, hours. Furtively, she drew him nearer, this engagement taking on a more clandestine air, "Would it be possible to replicate that? Would it be possible to make it appear as if one of Kaur's own had pulled the trigger?"As she drew him in he allowed it. Her near whisper sent shivers up his spine, and then he could contain it no longer. Shaking his head he began to chuckle, then out right laugh. His whole body was racked with mirth, he had to place his hands on his knees and bend over to stop himself from falling down. Finally calming himself, he wiped a tear of laughter from his eyes. Yes my love, yes such a thing can be done again. And yes, you seem to have to have the answer, I have been trained, among many other things now mind you, in the Jedi arts.

Noding in acceptance of everything, Kommisar is content with the outcome here today, the Regent can't help but look slightly pleased. Kaalyanii's information about only needing to finalize everything. That is when the Chairbeing, wincing with pain, catches Kommisar's sight. "Chairbeing, are you alright?"
Hearing her explian that her occular implants are behind the pain, Kommisar understands clearly what the problem is. "I'm sure your doctors will get it together when they find out they better fix the problem or start looking for employment elsewhere."
His last comment draws a bit of laughter from the Regent, thinking that the only people strickter than an Imperial is a Kuati, he finds the similarities between the RGE and the Kuati are matched well -- maybe even too well. Turning to Kaalyanii, Kommisar asks the Extolled emisary where to go from here. "Shall we stay for a bit to rest or would you perfer to go back to your leadership?"

Arri was almost taken aback by the way in which he had reacted to her suggestion, and eventual question. For a moment, he seemed to be seriously listening in hard to what she was saying, the next, a small chuckle escaped him. That in it's self was odd, but when it gave birth to a full on roll of laughter that culminated in the falleen leaning back to grasp at his own knees for support. She almost gave into the nervous hysteria that seemed to cling so tightly to the back of her conscience - was there really a cause for laughter right now? A second ago they had been discussing murdering someone in cold blood.
But all she could do, was watch, and blink in disbelief, letting Zanear work through the laughter until he could actually speak and perhaps explain what it was he found ever so amusing.
What she got was not so much of an explaination as it was an answer to her original question, at least they were being objective now. When they had some downtime, she would ask what he'd found so funny, it was so clearly something she had said, it wasn't as if she was insinuating he was a Jedi, it was just that she'd seen few others utilize such powers before. If what he possessed was anywhere near as powerful, why not use it to their advantage? It made perfect sense to her.
So when he confirmed it, it was a little weight off her mind, her concern had been that he might tell her he had been leading her on pertaining to that matter, that he had been making a jest she simply hadn't understood at the time. As bright and intelligent as she was, she wasn't an expert on Falleen humour. Anything was possible, should experience speak for so much.
"Well that's great, isn't it? I see no reason to stall, they'll be running sweeps of the complex soon enough, we should hurry."
Light on her feet, mainly due to the fact she was still wearing no footwear, she diligently pressed an ear flat to the surface of the door, deciding she couldn't hear anyone outside, then proceeded to pry it open as opposed to activating the release mechanism, which would have made a very noticable noise. Through the sliver of light glaring in from the corridor beyond, she could see what appeared to be the completely vacant hallway. Not the best place for two fugetives to be walking alone, she would have preferred a crowd, at least one could easily become lost in one of those.
They might not have the luxury to choose if they dawdled any longer. With danger snapping at their heels, she cast a look back over her shoulder at Zanear.
"I don't see anyone, but we are going to be on tracking surveilance eventually, did anyone at the detention block take holo's of your face your prints?" If either was so, they were going to have a very difficult time in utilizing any of the interface around this area in particular, every door activation, every interactive surface was going to be silently checking their prints for a match. The same went of security surveilance, if the feed picked up a match on their facial features, the place would be crawling with security personnel within minutes. Arri knew for certain they would have her's on file as a precautionary measure taken back when she had first arrived here, she was entrusted with much, and as a result they could leave little to chance.
"When we get out of this room we make a left instead of risking the turbolifts again, there should be a direct route up this corridoor before it splits off into the various sub sectors of the headquarters, we take the one to the far right. At some point along that pedwalk we are going to reach a small reception area and security emplacements, I am presuming that by that time you and I will have worked out a way to bypass this without event." That would be the route they took if he responded a negative on the facial or print scanning. She, meanwhile, would have to keep her head down and feed him instructions when it came to various intersections and codes they might require to get into certain areas. But once they had reached Kaur's offices, all that wasn't going to matter anymore, not for the return trip.

Captain Banner really wants to shoot something, unfortunately shooting the ignorant corporal in front of him will not do his already sinking career any good. He does however throw the data-pad at him.
"You came across a disabled turbo-lift and you didn't report it to me? Get out of my sight before I stuff you in an airlock, the backside of a gundark has more brains than you!
The corporal flees as Banner orders a sensor sweep and changes the security droid pattern in yet another sub-sector hoping to catch a clue to where his quarry has temporarily disappeared to. The CEO's - presumably now former assistant - is no problem, the first time she tries to access any databank or passes one of the millions of cameras all over the station, the face matching protocols, or her biometrics will trigger a response. However the Falleen is a bit trickier, because she had spoken on his behalf, and she was authorized, they never took a full biometric on him. They probably would have had to dupe some fledgling grunt to have done it, none of the experienced troops would have touched that can of worms with a ten foot pole. Just imagine how short your career would be if you were the one to nab the data on one of the Ten's "special people who do not exist"... that would be a bad day for sure... almost as bad as mine he thinks to himself. Somewhere one of the cameras will catch him, it is impossible to hide for long unless you lock yourself away in one of the ancient maintenance shafts. But from there, there is no way out, it is a dead end... literally, for hundreds die in there every year. The poor, the wanted, the forgotten. Some get in those places for free shelter, and just never find a way back out before they starve to death. No, Arri is too smart to let him stumble or lead them both into that sort of deathtrap, she has had to seen the monthly reports.
***
Klask, having had a few minutes of no one bringing him additional reports, finishes fixing a cup of tea almost thick enough for the spoon to stand straight up in. He sits back down at his desk and looks at the piles of paperwork. Damage assessments, threat indexes, complaints - plenty of those, manpower reports, casualty reports... Then he notices what isn't there. He looks around for it, and finds the one for G sector, and I sector, but no H... He calls a Lieutenant in to question him, and the young officer goes and seeks the report, he comes back with a brief notation saying there isn't one, due to the reporting requirement being waived by authority from Corporate. A further hunt turns up that there is no paperwork from Corporate clearing it.
Klask sits back and sips his tea trying to determine if it is just misplaced authorization, the report might simply be in the wrong databank, there could very well be a very confused dock-master on the other side of the Array; or is it more than that. H sector apparently has not had a communications/EM security sweep in over a month...
As he sets his now empty tea mug down, he puts it in a precarious position and just manages to catch it as it and a couple of datapads make their escape for the freedom of the floor. Cursing, he leans down to retrieve them and his eye happens to catch a little paid attention to report; one that details the filtered energy loads for long range communication devices such as encrypted data-burst transceivers. For the last 22 days H section has been drawing 13% more than the previous month.
"Gotcha!"
Lieutenant! Get Technician-Captain Blinksi up to my office on the double.

Khari felt the blood rise to the surface of her skin, colouring her a darker shade of rose' despite her best efforts to conceal what she was feeling both physically and emotionally. Her stoic expression did little to hide her discreet irritation however. Shifting in her seat and adjusting the fall of her skirt with one hand, she coughed slightly awkwardly, not willing to let the possibility her tone of voice give away anything, she wasn't one to leave much to chance.
"I am quite fine." She assured Kommisar with a thinly set smile, waving off his concern "And indeed. Believe me when I tell you that the talking to that physician will receive, will be every bit as uncomfortable as this interference."
The jovial way she spoke was obviously enough to reassure the Imperial Regent, since he spoke no more on the subject of her apparent discomfort, nor indeed appeared to show signs that he suspected something else was afoot. So when he turned to address the Yuuzhan Vong emissary, the Kuati tuned her head slowly towards Tress and afforded him a saccharinely forboding smirk. He was going to be paying for that one for some time to come, because like most Kuati, she had a memory for all the little things one would really wish people overlooked. That could have always been his plan, of course, either way it worked out as a win for her, she wasn't complaining so long as she was winning. Just as Tress' timing had been legendary, so too, would her's, she would pick her moment wisely and then pounce upon the chance like a sand panther on a womp rat.
Now all eyes were back on the Yuuzhan Vong, who had remained quiescent for the best part of a few moments now, her stance on this meeting seemed to be merely an advisory one, perhaps the unfamiliarity of the situation, her surroundings had not helped. But she didn't seem deterred, if anything, now that tall, modified frame of her's seemed more relaxed, adopting a far less stiff posture than prior to her speaking. Perhaps, thought Khari, she had been genuine in what she wanted. It mattered not for the time being, so long as she and the empire had what they required without incident, the Yuuzhan Vong was simply a necessary evil for now.
"No disrespect to your hospitality, Khari domain Vestra, but I wish to bring my people the news as soon as possible." Kaalyanii expressed graciously for one so fearsome looking, then glancing at Kommisar, "They will be eager to begin."
"None taken, I am just as eager as you both, to see this to fruition. Until this begins, I wish you a safe journey, it's been a pleasure doing business with you. I hope that our arrangement remains as amicable in the future." Khari concluded, rising, albeit a little awkwardly from her seat, seemingly unable to completely allow herself to let go of the lip of the table, paranoid that she might overcome by another bout of oculardiscomfort.
When the Regent had departed she would have some unresolved matters to deal with, such as finding out what had come of that possible break in at her private quarters. More importantly, though, she would find out if her suspicions on the matter were to be confirmed, no doubt Klask's men had the would be burglars in custody by now. It had been a good, standard hour.

He was sitting there taking interest in anything but what she and the Regent were speaking of. He did focus on the Vong to much, wondering what she was doing. He guessed he felt some sort of respect for her goal. People looked down at him sometime over his last name. If these Extolled wanted to regain some good out of this, then he wished them well.
When he felt Khari gaze at him, he turned to secretly smirk at her and mouth something out at her. It was quick and meant to shock and totally out of line for mixed company they were in. Though that was the point.
After that he turned and looked around smiling....

Kommisar rises and bows in respect to Khari, deciding to depart as soon as possible, he offers a sincere smile as he looks the Chairbeing in the eye. "Thank you, Chairbeing Vestra, for your gracious hospitality and having an eye for great opportunities. I deeply hope that this is th start of a great many things for all our peoples." Turning to Kaalyanii, Kommisar gets the sudden urge to puke all over the Yuuzhan Vong's feet but manages to hold it back, the Imperial Regent suggests she hide her true face from those outside of this room. "You might want to put your... face... back on, the people on the other side of that door may not take too kindly to seeing a Yuuzhan Vong leave when none arrived." Though Kommisar is more worried about himself regurgitating his space omlet, he isn't surprised when his suggestion is taken. While the need to hide appearances with certain individuals doesn't exist, given the history of the Kauti and Yuuzhan Vong, and the fact that this is supposed to be a secret venture, the Regent's reasoning is sound. After Lady Hul attaches the masquer and raises her hood, Kommisar leads the group of guards and dignitaries back to the shuttle for a short ride back their ship. Once aboard the Cixelsyd II, a Chiss Star Destroyer, the Imperial Regent, along with the Extolled Emissary, prepare for a trip to Zonama Sekot and a meeting with the Extolled leadership. From this point the future is all but set, favorable conditions stemming from the meeting today meant many things to many people. To know what was to come next wouldn't be be fun; Kommisar believes this to be true in most cases... this wasn't one of them. This was landmark, historic and epic on a galactic scale. Should things turn out favorable once everything was said and done, it would mean a change unlike anything anyone has seen in the galaxy for a long time. With a final word from the Captain of the Cixelsyd II, the ship maneuvered its way away from the rest of the Imperial fleet sent to patrol and guard the damaged section of KDY. The set their course for the Extolled on Zonama Sekot and blast off into hyperspace. Unfortunately for these new allies, that's not where they end up...

"Well, that was one interesting meeting." Tress tells Khari as they are left alone. He walks to the expansive view port encompassing the wall. Out side was the fleet in the distance and repair ships still working diligently. Every so often you could see starfighters patrolling the area. It was an awesome sight to behold.
Turning back to Khari he looks at her. "You satisfied with how things went down?" he studies her as he asks this. She was of course private, but he wanted to know what she was thinking about this so he could help her plan the next step.
And to show his reservations on things, he tells her honestly. "I feel uneasy about the RGEs interest here. You heard what they said." As soon as the repairs were done, it would be wise to set up new defense measures and send the RGE fleet home. Security would have to be doubled here on Kuat. It will also draw attention to them here and possible miss things out in the Outer Rim.
"Who do you have in mind to run the research team? How are you planning on getting them out of the system without drawing outside attention?" Lets face it, there might be spies aboard the Array itself. Possibly Imperial or other. Teh Vong for instance was a surprise. They could be out roaming the galaxy and the public at large was ignorant of the fact.

Arri released a little squeak of surprise when he patted her bum in what she supposed was dual reassurance and suggestion both. Sliding a look back at him again, her expression mock chiding him, she replied, "I certainly felt that, I will take your word for this then." Returning that wink, she took another look outside the door, still no one, no alarms, no sign of anyone...it was getting late, they wouldn't be hard to spot either.
Best make this quick then.
Now that made her smirk, she remembered it well, it wasn't that long ago she had been sat opposite him in an interrogation cell speaking with him as plainly as she might anyone, things had rather transgressed into something else though, at which point, she could have safely said it was the most interesting meeting she'd had in her entire life. What had come later had been mindblowing to say the least. Her sweetly saccharine smile said it all for her, but she saw little reason not to furnish further. Ah how she hoped they would get some downtime soon, perhaps when they had made it out of system, there were many interesting surfaces to be utilized on a ship after all, it had been her job to recognize them after all.
"And wished to be an insect on the wall no doubt, they lead boring lives. It was possibly the most excitement they have had in months. Barring perhaps this, of course." This, as she had put it, was their little bid for freedom, how things had spiralled this out of control again was beyond her, but here she was, trying, badly, to cover up a mess she had created with her foolishness to begin with.
"The sooner we locate our friend, the sooner we can get back to...well, i'll leave that to your scintillating imagination, I am sure the results will be stimulating."
And just like that he stepped outside the room again, sauntering off at a leisurely pace that was both unhurried and brisk at the same time. She joined him a light-footed second later, and slipped into the corridor beyond. It was here that she noticed the adrenaline most, in those moments she was expected to remain calm, collected and act as if nothing at all was amiss.
They passed one or two people, both times they paid either of them little mind, though Zanear in particular got some curious glances, Falleen being seldom seen outside their homeworld, it was only natural, and little to worry about just yet. Her bare feet drew little attention at all, though she wished for the life of her she had been swathed in the usual garb of a telbun, thus rendering her almost genderless and invisible all at once. Who would remember her then? He was a little more problematic of course, but he seemed to counter that in perfect balance with the charm he exuded wherever he went.
Arri kept her head down at all times, with the majority of the cameras being ceiling or wall bound, the only other thing she need be wary of were MSE droids. The first intersection was coming up, but only the night security would be there, these ones saw so little activity aside from the usual comings and goings to these offices, that she rather hoped the officer on duty was going to be a tad rusty. But with all things Kuati, there was slim chance of that. They head of security themselves was often seen up here just checking on things.
"You know when I said we would need to come up with a plan along the way, you're being awfully quiet, now would be an expedient time to enlighten me on what that is, exactly, because if..." The girl paused mid sentence, having taken one of her small glances up, she observed said officer pass the mouth of the corridoor's end, from one side to the other - it wasn't the head of security. Far from it, this was a recently promoted officer and a junior one at that...had she been intending to remain loyal here, she might have put in a complaint herself, but this definitely worked in their favour.
"Never mind, this is going to be easy..." A little too easy perhaps, she added as an afterthought, but trusted if there was danger, he would have sensed that as he did last time. Did those powers work like that?

"Well, that was one interesting meeting." She had heard Tress say when the Regent and the Yuuzhan Vong had been gone a few moments. Heard, but it didn't register until a few seconds later. Her mind had been on what had just been brokered here.
"Yes, yes it was." She replied dutifully, watching him as he glanced out the huge viewport to observe the clean up, not exactly the best view in the galaxy, she reflected, but their Grey Jedi friend had seen to that.
"Though I have to wonder just how much they will reap the benefits of this in comparison to us. Still, for the time being it is a personal project and KDY will come to no harm through this side endeavour for the time being. A risk, but a worthy one I believe."
He didn't seem so sure, ever cautious as he had been throughout that little exchange, when he wasn't having a little entertaining moment all of his own, she was going to get to that in a moment too, she didn't doubt that he had the interests of herself at heart when he had reservations. The Regent hadn't seemed overly convinced when he had offered his services either. But opinions could be changed with a word in the right ear.
"I feel uneasy about the RGEs interest here. You heard what they said."
"Which part?" Khari asked, a wryness painting her features for the next few seconds, and she cocked one slender eyebrow questioningly, "The slip up that had Kommisar revealing that he'd somehow acquired information regarding our research into the living vessels, or the aspect where he all but exhonourated the Vong?"
Smile still firmly in place she turned back to face Tress directly, pivoting seamlessly on one foot. That was quite the quandry, wasn't it? There were going to be big changes around here, and inquiry after inquiry into where, exactly, their little leak was. It wasn't the first time she had been forced to root out something of this nature, a nasty little problem that reared it's ugly head from time to time. She would just need to keep on top of things, crush this one beneath her heel too, but that was the problem, when it came to Imperial intelligence they were experts at covering their own tracks, leaving little to no trace behind of just how they had gained access to things to begin with. Not unless they simply meant to flatten the place thereafter and that was highly unlikely.
"It was not a decision made lightly, however it may have appeared." She reassured Tress gently, "KDY has a long and colourful history with the Imperials in general, they know what to expect from us just as we do from them, believe me when I say that every eventuality will be or already has been looked into. I had this meeting monitored."
Ah yes, that would make for some interesting viewing, albeit a little awkward at times. Sighing theatrically, she nodded affirmatively, "Yes...everything. And I can already hear several technically minded members of my staff laughing at my 'occular discomfort' thank you very much. "
Reaching out fast she lightly cuffed him around the arm in mock-punishment for that surprise in particular. "And before you ask, they stopped monitoring the second the regent departed. If they didn't I will pay to have their memories erased and replaced with those of an infant ewok before promptly disposing of them on some back water world." Turning to move away, she spun back and nodded "Oh yes, I can do that."
"Who do you have in mind to run the research team? How are you planning on getting them out of the system without drawing outside attention?" He had asked, and that was a far more prudent question, screening would take some time, but she had a few people in mind, those who could keep their mouthes shut.
"Since the current research team will be under investigation, all those mitigated, found innocent for a start. That team was hand picked, which makes it difficult to know just how someone slipped through the net, or if the leak came from far more unusual sources. Why, did you have someone in mind?"
Now that would be interesting, perhaps enlisting the help of the pair, the rather unsettling pair at that, of friends he had used to deal with her little 'Taru' sized problem, to keep an eye on things there, but she doubted it would be necessary, the leak would be plugged by then, she was sure of it.

The pair walked the halls, occasionally passing a small group of people or just a couple walking along. Arri herself got almost no looks, she probably wasn't even recognizable without her telbun attire, and even if she wore that Kuati would look right past her. He, however, was different, and stood out. Falleen weren't exactly common out in the Galaxy, but not such a rarity that people would openly gape. Although that pair of Zeltron pleasure girls did give me the three-times over! he thought to himself. And once upon a time, he'd have dead stopped and followed them, charming his way into a wild night of pleasure. But not now, all his very desires were focused on this wild Kuati telbun, and his life would never be the same.
Realizing that fact he smiled widely, and slowed his step just enough to walk even with her, snaking his left arm around her waist, and guiding her next to him. He kissed her cheek quickly, then mouthed three simple words to her.
And then he let her go, just like that, and took the lead once again. They approached the security corridor, and breezed by it as if nothing was amiss. However, Zanear had learned a neat little trick from a holocron, and when they got close enough, he used it. Concentrating as they drew near the security checkpoint, he tapped into the Force and Flashed the holocoms, causing a brief period of static as they passed by. Since the guard was going the other direction, not really seeing them, and the cameras now didn't pick them up, they could continue on without anyone realizing they had gotten out of that sector. Once they turned the corner, he relaxed, and tossed a wink at her. See? No problem. I have a handful of tricks up my sleeve that can get us past a few items, like holocams and small groups of guards. What we need to do... at this he stopped talking, and a group of obviously drunk Kuati were walking down the hall toward them. Gently grabbing Arri's hand, he pulled her to the right side of the wall, putting his back against it and pressing her body tight against his. He swiftly ran his hands in her hair and started kissing her, very passionately right away, but making it seem they'd been doing it for some time. The group of drunkards moved passed, but a few males snickered and joked, telling us to 'get a room'. Although it seemed to escape their notice, because of the position Arri was in, and the wild length of her now strewn-about hair, that Zanear was, in fact, a non-human. He knew she would be caught by surprise, but better safe then sorry he thought. And really, any excuse to press her body against his...

Well, she was right. This was a worthy project for her and in the end if fruitful, KDY by extension. Though he still had bad feelings over this one. Sighing he kept busy looking out the view port as his thought went over the details from every angle. There was something that didn't fit, not just.....well he didn't know what it was really. "Yeah, i agree.."
He was facing her by this time, reclining on the view ports ledge and just hearing her out. She tended to arrive at things first, knowing all the ins and outs and all the crevices of the political game. While he was just a criminal playing a diplomat. Paid for the bills and all the new suits. "Take your pick. But first and foremost on my mind is what was let slip from the Regents lips." How far did the RGEs grasp going? Did they know about his past or more importantly his goals for the future? "You might need to plug a leak. Information is getting out there. If this project is going to be done, we have to be very careful with things." He tell her walking closer to arrive on the other side of the table from her.
But, to her other comment about the Vong he dismissed. "The Vong and their exoneration is of little concern. I know they hurt Kuat, but lets concentrate on the bigger picture here. They can help KDY research advance years past where they are in a few short weeks. Once that knowledge is viable, then we can worry about other things." it wasn't his place to say that, but the need for this information was greatly needed it things were going to proceed.
The monitoring of the meeting was all her, which made him smile. "Whats that?" He asks wiggling his finger in his ear. "I couldn't hear you."
Laughing at her chiding him be backs up. "Ok, I'm sorry."
"Not really someone in mind. Just wondering how we can getting them off here without drawing attention to them. One person is better then a team disappearing. How about you pick your head researcher from here and the rest come from the Ronay testing facilities. The moon is just out of the way, but close enough to pick them up before heading out of system. Toryaz Station could be the rendezvous and pick up point?" he asks giving her suggestions on how to keep this as low keep as possible. The testing facilities on Ronay where part of KDY, but separate. Instead of taking from the main work force, stripping a few from the subsidiaries could go unnoticed.

She didn't so much as bat an eyelid whoever passed them, but she was very aware of who they were passing exactly, right down to the colour of the garments they wore, or were not wearing in the case of the Zeltron pleasure girls, Zanear drawing their attention in particular, she only allowed herself a little smirk, had there been different set of circumstances to work under, she might have chuckled away there, but her training was to rigid to allow her to let a little thing like that out. They, too, passed without incident. So when they had reached that intersection he was already in confident full swing by the looks of things. If she had been hesitant, his confidence went a long was to exuding a tendril of reassurance in her direction, but her nerves were only down to the simple fact Arri knew just how difficult this should have been, how so few attacks on these offices had ever been effective...nor indeed infiltration unless it had been an inside job. But then, it was an inside job, wasn't it?
The falleen pulled her to his side and she wasn't going to argue, slipping an arm about him also, partially for support, the rest simply because she wanted to, it felt right. A little odd notion considering she'd spent her entire life never really showing or being show that kind of affection. A telbun was circumspect, emotion was one thing divorced from the whole subject of being with another, she was property, little more. Once she has served her purpose she might be called upon to do the same again, if not, the rest of her life would be spent in servitude. Luxurious though her living situation might have been, so few luxuries were afforded to her. Reciprocating this small gesture was a leap or bound in the right direction. And the rest would come the next opportunity they got.
Her smile broadening, she let him take over where the guard ahead was concerned.
What she had not expected was to breeze through as quickly as they had, she didn't know just what Zanear had done, some little trick, a small gesture with one hand, barely noticable and had she not been watching him avidly to wait for a signal, she never would have noticed it at all. The guard, still walking away from them down towards the monitoring room, didn't so much as bat an eyelid when they slipped past light on their feet. The holocams were the things that she had truly been concerned about, yet he didn't seem bothered by them at all. Concerned regardless, she kept her head down as they beat a path across the open hallway, slipping into the corridor on the far hand side, just as she had directed earlier. There would be more holocams at the far end of this one...if they hadn't been spotted already.
"Woah woah...wait!" She hissed, all wide eyed and bother, tugging on his arm when she felt they were a safe distance away not to be heard back in the main atrium, "Tricks? You mean they won't have seen that? What if he goes back and views the footage...if he wonders just what happened to his memory back there?" No, she really did not know how this mind trickery worked, or even if that was what he had used, but was she really willing to take the risk? In time she would learn to become accustomed to such nuances, such methods, but for the time being, if there was some small chance he might miss something, she would need to ask.
Thankfully for her, he had an explanation waiting in the wings, and she had been about to reply to it when they had both heard people approaching from the other end of the corridor....
"Oh stars, please don't let that be Kaur...." Arri murmured to herself, raising a hand to brush back her hair from her face, the stress beginning to take it's toll, why couldn't they be there already? This was all they needed!
Out of nowhere Zanear seemed to spin to face her, and before she knew what was happening, he had her pushed back hard against the unforgiving wall, his hands entangled in her hair, palms cupping her face whilst he pressed his lips, and indeed his body, against her own. She didn't fight it, no matter how initially incredulous she had been, far from it, the incredulity was the only reason she hadn't pulled him closer! Reciprocating in kind, she embraced him, kissing him back with a fiery passion - that, had felt unbelievably good.
At their back the loud group of drunkards passed them, a few crude remarks tossed their way, but that was to be expected, it went hand in hand with the situation and public displays of affection. Breathless when he drew back, she was still a little stunned to say or do anything at first, save to smile with adoration, but inevitably that had been for distractions sake, and when she did turn her gaze upon the retreating group, she breathed a sigh of relief....Kaur was not among them.
"Nice tactics...." the blonde mused through the smile tugging at her lips, and judging by how flushed her complexion was right now, she really meant it. "I will have to remember that one next time we wish to go overlooked."
Disentangling herself from their wall bound embrace, she continued up the hallway, ever closer to their destination, they weren't far now, just a few more meters and they would literally be at his door.
"You're going to need to do that camera trick again, I'm also going to need you to type in a series of instructions into the keypad of that door when we get there....they have my biometrics on file, if the security who were chasing us are worth what their wages suggest, they have already put a trace out on what details they have regarding both of us. That means my retinal, print and anything else you can think of scans, and you? I'd say like you did, they probably have a very good memory when it comes to what you look like." How many Falleen could they say they had seen this week? Not many, that was for sure.
Waving him on, she padded softly up the corridor, bare feet making no sound at all on the now utillity carpeted floor, this would make their approach a little easier, but blind them in terms of hearing as to if someone was coming in the other direction. Thankfully, though, the journey passed without event, and she paused around the side of the entrance archway to Kaur's private offices. This was where the fun truly began.
Shifting her attention to Zanear, she gestured silently towards the archway, when he'd managed to deal with the holocams, then she would explain how to use that keypad.... or he could just rip it off the wall, but that would surely announce their arrival.
In the interest of fun and chaos, she wagered he might do just that for the sake of it.

Laughing ruefully at those choice comments, what was there left to say, he already knew she knew the truth, so when she glared back at him, he did what any self respecting man should do...
With a smile she glanced back at him, holding his gaze evenly for a few moments, then she nodded judiciously, "Hmm, you will be." Casting what appeared to be a critical eye up and down his form, Khari wondered if that would unsettle him or just make him more curious than he already was. He did still have that remote she supposed, but she wasn't one to let a little thing like that come between her and a chance to suggest revenge. A small wink more and she left it at that.
Leaning back against the edge of the table, now facing the spanning viewport herself, she considered this. It was all in hand, she had thought much like he did, but it would all depend on where their leak had come from to begin with, in regards to who they would send. For a start, she didn't even know if they could trust the head of research and development anymore, it would be a matter of working out who had, or required links to imperial intelligence. She had already one such suspect in mind, but it seemed too obvious and therefore ridiculous at the same time. Which was what made him perfect for working out the true source of the dataflow so to speak.
"Because we do not know if the leak came from one such subsidary. The R&D team here travels, the rotations happen throughout the system and it served their purpose not to keep everything in one place, unfortunately this increased our chances of making things difficult to plug if there ever was a leak, but the team that were chosen, I cannot honestly see how this got back to the RGE." Sighing, she stretched tiredly, she was smarter than this, where could it be coming from? In any case, she wasn't about to let them know more than they did already. "I think I know who might be able to shed some light on this, in fact, the situation he is in right now, one could go as far to say as he might even be eager."
Leaning back, she reached out with one slender arm, to the inset pannel at the head of the elongated table, depressing a small touchpad there. When the voice of her secretary answered, Khari responded swiftly, pleasantly enough. "Get Colonel Klask up here would you? I have something he'll want to hear."
Without waiting for the response she closed the connection and pushed up and off the table's edge, sauntering over to Tress again, who still remained by the viewport watching, literally, the world go by. Tired, she looked down at the celestial world turning slowly beneath them, oh to be down there instead of up here right now. So close, but yet so far and there never was any rest for those who wished to remain one step ahead of everything. With one hand she reached out, slipping her arm through his and drawing him closer, the first piece of real contact they'd had in almost a day.
"And you are right about not trusting the Regent completely, I only hope I wasn't that transparrent in my facade? Still, it wouldn't hurt to keep an equal eye on our investment and new business partners...would it?"

He scoffed at that, knowing retribution would be forthcoming. It was fun and kept them both on their toes. But he was preoccupied with other things. He did watch her as he thought, then looked out the view port and sighed. Well that was one way to keep employees in check, never keep them long enough to know something. The result was a huge puzzle with missing information. Though it also made finding the leak harder for them. Checking all of them would take weeks, then investigating longer. There had to be another way to plug the source. When she called for The Colonel he raised an eyebrow. What did he have to do with things? Could she mean he might know? Well he was friendly with the RGE, but what did he know of the projects KDY had been conducting. The Kages living ship. That was the key, maybe. "What are you thinking, Khari? You think one of his men let slip something, or him personally?"He smiled as she reached for him, tilting his head towards hers at they watched the world down below. Kissing her temple he stays there as he hears what she had to say. Kissing her again he pulls her in front of him and wraps her in his arms. "You werent and I know the feeling. Somethings up there. Urai and Siara arent far off. Want me to send them to follow the Regent. Give them a LightStealth-18 Reconnaissance Ship....." starwars.wikia.com/wiki/LSR_LightStealth-18_Reconnaissance_Ship

After he had arrived, Technician-Captain Blinski had for the better part of a half hour been subjected to critical questioning about the status of sensor sweeps and electronic countermeasures in H sector. He did not have much to go on since that was an area he had very little to deal with, but now it has fallen to him to gather his team of communication specialists and slicers to go through that whole sector with a fine toothed comb. With all of the other chaos that had occurred recently most of his team had been regulated to other more mundane duties.
Just as Blinski is thanking his lucky star that he has a real piece of work to tackle, the Colonel's com goes off. The Colonel answers it gruffly, then blanches slightly and responds in a totally uncharacteristic tone of voice. "Please inform her I am on my way."
Klask leaves Blinski to see himself out and heads for the Executive Headquarters, hoping that the CEO's mood has improved following her meeting with the Imperials. As he boards the transport and shows his clearance to the pilot, he sits back and wondering if in the next 15 minutes he will be hailed as a hero, or executed as a traitor. His mind wanders, oscillating between speculating at what Blinski will find; and wondering if there is someone with cross-hairs on his head.
