Filling out and submitting your character sheet:
It is pretty basic, but here are some guidelines to consider:
Name and Gender should be self explanatory, I would hope
Race: Currently races are open to any SW-EU race that still exists, or plausibly does between the years of ABY-30 and ABY-45
A good place to consult and use as a guideline is:
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Humanoid
This site uses Wookieepedia as a standard and resource. Yes there are better sources than Wookieepedia, but we have chosen to use that as the baseline since it is available to all.
Age: Use an appropriate age for the race of your character.
Faction: This is what organization you belong to. Example, you wish to make a Jedi who is a member of the Jedi order currently, you would specify Jedi or Jedi order. If you wanted to make one that was not tied with the order, you would leave it blank or put Independent.
Force Sensitive: If your character has force abilities or you plan to use them in the future, pick Yes. If you never expect to use them choose no. Please note your choice must be valid for your race, for example all Yuuzhan Vong are not force sensitive by default.
Appearance: This line is for use to describe your character in a paragraph or two, what they most often wear, how they style their hair, particular mannerisms, expressions. This is for you to flesh out the details and tie them together for the indented items you find right below it on the character sheet. Those are listed separately so they are easy for others to find and as reminders for your benefit.
NPCs: Recurring NPC type characters that are tied to that character.
These are typically droids, children, pets, personal assistants/slaves, minions, close relatives. NPCs listed with a character are "owned" by that character, as "owner" you have the deciding say who controls them, they are not allowed to be GodModded by other players without your express permission.
If you think that you will be playing an NPC you choose to list a lot, independently from the character it is tied too, you may wish to create an actual character sheet for them as an PC.
Personality:
Please include at least a brief explanation of how your character usually acts and interacts with the denizens of the galaxy. Concepts like personal beliefs, codes of honor, alignment, philosophy, religion. When someone reads this section, they should be able to tell if your character is a "serious and brooding individual", or the "out-going, slap-happy class clown sort" Also it serves to use as a guideline to yourself for references when your having a hard time "staying in character" or have "writer's block".
Weapons/Equipment:
This does not have to be an exhaustive list of every weapon and piece of gear your character owns, but it should include:
Weapons your character carry regularly
Items & devices you carry regularly
Weapons, Items, or Devices of unusual nature, for example; you own several lightsabers, you have an exotic weapon, your character owns a holocron, you have a piece of tech that is outside what would be normal for your character type.
Ship:
If you own your own ship or have one assigned to your character by an order of organization for their personal use, list it and at the very least the basics of it here. Please refer to Wookieepedia for standard types as a base. Specific canon ships (the Millennium Falcon, Slave 1, The Executor, etc) are not allowed. At the very least put down your ship type and what you call it.
History:
This is where you tell what transpired in your character's life prior to starting RP; how they got where they were, notable events, things that shaped who they are and what they can do up to this point. Your Back-story.
Role-Play Experience:
Just in basic, are you new to this, of are you a veteran of RP in general. What is your other game experience. This is not to limit you in the least but as a que for staff and the other players to lend a hand if we see someone who might be new to the whole deal and having a rough time getting going.
Skills:
Currently there is no set skill list or rules about skills. However, if your character is gifted or skilled in something beyond what one would expect, list it out here at least in general. If your character knows how to repair a hyperdrive using duct-tape and a penny, this is where you would notate it. Your a crack shot with a blaster-pistol, notate it.
Force Powers:
At current time the formal list, breakdown and description has not been finalized and published (yeah, I know that makes it difficult) but due to the nature of the force and how it can so easily impact a SL and the potentials for there to be concerns raised, were implementing an approval system from the outset. In this section of your character sheet/bio list out the force powers you see your character possessing at the time you start RPing. One of our hihly-trained customer assistance beings will get with you, and go over that list to be included in a non-editable thread in your character folder.
The individuals reviewing powers are looking for things that are over-powered, rare, or out of place for the character you created. If your making a reasonable and balanced character that is consistent or plausible within the SW-EU then there is a high probability that you may get your list approved without question. However, if you are trying to re-create someone of the status of Yoda, who happens to know a lot of dark-side powers as well (since in your back-story you fell to the dark-side and then recovered years ago...) then expect lots of questions and probably being told no for a lot of them.
Unusual Abilities:
Things that are outside our other categories that need notation.
An example would be Yuuzhan Vong that have been shaped in a manner that enhances their ability. (Has a firebug shaped into his arm so he has a built in flamethrower). Your race is naturally telepathic, but your not a force user. These are the sort of things to detail here, obvious things like listing out a wookiee has strength significantly greater than a human, do not need detailing here.
Unusual Items:
Like Unusual Abilities above, but for items. There is some duplication with the instructions for Weapons/Equipment but for those special things, further detail them here. If it is a "artifact" and has an entry on Wookieepedia, popping in a link to it here is an excellent, and appreciated addition.
