As Shadow is using his lightsaber to cut the lock off the emergency door, two men clad in Hotel security uniforms round the corner and begin to approach Chantia and Shadow. The larger of the two men approaching, who could be Dantooian judging by his size, yells down the hall with all the vigor and authority you'd expect from a security guard. "HEY YOU TWO, STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND GET OVER HERE, THAT'S ROYAL CASINO PROPERTY!Shadow pauses slightly hearing the loud mouth yelling at them. "Oh great. Here comes security." He mutters. Glancing at Chantia he nods his head indicating the two in uniform approaching them. Shaking his head, he continues to cut through the door with his lightsaber. "Almost done." He finishes cutting through the bolt and pulls his lightsaber out of the door. He stands up and faces the two security guards. He raises an eyebrow. "Really? You think you are going to tell us both what to do? You've got another thing coming." He brandishes his activated lightsaber and looks at them. "I don't take orders from anyone except my Emperor and sure as hell don't take orders from simple minded security guards like you." He concentrates lightly into the Force and senses something deceptive about them. He glances at Chantia. "Chantia, my dear. What do you think we should do about them?" |

When the two supposed security guards come around the corner and start to approach them Chantia watches them with a raised eyebrow. One looks rather on the large size no doubt he is use to using his size to intimindate people well he was in for a surprise if he thought that would work on her or Shadow.
We got compan... she starts to say to Shadow when they yell.
"Yeah so I see." She rubs her ears. "I'm not deaf or I wasn't until they started yelling... " She mutters half to herself. She then says in answer Good. Because here comes the goon squad. She steps to one side as Shadow finishes to give him room to move.
Chantia nearly laughs at the expressions on the face of the two "security guards" when Shadow turns around with his activated lightsaber in his hand. She nods at his words to them that's telling these two petty little minions what's what. She glances at Shadow when she senses him using the Force probably trying to get a read on the two security guards. She doesn't know about him but she is sensing something a little off about them. They don't act like normal security she has ever encountered.
She says with smirk to Shadow in answer to his question.
"Well now my dear Shadow I think they should apologize for yelling at two guests who are only trying go get a drink. They should maintain their equipment better or we wouldn't have to damage it just to use the stairs, don't you think?" She rests a hand on the handle of her blaster ready to grab if she needs it. While she unclips her lightsaber with the other hand.

She says with smirk to Shadow in answer to his question. "Well now my dear Shadow I think they should apologize for yelling at two guests who are only trying go get a drink. They should maintain their equipment better or we wouldn't have to damage it just to use the stairs, don't you think?" She rests a hand on the handle of her blaster ready to grab if she needs it. While she unclips her lightsaber with the other hand. Shadow's eyes begin to glow a crimson red color and easily removes his black hooded cloak revealing what he's wearing; a black pair of pants and a black shirt. He glances at Chantia and smirks. "I agree. I'm just dying for a drink too, but seems to me we were stuck here on this floor due to a strange lock-down this place is having." He looks back at the demolished lightsaber cut door and looks back at the security goons. "Oops, did you expect me to pay for that?"One of the guards then removes a small hold-out blaster pistol and points it at Shadow. "Who said anything about paying for damages? Then again, who said anything about doing anything?" He takes a step towards Shadow. The Dantooian glares at Chantia and pulls out a small vibro-dagger. "I'm not apologizing for anything. You two are coming with us. Quietly or we'll have to use force." He starts to approach Chantia pointing the dagger at her. |

At that moment, the real goons that were sent by Theefe come around the corner and spot the group has grown and is armed. They open fire on the dynamic duo and the hotel guards with medium repeating blaster rifles, knowing there is little room to escape the barrage, the goons fill the hallway with blaster fire and shoot the guards dead in the opening shots of the fight. It would appear that the security guards were in fact employees of the hotel...

Chantia feels a surge in darkside energy come from Shadow as his eyes start to glow red. She mentally shakes her head at the stupidity of the two goons. They really should have apologized. She knew Shadow's reputation and she had read the reports on a few of his missions that Ire had given her access to, great reading. Even without his Force power Shadow was a formidable opponent. He was highly skilled in both martial arts and as well as all types of weapons. Then when you add his Force skills on top of that it was no wonder he was the Emperor's top assassin. They really should have apologized. She thinks as she returns his smirk with a wink.
Chantia gives a small chuckle at his last statement. "True, most odd a lock-down and no annoucement why. I say it is very suscpicious. How do we know that they are even real security?"

She raises an eyebrow when the one guard pulls out a small hold-out blaster on Shadow. "Things are about to get interesting. Does he really think that thing is going to scare some one like Shadow?" She thinks with amused look.
Chantia takes one look at the small vibro-knife the Dantooine guard pulls out and she bursts out laughing. "Where did you get that toy?" She looks over at Shadow . "Hey, Shadow this guy mugged some kid and took his toy knife." She says still chuckling.
"Use force? Now that is a lovely idea. Don't you think so, Shadow?" She starts to draw on the Force but before she can do anything that is when she feels a tremor of danger in the Force just before Theefe's goons round the corner and start shooting their blasters killing the two real guards. Shadow! Danger! She pulls her lightsaber and ignites it as she ducks for whatever cover there is in the hall as the goons start to shoot. She has momentary tinge of compassion for the two who were killed but immediately dismisses them from her mind when her survival becomes more important and immediate.

He is about to reply when suddenly a surge of Dark Side energy hits him as his battle precognition kicks in. As soon as Theefe's goons open fire, he leaps into the air and calling on the Force, flips backwards in the air landing about ten feet behind the goons.
"Dammit, those were real security guards. That's just great." He mutters shaking his head. Concentrating on the goon on the left, he uses the Force and pulls hard on the blaster, in an attempt to rip it out of his hands.
He keeps an eye on Chantia and sees her duck behind what little cover there is and then ducks as blaster fire rips above his head.

One of the guards feels a strong tug on his rifle from Shadow's use of the Force and it flies out of his hand, had the shoulder not been wrapped around the thug's arm the blaster rifle might have come free completely. The thug regains his grip on his weapon and opens fire again, the other thug begins to use the wall for cover and begins moving forward as the other thug hugs the other wall and cover's him. The thugs are trying to push them away from the door so they don't escape.

Chantia gives a grimace at Shadow's comment. "Oh, that is just great. The Emperor is not going to be pleased when he hears about it." She thinks. "This must be why he sent me and the others here to try and prevent whatever they are after from happening." She looks around trying to figure out what she should do next besides not getting shot.
While Shadow and Theefe's goon are having their tug of war and the goons are distracted by Shadow's actions, Chantia reaches out with the Force and grabs the small vibro knife that the real security guard dropped when he was killed. When she sees the one thug trying to sneak down the hall using the wall as cover she sends the knife straight at his head hoping to at the least distract him long enough to make the doorway and better cover. She uses her light saber to try and deflect the blaster fire back at the thugs as she moves toward the doorway.

When Shadow sees the rifle slip from his grip but get caught on his shoulder because of the strap he growls angrily. "Dammit." He mutters. He quickly ducks as the goon opens fire on him again.
Using his lightsaber to deflect blaster fire, he remembers the dead security guards. Tapping into the dark side of the Force, he uses the Force to telekinetically lift the Dantooian corpse a couple of feet into the air. While the goon is distracted by firing at him, he pulls on the corpse's body hard, directed at him, in an attempt to either trip him up or knock him to the ground.
He then sees and feels Chantia using the Force to throw the vibro knife and smirks when he sees its trajectory at the other goon's head. Seeing her try and head for the stairwell door, he begins to make his way to join up with her.

The thug dealing with Shadow keeps firing even as the Force-user levitates a body in front of him to use as a shield. The thug is forced to stop firing and duck into the hall as Shadow sends the Dantooine's body sailing through the air at him. The thug dealing with Chantia is doing his best to kill the Zeltron spy when the vibroblade she throws finds its target and embeds itself in the terroist's skull between his eyes. Knowing that he's out matched, the goon runs away and heads back to inform the high ups of the slight problem that has appeared in their path.

Chantia gives a smirk when she sees Shadow levitate the Dantooine's body with the Force and throw it at the goon firing at him. The smirk becomes even more pronounced just as she makes the door, she sees the knife she threw at the other goon had hit its mark "dead on" between the eyes.
"Well, well isn't that nice. The toy worked. I think I just acquired a new toy." Seeing that the other goon is distracted she takes a chance and walks over quickly to the dead goon. She pulls out the knife from his skull and wipes it on his shirt before sticking it in her other boot. She holds her lightsaber at the ready just in case.
That is when the other goon decides to cut and run finally figuring out that he picked a fight with the wrong two people and is outmatched.
"Shadow! He is running! If he gets away he will bring reinforcements. We need to stop him or get out of here fast!" She says as she comes up level with Shadow's position.
