Rishi was the home-world of the avian Rishii, as well as a number of fundamentalist followers of the H'kig religion who colonized the planet in 60 BBY. Many smugglers used this planet as a base.
This ended with the actions of Lotva Shai, who destroyed the planet with the technique known as Yo'gan's Core.
The system was devastated following the destruction of the planet, and for many years it was practically abandoned except for a scattering of minor shadow ports operated by smugglers.
This too came to an abrupt end when several fleets entered the system and ruthlessly exterminated the smugglers caught there.
Those that enter the system are never heard from again.
