Yavin 4 - Jedi Meditation Gardens

The Meditation Gardens of the Yavin IV Jedi Temple were lush meditative retreats in which members of the Jedi Order could visit at any time of the day or night while at the Temple.

Situated on various levels of the Temple Ziggurat and within the four Council Spires, the meditation gardens were generally cool, sun-drenched chambers in which Jedi could meditate amongst the foliage and trickling streams. Filled with dense foliage and moist grottoes, benches lined dirt and stone paths that cut through the jungle-like chambers. In one of the gardens, a fish-filled pond connected to a sandy beach, while butterflies fluttered over the gently lapping waters.

On the rooftop of the Ziggurat were at least eight large gardens located in the architecture that jutted out from the pyramid of the Temple. Clerestories formed the ceilings of these gardens and access to the Ziggurat's broad rooftop plaza was gained through three broad doorways. In one of the gardens, a sandpit near a towering tree was filled with pink stones which were gently balanced upon each other, inducing a very calming atmosphere.

~She walks in here and waits on Jor to catch up~

*Janus enters the garden and sits down next to Jade.*

Master, this epidemic thing is serious. What can we do to help the people on Coruscant?

[Jade Albright]

~She looks up and pats the stone neck to her.~
I can only do what I am allowed to do Jor. We have our orders from Master Nick. We are to stay here and make sure no one gets sick here and then try to find a cure for what ever this virus is.
~She looks off at the water.~
Big deaths like this are felt every where in the force. We are all connected Jor.

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*Janus looks down at the ground.*

I know. I could feel the deaths even as Nick announced what happened. I'll be happy to help with finding the cure if you would like.

[Jade Albright]

~She touches his shoulder and nods.~
It is a hard thing to feel. As for Viruses. Most lately have been made not by nature and that makes them like very hard puzzles to find the cure for. I welcome your help Jor. Tell me what your feeling?

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*Janus thinks to himself for a moment.*

Well, it seems to me that if this virus was man made, then somebody was deliberately trying to harm the people of Coruscant and strike some sort of blow to the Galactic Alliance. I think that in addition to finding a cure, we need to figure out who did this and stop them before they strike again.

[Jade Albright]

~She nods~

Fist part is complicated second part even more complicated. Jor we are not the police. We can only help and take action when we are asked other wise we become dictators. It is a fine line we Jedi walk.
~She stands and walks along the waters edge. She motions him over. She places the tip of her finger in the water and ripples start small and then spread..~

Remember Jor we are all ripples and everything we do touches everything. We have to be careful so very careful.
~She looks momentarily tired then shakes it off.~

Where were we on your training Jor?

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*Janus listens as Jade speaks. He had never thought about the situation that way and nods as Jade explains that the Jedi walk a fine line. He watches and listens as she uses the water to help explain her point.*

I believe I was preparing to build my lightsaber.

[Jade Albright]

~She groans.~

Oh my the old temple we went and you got your crystals. Now we need to put them together.
~She points to the rock on the edge of the pond..~

Sit there and see if you can feel and connect all the crystals.

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*Janus pulls out his crystals and reaches for them in the Force and begins to connect them together. His crystals float in front of him and line up with each other and begin to interact.*

TTF: Is this what my crystals should be doing, Master?

[Jade Albright]

~She closes her eyes and smiles.~

TTF: Now put a little of you into them so they are attuned to you.

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*Janus reaches out to his crystals and begins to infuse himself into them. He can feel his connection to them growing. He can feel every intricate detail of his crystals and can even feel how each crystal's distinct properties bolsters him in the Force.*

[Jade Albright]

~She leans back watching him.~

TTF Let me know when your done

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*After a few minutes, Janus feels himself fully in tune with his crystals.*

TTF: Master, I'm finished.

[Jade Albright]

~She stands and moves to him.~
Where is your hilt?
~She holds out her hand.~

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*Without breaking his concentration, Janus reaches into his backpack and pulls out the hilt for his lightsaber. It has a curved hilt and was silver and black with bronze plating around the bottom of the hilt. Janus placed the hilt in Jade's hand.*

Here it is, Master. I'm attuned to the crystals. What do I do next?

[Jade Albright]

~She vibrates the emitter lens with the force and nods.~
Good now place the crystals slowly and I do mean slowly in the hilt.
~She flips the hilt up and lets him take it back.~

[Jorj'anu'sabosen]

*Janus takes the hilt of his blade into his right hand and nods as Jade instructs him to very slowly and carefully insert his crystals onto the hilt. Using his skills learned as a physician, he very slowly and steadily begins inserting the first of the three crystals. The crystal settles into its place with no problems and Janus can sense that the crystal in correctly. He continues with the second crystal, keeping it very steady with the Force as he inserts it. The second crystal also settles into its place securely and Janus moves on to the last crystal. He eases it carefully into the hilt and it settles in to its place. Janus double-checks to make sure that all three crystals are in the correct place. After feeling confident that they are, he looks over at Jade.*

Master, I've finished inserting the crystals.

[Jade Albright]

~Her hand comes out and the hilt floats to it. Taking a deep breath her body seems to have a slight glow. Her eyes swirl silver and green and she looks at the saber. Making a couple adjustments she smiles.~
Wonderful, I am proud of you. May I ignite it?
