The Galactic Alliance Outer Rim Defense Fleet Number 6 Drops out of Hyperspace at the edge of the Kal'Shebbol system.
Immediately the fleet begins its planetward progress, the tasks of the individual ships laid out on the long hyperspace trip out here.
The wedge formation breaks up positioning themselves for an interdiction role and to lock down the traffic and disrupt communications.
There is the usual brief exchange on coms traffic between the Interim Government, those who seek to replace the benevolent and democratic rule of the Alliance with that of the merciless dictatorship of Ire the Tyrant.
Fleet Commander Y'Ossen stalks the floor ahead watching the tactical displays, one of the junior officers alerts the fighter wings for launch, as another directs the other cruisers to engage the pathetic defense fleet that remains after the acts of sabotage the Governor managed to have his remaining forces pull off prior to their arrival.
The arcs of turbolaser fire erupt from the vessel of the Imperial supporters, in it answered by coordinated volleys form the Republic Class cruisers, quickly stripping it of shields, armaments and the ability to maneuver.
Within a short matter of hours, the situation has changed dramatically. While the planet itself is still under the control of the separatist scum, The space and skies above it are firmly back in Alliance control.

*The fleet drops out of hyperspace and Sam goes to the Bridge to watch all the happens. He makes mental notes of everyone's reaction when it came to push and shove.* Captain looks like the GA got here before us.
Captain: Indeed. *he turns to the communications officer* Lt switch me a secure channel with the the command ship of the GA.
*the Lt pushes a few buttons and connects the call with the GA* This is Captain Roy of the RGE I would like to ask you to stand down.
If you don't stand down we will have to open fire for the defense of the people of this planet. It has been clear that this planet has protested about the GA and would like to be part of the RGE.

The image of Commander Y'Ossen comes up on screen, his fine N'agi features clearly visible.
"This is Commander Y'Ossen of the 8th fleet, This is an internal matter of the Alliance. I suggest you tuck your tail back between your legs and go home to your Tyrant. You have no business in Alliance territory, nor no legal justification. Your very presence is considered an act of war by the standing treaties. But I would be more than happy to oblige you if you seek to push the Alliance into open war."
He looks back over his shoulder to an officer off-screen.
"If they have not begun maneuvering their way out of system in 10 seconds, open fire. End the transmission."
The screen fades to blank.

One of the Nebula class destroyers maneuvers into a position to engage the two Gladiator Class Destoryers, locking tractor beams onto them, it settles into position engaging in a medium range slug-fest with them.
The Mon Gries, fires its thrusters altering its course to bring it into position to engage the Malignant. A handful of the MC30 frigates turn from their holding stations to engage the screening ships of Sam's task-force.

As the battle erupts into a full fledged engagement, the GA Frigates, Lesshim, Manx II, and Gallen VI arrive on station and begin hammering the RGE Frigates from long range, The shots from the Dark Star II upon them hampered by the presence of the RGE Frigates between the two sides.
The fighters are little more than an annoyance to the Nebula class vessel, the Douliss II. Its own squadrons of fighters already deployed in operations to subdue the planet below, only the point defense emplacements guard against the attack runs of the RGE bombers, who extract a heavy toll upon the vessel, weakening its shields significantly. But even as it weakens the heavy turbolaser and ion cannons ruthlessly pound the two gladiators repeatedly. The strength of the Nebula class still was more than an even match for the two gladiators, vessels half it's size and designs 25 years older.
As it crosses the distance the Mon Greis opens up with it's heavy batteries against the Malignant, the gunners primary targets those blasted SIC emplacements. The green and blue bolts lance out, streaking the intervening blackness of space with their colorful trails.

The shields of the Douliss II, engaged with the Dark Star II and the Defiant begin to fail, explosions along sections of the hull illuminate the darkness of the nearby space, but the concentrated fire from the vessels batteries ruthlessly pound the two RGE crusiers. As the RGE fleet changes targeting profiles yet again, the gunners of the two gladiator vessels are apparently confused and fail to press the advantage as the Douliss II comes ever closer engaging the two ships at now point-blank-range. Held until this time, the Assault concussion missile turrets track their respective targets carefully and then open fire, the distance between the vessels much too close for their to be time for effective countermeasures. The concentrated firepower should be more than enough to put one if not both ships out of commission, especially considering the pounding both vessels have already endured from the turbo-laser batteries. Meanwhile, the Mon Greis closing in upon the Malignant is impacted by the remaining active SICs on the RGE SD. As fire from the Malignant pours in, the heavy armor of the older style vessel absorbs a significant amount of the damage, had this been a vessel that relied more upon shielding than armor, as many of the new vessels tend to do, the results would have been far more disastrous. But as it was, internal secondary explosions rip through parts of the command structure, hampering emergency repair efforts and temporarily knocking out direct helm control. The volley from the Darkstar II, catches it from behind, having cut deeply into the RGE skirmish line, and with the Mon Greis's shields unbalanced, having been set for the headlong assault upon the Malignant, large sections of the communications array erupt into fireballs and plumes of debris. The GA Corvettes, far beyond the now entangled battle line are well protected by the very long range, all of them had been engaged in operations to secure the planet, thus were hovering in very low orbits. The missed shots taken by the Defiant continue onwards and streak down on the various population centers creating significant collateral damage. The GA frigates pursue the RGE frigates and hammer upon their aft shields as they break line and head towards the planet, intent on engaging the corvettes. The commander of the Nee'sha, recalls two squadrons of his fighters from their operations on the planet, in just a short while they will be refueled and rearmed, their weapon load-outs switched from ground attack to space-to-space combat. Soon he will be the time he turns his vessel and will be able to pound the remains of the RGE fleet into submission.

*All forces continue to attack their targets. the ships targeting the corevtts take on enemy fire. they take tremendous amount of damage but stay in the fight.*
Sam: Captain this is rediculas your going to lose this if you keep up at this. Captain Roy: LT Milla don't tell me how to do my job. *He turns and looks out the view screen ignoring Sam*
*Sam sits down and enters a battle meditation for what it's worth. The RGE forces begin firing more rapidly but also more accurate The pilots of the bombers and fighters reation time increases and the begin flying, shooting, and manuevering better with increased reaction time. The Mon Greis drifts ever closer to the Malignant, its remaining batteries unloading upon the SIC emplacements, the concentrated fire hopefully rendering their terrible effectiveness void.
The Douliss II looses a significant portion of shielding as the array of generators fail under the barrage from the bombers making coordinated runs. Its crew though presses on and the unleashes another barrage of assault missiles into both the Dark Star II and the Defiant, their demise imminent.
As the chase of the RGE frigates continues, the Nee'sha breaks it holding station and lays in a course to engage the frigates as they close towards the planet.

*The frigates stay on course but begin breaking apart as the toll from the unanswered fire tears them apart. As the chunks of the ship enters the atmospher the begin to burn up into nothing becoming no threat to the planet's population. One of the frigates stay intact, Trying to get in range and open fire on the correvetts.*
*As the frigates are destroyed Sam can feel the deaths of many in the force. His anger increases. He stands and walks up to the Captain throwing a punch to the man's face*
Sam: Captain you have failed those that just died and the Emperor. You will surely pay for this.
*Sam puts the captain in a force choke*
Captain Roy: Lt Milla release me or you will be under arrest for treason!
Sam: Treason? No sir I'm sorry to say it is you that will be punished what idiot let you graduate from the academy.
*Sam draws his saber then decapitates the Captain. Sam points at a cleaning crew*
You there clean up this mess.
*Sam takes control of the of the fleet or what remains and orders all fighters and bombers that didn't launch to launch. The second flight of bombers, directed to start working on the Mon Greis and Douliss II.
The fighters though had a grimmer fate Sam orders them to intercept the missiles heading for the Defiant and Dark Star II either shooting the missiles or crashing into them.*
*However it is too late, and the Dark Star II is the first to go. Its shields stripped by the Ion and Turbolaser fire, before they moved on to hammering other systems in a ruthlessly efficient but predictable pattern, The first salvo of the concussion missiles had slammed into the ship breaching deep into the hull before exploding. More than enough to cripple the ship into a floating hulk, the second salvo was just salt rubbed into the wound with a stiff wire brush. They never even get off a communication or an abandon ship order, with a flash of light the power core goes and the Dark Star II is no more, its violent death flashing bright enough that Sam covers his eyes on the bridge of the Malignant.*
Sam: Get the Defiant out of there!
*His words trail off as the second salvo targeting the Defiant impacts, along with the leading edge of the shock-wave from the explosion of the Dark Star II. While its death is not quite as violent as that of the Dark Star II, its hull fails as gouts of flame explode out the far side of the ship, large sections breaking off as the spine of the warship is cracked like the bones of a taun-taun being savaged by a rancor.*
*Chaos reigns for several moments as the squadron leaders comm in for new orders, the sheer number of craft being more than the hangers of the Malignant can carry. Their fate looks grim as Sam contemplates retreating from the battle, his forces decimated.*
Sam: Plot us a route to retreat to the outer system, we are outnumbered, cut communications traffic and get me a priority channel to the Atrocity!
*Sam walks over to the com station, nearly falling as a violent explosion rocks the command room, as a tech yells out the damage report.*
Tech: Sir! we just lost our last SIC emplacement, they have nearly hammered through our shielding, and we only have a couple functional laser canons left, they have stripped us of the ability to fire back!
*With the yelling and occasional electrical explosion in the background, Sam sends his message*
Sam: Admiral T'uulk, this is Lt. Sam Milla. I was leading a task force to Kal'Shebbol, but have met a superior Alliance fleet. The situation looks bleak, we are trying to maneuver a retreat before we loose another ship, but it looks like we will be cut off. I request immediate reinforcement!
*The Malignant shakes again as the com cuts off. Sam looks questioningly at the com-tech, only to find that he is slumped forward bleeding over the com-controls with a section of ceiling rafter protruding from his back.*

The explosion of the Dark Star II and the Defiant take a further toll upon the already battered warship Douliss II. It begins to drift, its main engines offline from the significant damage.
Many of the lights upon the Mon Gries flicker then go and the volume of fire from the ship falls to sporadic blasts as its guncrews wait for their weapons to cycle. The constant strafing runs by the fighters have been more than damage control crews can deal with and many of the power systems vent their plasma into empty space.
Out by the planet itself, the Nee'sha now under full thrust alters its course slightly to continue on to engage the Malignant, determined to cripple the vessel and take its crew back to Coruscant in chains. As it passes the remaining RGE frigate, it unleashes a concentrated volley of turbo-laser fire, more than sufficent to cut the ship in two and breach its power-core. After 2 long years of duty out here in the Outer Rim fighting pirates and local warlords, the crew of the Nee'sha is eager to engage a real ship like the Malignant.

Sam pulls out his comlink on a secure channel and orders one squadron leader to relay his orders for bombers left suddenly targets the bridge and the engins of the Nee'sha. Sam also orders fighters to open fire on any enemy fighters or bombers If any of the fighters had missles they were to target the Nee'sha's Turbo laser cannons. If these pilots were going to die they were going to die in honor. The Magilant starts making it's retreat. Sam also orders a raiding party to get to their stations on board a boarding craft. The craft sits in the hanger waiting for orders.*
Sam: Get the best engineers on board to the sheild generator and make sure it doesn't fail. Also get some engineers to the engin room and life support rooms. Make sure those don't take any damage.
*A messenger carries the orders and teams of engineers get started on their task*

As the Nee'sha heads to the Malignant, the first squadron of E-wings launch, freshly refueled and rearmed from their operations against targets on Kal'Shebbol, preparing to intercept the reorganized remnants of the inbound RGE squadrons.
The guncrews of the heavy turbolaser batteries prep their weapons and wait as the gap closes until they are in effective range of the Malignant.
The occasional blast from the Douliss II and the Mon Greis are fired at the Malignant, but it is far from a proper battle now as the crews of all three vessels struggle to keep critical systems like life support and shields in operation.
A relief crewman approaches the commander of the Mon Greis, who is sitting in his chair blotting a wound on the side of his head, to staunch some of the bleeding and keep it out of his eyes.
"Sir, we have two new contacts, behind us, frigate sized. They just appeared sir, there was no energy signature from them dropping out of hyperspace and they are headed straight towards us. They are not ours, nor does it seem they are Imperial either.

*The Fighter pilots engage the E-Wings doing their best to take out the enemy. Bombers still continue to unload their payloads but they targetthe Douliss II targeting the hangers and the bridge. At one squadron at a time the fighter return to the Magelant to refeul and rearm. squdron takes 10 minutes each to land and take back off. Just like the Fighters the bombers also take shifts in refueling and rearming.*
Tech: Sir we are picking up to be 2 civilain ships behind the alliance they are not ours or theres. Orders sir?
Sam: Notify them to stay clear of the battle field unless they just feel like attacking the alliance. I don't control their fate, They do. After you make that call get our ship communications back up ASAP * The tech does so but with his comlink. Then contacts a team of engineers*

Sensors aboard the Atrocity show that all but one of the RGE ships sent to defend the Pro-Imperial voices crying out planetside, it appears that Milla is lucky to have survived this long. Sharing a look with one another, Ire doesn't have to say a word to the Grand Admiral, Tuulk begins doing what he does best. "Target the GA flagship bridge and destroy it, deploy our starfighters and gravity wells, keep the support ships from escaping, destroy everything..."Tuulk's orders are followed without hesitation, the Atrocity's SICs and heavy turbolasers open up at close range. Several rows of SICs are aimed directly at the GA flagship's bridge to make short work out of it and to cut the head off the snake in quick order. Seismic charges are launched from the Atrocity into the path of any incoming enemy fighters to keep them at bay as the fighter and bomber squadrons deploy in full force to destroy the enemy. Ire isn't sitting idly by as operations commence, he is sitting in the command chair stretching out with the dark side to enhance and coordinate the movements of his men in battle to give his forces an overwhelming edge. If Ire had been on any other ship, this feat would be impossible to complete having given so much energy to create the seal on Korriban but lucky for him the Atrocity is a dark side nexus all its own.

On the bridge of the Mon Greiss, the Operations officer's eyes go wide as he identifies the third new contact that appeared.
"Commander! The Atrocity has just appeared! How the hell did it do that? Its right on top of us!"
Horrified the commander stands and starts to shout orders. "Full aft, send and alert to all vess...."
And that was all that was ever heard as the blue-white bolts of the SICs vaporized the remaining plating protecting the bridge and tore deep pits deep into the superstructure of the craft. Seconds later secondary explosions rip large portions of the ship apart, but before it can break up completely a blinding white flash results as the powercore goes critical from the damage and explodes.
The Doulass II has an even bigger problem, most of its maneuvering engines have been hammered and its last vectored thrust to put it into a good position to engage the Malignant, means it is now heading on a collision course with the Atrocity. Its Captain orders the ship to be abandoned, even when if it slams into the Atrocity, with how damaged his ship is, it is meaningless. As a professional gesture, he has the Atrocity contacted to let them know they are abandoning and surrendering, and their intent was not to ram. He only hopes that such a gesture of "civilized" combat will ensure his men are not gunned down like wamp-rats.
The Captain of the Nee'sha orders an immediate course change and coms the rest of the fleet to cease operations on Kal'Shebbol and return to the staging area. It will take a fleet twice the size of what they had to challenge the Atrocity, he orders his fighters into a delaying screen in order for the capital ships time to turn away. But as he does he discovers those two other un-identified vessels are in the process of passing his ship, when they are struck by a brilliant green beam. They continue past still heading for the Malginant and to where the Atrocity itself is. One of the Junior officers reports the damage from the passing attack.
"Sir, that beam took out our shields over the top fire decks and breached our hull. Damage is contained sir, but that tore right through our defenses!"
From the shadows in the back of the red-lit bridge, a voice issues with an odd accent and a inappropriate mirth to it, it is enough to make the Captain's neck hairs raise and for him to wish he was on a nice sunny planet.
"Of course it did, just like this will go through you. Now sing for me human."
