Bakura Memorial Building (Bakur Complex)

The Bakur Memorial Building, also known as the Bakur Complex, serves as the center of government on Bakura. Located slightly southwest of the center of the capital city of Salis D'aar, the truncated, wedge-shaped building overlooks Statuary Park at the city's center. It was first the headquarters of the Bakur Mining Corporation, before becoming the location of the Bakuran Senate.

The Senate chamber is located in a wing of its own. The chamber is roughly rectangular, with a tiled, two-story-tall ceiling. At each corner are glass pillars, self-illuminating and open to the sky at the top. The Senate is arranged so that the Prime Minister (and Imperial governor, during the occupation) sits at the front of the room. On a lower level are a pair of tables for lower-ranking senators, and lower from those are a pair of tables for ministers and senior senators. In front of the senior tables is a space for speakers to address the Senate.

The "corporate wing" of the Building was completed approximately a century before the Battle of Bakura, possibly as a result of the droid uprising in 97 BBY. The Corporation may have been stationed elsewhere prior to that, that may have been when the government was established, or that may have been the year in which the Corporation turned over power to the Senate.

Following the Battle of Bakura, the Senate moved to the Bakuran Senate Complex.

The Bakuran Senate Complex is a bunker-like complex in Salis D'aar, Bakura, that housed the Bakuran Senate after the Battle of Bakura to provide a safer location for the Senate than the Bakur Memorial Building. In case of emergencies, a number of the city's citizens are also held inside the complex, which includes heavy armor and weapons caches to provide for self-defense.

The Serenity containing Nick, Cait, Claire, Colin and Phedra approaches the landing port of the Bakur Complex. After coming to a complete stop and touching down, Claire shuts down the engines and powers down the ship.

"Well, we're here everyone. Time to head out." She says and stands up. She quietly makes her way through the ship and opens the hatch, and extends the landing ramp.

Nick grins and stands up from his seat. "Well, time to go address the council." He follows Claire and arrives at the hatch and looks out to see his father, Lucian Cousland and several other members of the council waiting for them. Nick takes a deep breath and adjusting his clothes, steps out of the ship and heads down the ramp. He silently makes his way towards the group of people gathered there.

Nick grins and shrugs his shoulders. "Well, better than having no confidence at all then." His face then takes on a grim look. "Right. Nothing like fighting our own people who've gone bad. This is gonna be a tough fight."

Nick raises an eyebrow. "Yeah, I'd say it was long enough to be away from her." He chuckles then. "I was planning on having her go with us to the hangar after the meeting with the Bakuran Council."

Nick shakes his head. "You know what I mean Cait. She's perfect for the job. She's an excellent soldier and leader. I trust her with the ship."

Claire looks at everyone and says. "Well, we're nearing the Bakur Complex. Everyone get ready for landing."

She then turns to concentrate as the ship approaches the buldings.

True, Nick, true. Just as long as we don't get overconfident that is when you can start to make mistakes. Once you start thinking you are invincible is when you usually lose and badly. Yes, that is the worst.Yes it is. Cait agrees with a sigh.

She chuckles. I'm sure she will enjoy that.

Cait gives Nick an innocent look. Did I say otherwise? I'm sure she is exceptional if you put that much trust in her.

At Claire's annoucement Cait nods. Good.

After they land.

Solid ground again. Thank the Vala. She then follows Claire and Nick off the bridge. Colin follows her and Phedra brings up the rear.

Cait to Nick. We will keep out of sight no need for the Council to know that we are here. I rather not start speculation why we are here. And good luck. Cait and the others follow him off the ship. She then notices someone familiar just getting out of an air-car. Well if you want to ask Amelia I say you have your chance because if I'm not mistaken that's her now. Cait nods toward the pretty girl at the entrance in a blue dress.

As the aircar comes to a stop Amelia hastily exits. She nervously smoothes the skirt on her dress as she steps out of the aircar. She thanks the driver and starts to walk toward the entrance of the building. She hasn't yet noticed NIck or those with him.

I hope I'm not late and that Nick likes how I look today. I wonder what he wants to talk to me about it. she thinks as she give a nervous glance around. She gets a breathless feeling when she remembers the look in Nick's eyes when he said it.

~caits com beeps signaling an incoming message~

~Gin's overlly jovial voice chiming in~ "yo yo yo this is Gin giving a shout out to all listening. i got a friend in need and your the only one i can trust him with."

~His voice becoming serious, low, and quiet~ "If you could do this as a personal favor to me i'll owe you one. call this the type of favor that you can call in on anything. If you can't i understand."

When Cait's com beeps with an incoming message she looks down at it to see who is calling her and answers it. She smiles when she hears Gin's voice.

Hi Gin. Good to hear your voice. I was wondering how you were doing. When I hadn't heard from you I was starting to get worried about you. Where are you? Are you okay? How is Tenkai?

Oh? And who is that?

A favor? What kind of favor Gin? If I can I will. Just what did you have in mind for me to do for you? Does it have to do with the friend you mentioned? And why are you whispering are you in trouble Gin? Cait is now very curious.

[Gin Xyrin]

~A grin can almost be heard in Gin's voice~ "I'm good cait things have been extremely odd as of late but i'm good hell all my scars have vanished, and I'm sorry to have worried you"

"Right now i'm at Nar Shadda looking to dock and pick up a couple of things i need, Tenkai is Tenkai about as good as one can expect of the wolf"

"The person is Tenkai, i don't know if you have gotten the news from the kiddo or Takeda, but during our stay in chofin i got knocked out in a drunken brawl and apparently got cloned"

"I Have all my memories but his has more holes in it than anything i've ever seen."

"My favor is simple the man is a pack animal an individual that needs structure and people things that being on the Azure Wolf with me cannot be given, could he join you to some extent even if only as an allied gun?"

~his voice the whole time had been deteriorating from happy to saddened~ "thats the favor i need, nothing more. and no i'm in no trouble he just doesn't know that i'm doing this"

Cait can't help but smile when she hears the grin in Gin's voice. Well, I'm glad to hear you are doing good. She chuckles at his extremely odd comment. Just of late? Your scars have vanished? Now that is odd. Well, you know me I worry about everyone.

Nar Shadda? Really? We just left there a while ago. Oh? Is he having a problem?

No, The only message I got from Takeda was that he was free to leave Carratos and that he planned on going to Dathomir. I haven't heard from him since. Wait... back up ... you were what?! Did you say you were cloned? Cait asks not sure if she heard him right.

She shakes her head and partially amused, partially appalled and says. Only you would get in a drunken brawl and end up cloned, Gin. So let me get this straight you and Tenkai are now two separate people in two different bodies? Is that correct? Hmmm.... that is odd that you can remember but he can't. I can check him if you want and he agrees.

Driving you crazy is he? She says sympathetically. Sure he could join us if he wants. And don't worry I won't mention you asked me to do this. If you want you can join us here on Bakura or go to Yavin IV. I can send them a message to Yavin to expect you if you decide to go that route. Otherwise you can come here. Just tell them you are a guest of the Cousland family when you contact their orbital control.

Hearing the sadness in his voice, Cait asks. Are you sure that in all that is bothering you Gin? You sound a little down. What's wrong?

"I know you do and it's nice to be worried about"

"Wish i was a a little faster on my decision to come here oh well."

~Gin's grin can really be heard in his voice as cait does a rewind~ "Yep i was cloned though there seems to have been a fair share of physical shifts in both Tenkai and myself"

~Chuckling gin's voice drops its seriousness all together before regaining it~ "Yep seems like something that falls into my brand of psycho luck don't it. and yes we are in very seperate bodies seems i'm in the cloned one since he has all the scars"

~the com goes dead for a second~ "he will want to know what happened it was an all consuming question when this first happened"

"No he's not bugging me at all almost cracked a few ribs in a power debate won that one. but no he isn't bugging me in the slightest. besides you should remeber i'm already crazy. Thank you"

~his voice once again growing sorrowful~ "expect him alone i'll get him on his way to bakura. If anything he's another pair of hands that way"

~the com goes silent yet again~ "I'm fine guess that I find myself missing the sounds of people and sending off a person that is as close to family as possible for me is painful but necesary, I'll com you again when i get the opportunity, Gin out"

While Cait is on the comm with Gin, Nick quietly walks over to greet his father while Claire stays with the ship. Nick smiles and nods his head to his father in greeting. "Hello father. Sorry it took so long to get here. Had to make a detour and rescue someone. So, is the council ready to be addressed on the current situation?"

Nick's father, Lucian Cousland smiles in greeting and nods his head to his son's question. "No problem son. The Bakuran parliament is ready and waiting for you to address them. Everyone is in place inside already. So, whenever you and your companions are ready to proceed, let me know and we can begin the session."

Nick nods his head. "That's good to hear father. I'll let Cait and the others know then we can get started. Also, after we're done with the parliament, I've got to get to the underground hangar bay. I've just received word that the Normandy is completed and ready for launch."

Lucian raises an eyebrow. "Oh, so that's what you were up to there. Interesting, can't wait to see it son. Hopefully it'll be worth the millions of credits you spent in the construction of it." Lucian then spots a familiar figure standing not to far from them. Lucian grins and looks at Nick. "Speaking of which, you have a visitor who's apparently dying to see you." He says and nods his head in Amelia's direction.

Nick chuckles. "Heh, you'll like her. She'll definately be an asset to have in fighting the Oathbreakers." He raises an eyebrow and then turns to see Amelia standing near them. He quietly excuses himself and walks over to her.

"Amelia. Its great to see you. How are you doing? You look wonderful." He says in greeting and gives her a gentle hug.

Well you are worth the worry, Gin. I wish you were too, I would have liked to see you there. Just watch your step while you are there. They aren't known for playing nice.

Cloned. Cait shakes her head. Wow. Oh, really? What kind of physical shifts?

Cait can't help but laugh at his psycho luck comment. Yes, that does seem to be your kind of luck doesn't it? Now that is interesting. I wonder why they did that? It is certainly an odd thing to happen.

Cait looks at the com when it goes dead for a second. Gin? She then breathes a sigh relief when he comes back on. I thought I lost you for a moment. I'm sure he does. It didn't happend to me and I want to know what happened and why. Abducting people and cloning them is not normal and rather suspcious. I wonder what they are up to doing that.

I'm glad to hear he is not bugging you. Power debate? You and Tenkai were fighting? I'm not sure I want to even know what you two did that caused that. She chuckles at his crazy comment. Right I keep forgetting. You're just my friend, Gin. And you're welcome.

You aren't coming too? Cait sounds disappointed. I was hoping to see you too.

I think I understand. You have been part of each other for a long time. It must seem strange to be alone in your head. Alright Gin. Take care okay?

When she gets off the comm she notices Nick's father has joined them. She walks over to him and Nick just as Nick walks over to talk to Amelia. Cait smiles and at Lucian. Good to see you again, Lucian. Colin has already said hello. Phedra prowls around the perimeter.

Amelia looks up at the sound of her name and her face lights up when she sees who it is. Nick! It is great to see you too. I'm doing good and you? She says with a glowing look that she is unaware of in her eyes. He looks great. I hope he likes how I look today. She thinks as she looks into his eyes and sees the warm look in them.

She then blushes at his compliment, her cheeks turn a light pink. Thank you. You look great too. She then gives a mental groan Oh, why did I say that? I couldn't come up with something better? More witty not so lame? She thinks. But she warmly returns his hug and tries to resist the temptation to lay her head on his shoulder and not let go. It feels like home in his embrace and she can't help give a little sigh of contentment as he holds her close.

Lucian nods his head. "I trust your trip here was safe and eneventful Lady Cait?" He says after nodding a greeting to Colin.

Nick smiles softly and then releases her from the hug. "I'm doing even better now that I've seen you. Its been a rough couple of months. Just glad to be home. I have to address the council on some important matters. But after that, I've got something really important to show you, to everyone. A secret project I've been working on." His face takes on a serious concerned look. "I just hope it'll be enough to help us when its needed."

At that time, Claire finally emerges from the ship. She walks over to join Cait and the others. "Well, glad everything went smoothly. Just happy to be back on firm ground again. Hello Father." She says and walks over to Lucian and gives him a hug.

Lucian smiles and hugs her back. "Hello my darling daughter." He looks off at her ship. "I see you've finally got yourself a ship of your own. Very nice dear one."

Claire smiles and nods her head. "Yes sir. Moving up in the world I think."

[Tenkai Xyrin]

~Reaching the Bakura Memorial Buliding the droid begins the docking procedure much to Tenkai's relief as it powers down the systems~ "Finally I get to exit this flying distergrating fish can"

~Heading for the exit the ship buckles as part of the landing gear crumples knocking Tenkai against the wall~ "I'm gonna beat his within an inch of his life let him heal and do it again"

~pushing himself back towards the exit he hits the button to open it the door hissing before malfunctioning halfway~ "Seriously" ~sliding his gear out of the exit Tenkai presses against the door with a groan as it opens minutely more sliding under the opening he strenches and kicks the ship~

~shouldering his gear he grabs a com dialing cait's~

"Just landed got any advice"

Cait to Lucian.

"Yes, Thank the Force. I think I have had enough of eventful to last me awhile." She says somewhat humorously. "You are looking well, Lucian. Where is your wife? I don't see her here. Didn't she come with you?"

Colin smiles in reply.

Amelia to Nick after they hug and he says.

Yes, it has been. I was never so happy to be home myself. I didn't think I would ever see Bakura again. She says as she glances around. I'm glad you're home again. She blushes again realizing what she just said. I mean I'm glad you are glad you're back. Address the coucil? Then it must be really important.

A secret project? I get to see it? She almost dances with excitement her eyes glowing. Oh, Nick. The glowing look dims when she sees his serious, concerned look. That bad?

Cait notices a ship approaching their location, a very dilapidated ship.

She senses a familiar presence on board. She holds her breath as she watches it trying to land as pieces start falling off of it. She breathes a sigh of relief when it lands safely.

When the door opens kind of and a bag comes sliding out and then Tenkai follows it. When he turns and kicks the ship Cait who has been watching can't help but chuckle.

I think I better greet my friend before he does more than kick that thing.

She says as she starts walking toward his position just as she gets a com message from Tenkai.

Yes, I saw. You okay, Tenkai? If you turn around you can see me. She waves.

Yes. Get a new ship? Don't tell me Gin put you in that piece of junk?

[Tenkai Xyrin]

~placing another boot into the side of the ship Tenkai groans in disgust in unison as the ship groans and part of the land mechanism fails dropping the thing on its side as cait's com registers in his mind Turning he gives a semi wave the gesture unfamiliar to him~

~slinging his gear up over his shoulder his Sudu'Kem sticking ackwardly out of the pack he begins to walk towards cait a smirk on his face~ "Nice to see a face that isn't a droid or my brother's"

~looking over his shoulder as another piece of the ship clangs off the surface of the landing pad~ "There is nothing new about that piece of garbage, personally i'm amazed that it managed leaving orbit the first time a miracle that it made it here"

"And to answer your question yes Gin did put me in that overheard him talking with the previous owner making sure it was actually legal guess that's why i got it over something safe" ~A growl rumbles from his throat~ "He called his one order from our dominence contest on me"

Nice to see you too, Tenkai. Though a bit of surprise.

Cait puts away her com-link when she gets within hearing distance of Tenkai. She chuckles when he kicks it and it falls over.

I think it is already dead Tenkai. I'll ask someone to come and tow it away for scrap if you want. Is there anything on it you want or need before I do?

She looks at the scrap heap that was a ship and shakes her head. A miracle is right. I'm glad you made it safely before it died.

Ah....well where you were that would have been hard to find. I think he didn't want you to get in trouble for being in a stolen ship. But he should have gotten you something better.

She shakes her head with a laugh. You two. I'm glad you both survived the contest. But you being in two different bodies now that is a story. You could have knocked me over when Gin told me. It could only happen to you two.

She walks back to where the others are.

I'm not sure who you know or remember in the group. Come over and I"ll introduce you to everyone. I hope you don't mind staying on planet for awhile. We have some things to take care of here before we return to Yavin IV.

"So long as i'm not getting shot at i find most suprises to be most pleasent."

~Looking at Cait he mearly shrugs~ "For this this dead is still not dead enough, and if you could get it scraped it would be most appriciated Gin said to do so anyway."

~Tenkai lets out a low chuckle~ "Miralces seem to be a frequent thing for me lately thus logic says must mean that this is the calm before the storm"

"That most likely was his logic and he said to scape it so i don't think he wanted it to be anything that would be a regrettable thing to destroy"

~Chuckling Tenkai looks down his glowing orange eyes full of humor as he shrugs~ "We are literally cut from the same cloth so our luck seems to be the same." ~Smirking at Cait he shrugs~ "Seems to be a common enough theme for people who find out least I have clothes for this one when the first person to find out saw us Gin and I were in hospital gowns."

~Following Cait Tenkai merely nods~ "that would be appreciated. and i don't mind personally this is pleasent being on solid ground is a luxury after so long on the Wolf, and i would like to be of any help if you need it"

Well this surprise was a nice one at least for me. Cait says with a smile.

Cait laughs. That must have been some trip on this thing. Will do. She opens a com-line to contact someone to come and pick up what is left of the ship. When she finishes she says. And done. Did he? Well then he is going to get his wish.

Oh? If this the calm before the storm I hope I don't see the storm. She says with a chuckle.

That could be. But still .... that thing... I'm surprised you could get it to fly in the first place.
It was a disaster waiting to happen.

Cait laughs. Yes, so you are. Well having clothes is important. She laughs when he mentions the hospital gowns. Now I wish I seen that one. I'm surprised they found one to fit Gin. She says with a chuckle.


You're welcome, Tenkai. I'm with you there. It is nice to feel solid ground beneath my feet. I get tired of being on ships. Well, we don't need any at the moment. We are here mostly on family business but you can never tell what is going to happen we might take you up on that.

She walks over to Lucian, Claire, and Colin who are talking as they wait for Cait, Nick and Amelia to join them. Phedra is still prowling around being in curious cat mode.

She nods toward Phedra. I think you remember my friend, Phedra, right?

As they come up to the others. Lucian, Claire, Colin, I want you to meet my friend, Tenkai Xyrin. Tenkai, This Lucian Cousland, the Prime Minister of Bakura, his daughther, Jedi Knight Claire Cousland and my twin brother, Colin Windancer.

She indicates Nick and Amelia talking close by. That is his son, Jedi Master Nick Cousland and Nick's friend Amelia Rinaldi, who is an aide to the Ambassador of Bakura to Courscant.

The Cousland family are distant cousins of my family, one their ancestors married a sister of one my ancestors.

[Tenkai Xyrin]

~Smirking at Cat Tenkai nods~ "I find this surpirse to be most pleasent myself"

~Tenkai smirks as cait calls for the removal of the deathtrap~ "Thank you" ~Looking back at the ship he sighs~ "unfortunently"

~Tenkai smiles lightly~ "Let us just hope that the calm is only exagerating the storm"

~Tenkai looks at Cait with a smirk~ "i do find clothing rather preferable at least when around others" ~The memory flashes to the front of Tenkai's mind~ "Yeah a surprise for sure didn't know they made anything that would be comfortable for me much less Gin. since it seems he got taller and developed more muscle"

~Tenkai shifts his feet a little sorely wishing to not have his boots between his feet and the ground~ "I don't under stand how anyone can spend prolonged periods of time on anything but solid ground, the fact reinforced by that" ~he nods back towards the rapidly deteriorating ship~

"Okay well i hope to not intrude on pa...family business if i am please tell me and i can wait else where, but i am here to help" ~he says trying to refrain from blushing at his near slip of the tongue and hoping no one took notic his mind trying to rewrite pack with family and failing~

~Following Cait Tenkai can't help but smirk~ "I remember phedra quite well one of the few i do remember"

~stopping be hind Cait Tenkai adopts the famous deer in the head lights look as his brain tries to sort out what to do coming up with one solution he bows~ "It is an honor to meet you all"

~Looking at cait he merely nods~ "Intriuging"

Cait chuckles. We are in agreement tben.

The scrap droids come and drag the mess of a ship away. Well you won't have to see that piece of junk again. But you will get some credits for what is left of it. Ah, I thought so. One of the droids come up and hands her a credit stick for what was left of the ship. For the mental of the ship. It says. It then walks away. She hands it to Tenkai. Here take this. Use it to get you something you need or want. She gives him another warm smile. You should get some benefit from that thing.

I hope so. Storms can cause too much damage.

She chuckles again at his comment about the clothing. Quite true. She shakes her but smiles. Yeah you two are not exactly standard size. Poor Gin, he has the worst of it that way.

I don't know. I like to feel the earth beneath my bare feet as much as possible and breathe fresh air. I don't know how others can stand walking around in those tin cans and breathing recycled air all the time.

Don't worry you aren't intruding at all. She smiles kindly at his slip of the tongue. A pack is a family but one of wolves. They are close-knit and work together for the good of all in the pack. I can't think of a better example of a good family. So you can be part of our pack for as long as you wish to be.

Well good, Phedra will be happy you remembered her.

Cait givesTenkai a sympathetic look when she sees his deer in the head lights look.

Colin gives Tenkai a warm smile. Nice to meet you, Tenkai. Any friend of Cait's is a friend of mine. If you need any weapons or armor or need any repairs for either talk to me and I will see what I can do for you.

Cait to Tenkai. Colin is master metal weapons smith and armorer. He also designs ships as a hobby in his spare time.

Colin smirks at his sister and saying somewhat humorously. You left out master swordman and all around good guy. Cait groans and rolls her eyes at her brother.

Colin did you really have to say that? Colin just grins and winks at Tenkai.

With our people, family is important no matter how distantly related. She looks at Colin when she says the next comment then at Tenkai. Tenkai, you are now adopted into our family as long as you want to be.

~Watching them drag the ship away Tenkai smirks~ "thats a really very pleasent thought" ~Looking back at the ship slightly confused as cait hands him the credit chip~ "That thing was actually worth something who knew" ~Giving her a small smile he nods~ "true"

~Chuckling Tenkai glances around~ "one can only hope"

~Looking at cait he chuckles~ "apparently, but i don't think he sees this as a issue because it seems he has none of the expected issues that logic says should occure from rapid size change"

"Agreed right now i'm wishing i could go without my boots and actually flex my feet and get the full solid ground sensation"

"Okay good to know becuase in all honesty i really don't know where i would wait" ~He can't help but smile as cait takes his slip of the tongue and makes it an incredibly positive thing to him as is her statement~ "as long as you'll have me i would be honored"

~Smirking Tenkai streches his shoulders again the flight having been far from kind as his back and shoulders pop~ "I'm quite happy to remember her so the idea the sentiment might be shared is rather pleasent"

~Looking at Colin Tenkai smirks~ "I thank you friends are something i do not have many of" ~His smirk turnes into an almost feral grin~ "I will have to take you up on that i find myself woefully underarmed"

"Intriuging hobby"

~Tenkai stifles a laugh as he watches the two siblings~

"a sentiment that i can whole heartedly stand behind" ~her next statement leaves him stunned his mind trying to wrap itself around what she just said a single tear coming to his eye as a silent almost non-existant heave as he tries to keep composure and not break down~ "Are.....Are you sure" ~His voice cracked ever so slightly as he tries to gather his thoughts~
